Roles & Responsibilities

• They are responsible to arrange for rigging materials during lifting operations.
• They must select rigging to suit the load and install the lifting gears by complying to the lifting plan
• They connect and disconnect the load for any lifting operations
• They must participate in the TBM
• They must ensure that they fully understand the lifting accessories and its functions
• They must inspect the lifting accessories before and after use in any lifting operation
• They must remove defective lifting accessories from use
• They must have an understanding of the emergency procedures relating to lifting equipment they are using.
• They must carry out proper housekeeping before, during and at the end of the lifting operation.

Qualifications

• Technical School, SSCE, NABTEB.
• Riggers Certification
• Minimum of 3 years experience.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Loading and unloading goods from vehicles such as lorries or aircraft
• Moving goods packed on pallets or in crates around the storage facility stacking goods in the correct storage bays.
• Following stock control instructions, checking loads are secure and stacking empty pallets
• Performing daily equipment checks, for example recharging the truck's battery
• Helping to load and unload trucks by hand where necessary, performing other warehouse tasks like packing
• Equipment checks maneuvering in confined spaces with and without a load stacking and unloading items at different heights.

Qualifications

• A minimum of Trade test certificate in Forklift operation, IADC Drilling industry training (DIT), CITB, Association of industrial Truck Trainers (AITT).
