Job Summary

• This role is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced HR professional with deep knowledge of the upstream oil & gas environment to drive strategic HR initiatives and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement HR strategies and policies aligned with business goals.
• Manage end-to-end recruitment, ensuring the attraction and retention of top talent.
• Drive performance management processes (KPIs, appraisals, and development plans).
• Oversee employee relations, disciplinary actions, and grievance resolution.
• Lead HR operations: onboarding, offboarding, payroll coordination, and documentation.
• Champion learning and development to build capability and support career growth.
• Ensure compliance with labor laws, HSE regulations, and organizational standards.
• Leverage HR data and metrics to support decision-making.
• Partner with leadership to strengthen culture, engagement, and retention.

Requirements

• B.Sc Degree in Social Sciences or a relevant field
• Minimum of 8 years HR experience with proven expertise in administration and performance management
• Mandatory: Relevant experience in the upstream oil & gas sector (E&P or servicing)
• HR certifications (ACIPM, APHRI, HRCI) – an added advantage
• Strong knowledge of labor laws and HR best practices in Nigeria
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; HRIS knowledge is a plus
• Ability to maintain discretion, accuracy, and professionalism in a fast-paced environment.
