Morison Industries Plc is seeking a qualified and experienced Production Pharmacist to join its pharmaceutical manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, supervising, and coordinating production activities while ensuring compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and all applicable regulatory requirements.
The ideal candidate should possess strong technical expertise, excellent leadership skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality pharmaceutical products.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise and coordinate daily pharmaceutical production activities in line with approved production schedules.
Ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and company quality policies.
Review and accurately complete batch manufacturing records, production logs, and related documentation.
Monitor production processes to ensure products consistently meet quality, safety, and regulatory standards.
Collaborate with the Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Control (QC) teams to facilitate timely product release.
Ensure the proper operation, cleaning, and maintenance of production equipment and manufacturing areas.
Investigate production deviations, implement Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA), and recommend process improvements.
Train and supervise production personnel on GMP, safety procedures, and manufacturing best practices.
Monitor raw material utilization and production efficiency to minimize waste and optimize output.
Support internal audits, regulatory inspections, process validation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Skills and Qualifications
Applicants must possess:
Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy (B.Pharm or Pharm.D).
Current registration and a valid practising licence with the Pharmacists Council of Nigeria (PCN).
Post-NYSC experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing or production.
Strong knowledge of GMP, pharmaceutical manufacturing processes, and regulatory requirements.
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and production documentation.
Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet production deadlines.
Working Conditions
Full-time, on-site position based in Lagos.
Manufacturing environment requiring strict adherence to GMP and workplace safety procedures.
May require occasional overtime or shift work depending on production schedules.
