    Procurement & Inventory Officer

    Responsibilities

    • Responsible to verify all goods arrived as per agreed purchase, delivery note, and agreed quantity have been received.
    • Keep records of items shipped, received, or transferred to another location
    • Prepare LPOs promptly to the vendor along with the delivery schedule
    • Always confirm the specific required material before purchase
    • Support the Purchase Manager in developing a robust procurement and vendor management system to support the strategic objectives of the Organization.
    • Device and deploy useful sourcing strategies for the Organization.
    • Evaluate suppliers, conduct interviews with vendors, negotiate supplier agreements, and manage supplier and vendor contracts
    • Monitor company purchases, deliveries, and expenditures to determine if goods are defective or not meeting performance demands.
    • Develop key relationships with business stakeholders and strategic supply partners to improve procurement activities.
    • Provide periodic reporting for management on purchasing, controls, and processes.
    • Conducting product research and sourcing new suppliers and vendors
    • Sourcing materials, goods, products, and services and negotiating the best or most cost-effective contracts and deals.

    Requirements

    • HND or B.Sc in Business Administration or any related field.
    • Minimum of 5 Years Working Experience as a Procurement & Inventory Officer
    • Must be organized and punctual.
    • Must be conversant with Microsoft Dynamic NAV ERP
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
    • Well-presented and professional.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Ideal Candidate will be resident, in Sabon Wuse, Tafa or Suleija, Niger State or Abuja, or willing to relocate to Sabon Wuse at their own expense.

    Health & Safety Officer

    Responsibilities

    Policy Development:

    • Develop, implement, and update health and safety policies and procedures to comply with local, state, and federal regulations.
    • Communicate policies and procedures to employees, ensuring understanding and compliance.

    Risk Assessment:

    • Conduct regular risk assessments and inspections to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions.
    • Analyze accident and incident data to identify trends and areas for improvement.

    Training and Education:

    • Develop and deliver health and safety training programs for employees at all levels.
    • Keep abreast of industry best practices and changes in regulations to ensure training content is up-to-date.

    Emergency Preparedness:

    • Develop and maintain emergency response plans.
    • Coordinate drills and exercises to ensure employees are prepared for emergencies.

    Regulatory Compliance:

    • Stay current with health and safety legislation and regulations.
    • Ensure the organization's compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.

    Investigations:

    • Conduct investigations into accidents, near misses, and other safety-related incidents.
    • Prepare and maintain accurate records of investigations and corrective actions.

    Safety Culture Promotion:

    • Promote a positive safety culture throughout the organization.
    • Encourage employee involvement in safety initiatives and programs.

    Collaboration:

    • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to address safety concerns and implement improvements.
    • Liaise with regulatory agencies and external stakeholders as needed.

    Requirements

    • HND/Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
    • Proven experience as a Health and Safety Manager or similar role.
    • Professional certification in health and safety (e.g., CSP, CIH) is preferred.
    • Strong knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
