    Process Control Engineer

    Job Purpose

    • An opportunity exists for a highly skilled and result driven Process Control Engineer in our Gateway Brewery located in South-West Nigeria reporting to the Manufacturing System Manager.
    • The successful incumbent will manage, design, co-ordinate and implement the installations of new process control systems within Brewing, Energy & Fluids and Packaging.  
    • Ensure sustainable integrity and stability of the Control and Automation infrastructure and proactively recommend best practices within the Control and Automation Arena.

    Key Roles and Responsibilities
    Amongst other duties, the Process Control Engineer will:

    • Provide insight and feedback on how processes are controlled to area Support plant process optimization in terms of Quality, Cost and Speed improvements   
    • To support regions with process optimization efforts in terms of improving quality, cost and speed of brewery processes managers and process engineers so that optimization proposals can be engineered.
    • Support the change control process at the brewery to ensure that approved changes are made in accordance with approved procedures and vendor recommendations to the control and automation system as specified by area managers and process engineers.
    • Follow-up on the effectiveness and sustainability of changes made
    • To ensure and maintain control and automation systems uptime by continuously assessing and mitigating risks, resolving breakdowns and instituting sustainable prevention measures
    • Conducting C&A risk assessments and recommending mitigation as per the site risk assessment process.
    • Executing mitigation efforts in reduction of the risks identified
    • Attending to and resolving C&A breakdowns both during and after office hours either remotely or by coming to site.
    • Conducting after action reviews to engineer, design and execute sustainable preventative measures
    • Support regions with C&A project implementation and ensure that they adhere to the C&A standards within the project.  
    • To support regions with control and automation project implementations by ensuring correct control and automation standards are followed and advising on technologies where applicable
    • Provide input to the Business Case by reviewing business cases and making recommendations to the regions.
    • Assist with technology selection by providing regions with insight into new technologies and making recommendations around these
    • Provide regions with advice of technology implementation during technologies.
    • Provide regions with Divisional Standards where they exist or assist regions in developing new standards in conjunction with the regions, design and commissioning of projects.
    • Support regions with problems experienced in the Control and Automation layer that has been escalated to BIS.  

    Qualifications and Experience
    The occupant of this position should possess:

    • Minimum of Degree in Electrical Engineering / Software
    • Minimum of 3 years’ experience with Control and Automation
    • Networks and servers
    • Microsoft server software
    • Manufacturing Execution systems (MES).
    • PLC systems
    • Manufacturing processes
    • S88 batch control standard
    • Field instrumentation and networks
    • SCADA systems

    Project Engineer

    Job Purpose

    • Opportunity exists for a Raw Material Controller - Brewing in International Breweries Plc Ilesha, reporting to the Brewing Manager.
    • The incumbent is to provide specialist technical support to the Supply Chain, in particular to assist with research, analysis, evaluation and implementation of technical projects   

    Key Roles and Responsibilities

    • To manage the execution of Capital Projects at a Regional level following approved project processes to ensure budgets are met, timelines are adhered to, quality of delivery is to specification and business benefit is derived
    • To ensure the Capital Budgeting process for the Region results in effective Capin business planning in the form of a Regional 5-year plan and a Capin budget for the next year
    • To ensure that all Regional Capin projects are optimized using Capital Optimization and value Engineering techniques and that the projects business objectives are achieved by using solutions that are both technically and financially optimum
    • To interface with Divisional Project Managers on centrally controlled projects and NPD Projects, to implement the site-specific project requirements using approved project processes and to ensure interface with relevant Regional stakeholders and resources that are required to be involved to ensure the project is successful.
    • To perform Project Management process governance regionally by performing self audits of a cross section of Regional projects.

    Profile
    The occupant of this position should possess:

    • To perform Project Management process governance regionally by performing self audits of a cross section of Regional projects.
    • BTech is acceptable with three years additional experience Project Management Professional (PMP) Accreditation.
    • 5 years Engineering experience in maintenance, design, construction & commissioning
    • 3 years Project Management Experience
    • Min – 3-6 months on the job training
    • 2 years Engineering experience in maintenance, design, construction & commissioning
    • 2 years Project Management Experience.

    Energy & Fluid Specialist

    Key Purpose Statement

    • The primary function of this position is to lead the Process Engineering function in the Brewery and optimize the generation and utilization of all utilities within the process areas in the Plant.

    Key Outputs and Responsibilities

    • Apply engineering principles in assisting Brewing and E&F production teams to achieve optimal plant performance.
    • Provide line support for situational and systemic problem-solving.
    • Execute identified process optimization initiatives.
    • Execute identified process capability studies.
    • Provide design support for regional capital projects.
    • Support the execution of regional capital projects.
    • Lead small CAPIN projects in Brewing and/or E&F plants.
    • Provide coaching to process engineering trainees.
    • Assist with the identification and closure of Brewing and E&F technological gaps.
    • Manage, co-ordinate and implement improvement projects to ensure optimization of Brewing and E&F plant and process.
    • Identifying and delivering initiatives to deliver step change performance improvement and process stability in order to realize true process capability.
    • All work is carried out using the VPO principles
    • Understands, Implements and Complies to the GOP requirements.

    Qualifications & Experience

    • Minimum of B.Sc. / HND in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering.
    • 2 - 3 years as a Process Engineer.

    Roles, Skills and attributes required:

    • Deep understanding of Energy & Fluid and Brewing plant, Process Controls and Automation, design and commissioning.
    • Rigorous analytical skills and ability to apply them to complex problems
    • Ability to develop project plans and meet project deadlines
    • Ability to multi-task
    • Work on his/her own initiatives.

    Utilities Electrician

    Job Purpose

    • Opportunity exists for a Utilities Electrician in International Breweries Plc Gateway Brewery, reporting to the Utilities Engineer.
    • The incumbent will provide specialised electrical artisan skill and knowledge to the shift team, and to support the operations, maintenance of the E&F plant and to perform and assist in problem solving       

    Key Roles and Responsibilities
    Health, Safety and Environment:

    • Comply with safe, health and environmental procedures and legislation.
    • Maintain safety and housekeeping standards
    • Identification of unsafe practices through SIO's.
    • Safety inspections conducted.
    • Safe maintenance practices audited.
    • Adherence to PPE policies.
    • Maintenance tools are in good working order

    Maintain and repair plant and associated devices:      

    • Locate plant, equipment, spares and relevant documentation and or systems.
    • Plan and prepare the job.
    • Carry out repairs / maintenance.
    • Operate workshop equipment.

    Work in Teams:

    • Work orders complete
    • Generate tags for follow on work
    • Satisfied customers - no rework.

    Profile
    The occupant of this position should possess:

    • HND / B.Sc in Electrical.
    • Electrical artisan - Trade Tested.
    •  2 - 3 months on the job training.
    • Manufacturing Basic Maintenance Training.
    • Ideal 3-6 months on the job training.
    • 1 - 2 years as an Electrical Artisan in similar industry
