    Principal Mechanical Rotating Equipment Engineer

    Role Description:

    • To deliver mechanical rotating equipment engineering activities and deliverables for assigned projects and ensure timely completion to the required quality standards.
    • Deliver Mechanical Rotating Equipment Package scope for the BN EPC1 project.
    • Work in a multi-discipline project team providing all necessary support towards ensuring quality work delivery on schedule.
    • Work and guide contractor team in delivering the rotating equipment package in line with project specifications.
    • No direct reports.
    • No CAPEX budgets.

    Key Accountabilities:

    • Adhere to and work in line with company guidelines on Health, Safety, Security, and Environment (HSSE) and Ethics & Compliance.
    • Drive the implementation of mechanical rotating equipment requirements in the design, fabrication, testing, installation, pre-commissioning, and commissioning of assigned project. Ensure the final products delivered meets the applicable code requirements as well as the project scope of work and specifications.
    • Carry out mechanical design for rotating equipment and generate/review all rotating equipment design deliverables including, but not limited to:
      • Rotating Equipment Specifications,
      • Rotating Equipment Data Sheets,
      • Packaged Equipment specifications,
      • Rotating Equipment Calculations and Analysis,
      • Material Requisitions,
      • Supplier Document Requirement Lists,
      • Bid Packages,
      • Purchase Orders.
    • Drive the delivery of rotating equipment scope by third parties (EPC, design houses and Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM), and provide discipline support from detailed engineering to commissioning.
    • Review contractor and OEM’s deliverables to ensure compliance with project specifications, relevant codes and standards, and best industry practices within contractual review periods.
    • Validation of rotating equipment sizing, selection, layout (general arrangement) and fit for purpose design for the project as required.
    • Carryout appropriate discipline, inter-discipline, inter-package checks and review of engineering design work.
    • Address rotating equipment related technical queries and clarification questions from original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), vendors and contractors during the detailed design activity.
    • Follow-on engineering: Remain engaged in design issues and decisions throughout construction.
    • Review of construction drawings for all items across the rotating equipment packages for installation and construction activities, including providing support for development of work packages.
    • Balance technical assurance and commercial considerations to deliver rotating equipment scope effectively.
    • Contribute to the development and deployment of fit for purpose quality plan and Inspection and Test Plan (ITP) including materials management procedure for the Project.
    • Create demonstrable value for customers by understanding their drivers and critical success factors

    Qualification, Experience & Competence Requirements:

    • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in mechanical engineering.
    • COREN Registered Engineer.
    • Medically Certified fit to work.
    • A minimum of 15 years of experience in design of offshore oil and gas production facilities with at least 10 years specifically in major rotating equipment engineering design and installation.
    • Have at least 7 years’ experience in the detailed design, manufacture, installation and commissioning of multi-stage centrifugal pumps, compressors, and gas turbines.
    • Thorough knowledge of offshore engineering construction methods including its practice and procedures.
    • Demonstrated experience working on engineering teams on at least 3 projects of total value US$15 MM each construction contract value.
    • Experience with brownfield projects and FPSO modification is highly desirable.
    • Knowledge of rotor, fluid, aero dynamics, and finite element analysis for rotating equipment is desirable.
    • Computer literate, with proficiency in the use of MS suites including rotating equipment design spreadsheets.

    Principal Instrumentation, Control and Automation Engineer

    Role Overview:

    • Deliver Process Automation Control and Optimisation (PACO) package scope for the BN EPC1 project
    • Work in a multi-discipline project team providing all necessary support towards ensuring quality work delivery on schedule
    • Work and guide contractor team in delivering the PACO package in line with project specifications

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Adhere to and work in line with company guidelines on Health, Safety, Security, and Environment (HSSE) and Ethics & Compliance.
    • Contribute to excellent HSE performance throughout the engineering phase of the project life cycle.
    • Drive the delivery of Instrumentation, Control, Automation and Safeguarding system scope by third parties (EPC, design houses, OEMs, Main Automation Contractor) and provide discipline support from detailed engineering to commissioning.
    • Review contractor’s work to ensure compliance with Project Specifications, relevant codes and standards, and best industry practices within contractual review periods.
    • Carryout appropriate disciple, inter-discipline, inter-package checks and review of engineering design work.
    • Contribute to and drive all PACO related studies and workshops eg. SIL assessment, Alarm rationalisation etc.
    • Review of construction drawings for all items across the PACO package for installation and construction activities, including providing support for development of work packages.
    • Balance technical assurance and commercial considerations to deliver IC&A scope effectively.
    • Exhibit strong abilities and experience within the IC&A field, including focus on Process Safety and Automation.
    • Ensure successful integration of PACO design across all vendor packages.
    • Demonstrate an open mindset to learn and adopt best practices from Shell, partners, and the industry,
    • including the benefits of replication and continuous improvement in projects.
    • Instrumentation, control and automation scope supervision during construction, pre-commissioning and commissioning in the field.
    • Support the CSU team in the handover of equipment and documentation to the operation team.
    • Ensure seamless integration of new instrumentation and packages into the existing control system.
    • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure project alignment and successful delivery.
    • Keep track on the execution schedule and report any issues to stakeholders.
    • Ensure quality of technical work and the technical integrity, functionality, constructability, safe operation and reliability of designs.
    • Update of as-built documentation to ensure adequate handover as required.

    Qualification, Experience & Competence Requirements:

    • B.Sc./B.Eng/M.Sc/M.Eng Electrical/Electronics/Instrumentation/Controls Engineering or equivalent
    • Medically certified fit to work
    • A COREN Registered engineer
    • Possess valid BOSIET certificate and DPR Offshore Safety Permit
    • At least 15 years relevant experience in oil and gas industry with a minimum of 10 years specifically in instrumentation and control engineering design and installation
    • Extensive demonstrable experience in Field instrumentation, Control & Automation engineering,
    • Process safeguarding systems and Base layer control
    • Thorough knowledge of oil field engineering construction methods including its practice and procedures.
    • Demonstrated experience working on engineering teams on at least 3 projects of total value US$15 MM each construction contract value.
    • Experience with brownfield projects and FPSO modifications is highly desirable.
    • Computer literate, with proficiency in use of MS suites and I&C tools such as SmartPlant Instrumentation.
    • Be experience in applicable I&C engineering standards (ISA / IEC / NEMA / API), installation, and commissioning standards. Deep working knowledge in external technical standards and in applying technical expertise and experience to deliver engineering solutions that drives best value.
    • Experience working with Automation contractors and driving integration of other third-party packages into the automation system
    • Demonstrate ability to manage detailed engineering (to ready for construction), site implementation work, commissioning and startup support in oil and gas facilities.
    • Proven track record of leading instrumentation, control and automation scopes in the field during project execution.
    • A high degree of skill in written and oral communications
    • Knowledge of subsea control systems and interface with topsides control systems is an advantage
    • Knowledge of Bonga FPSO would be an added advantage

    Principal Electrical Engineer

    Role Overview

    • To deliver electrical discipline engineering activities and deliverables for assigned projects and ensure timely completion to the required quality standards.
    • Deliver Electrical scope for the BN EPC1 project
    • Work in a multi-discipline project team providing all necessary support towards ensuring quality work delivery on schedule
    • Networks with Discipline Heads and Asset and Project engineering Leads and Project
    • Engineers within SNEPCO for successful execution of projects.

    Key Accountabilities:

    • Execute technical work for FEED and Detailed Designs (designs, specifications, drawings, etc.) within designated scopes.
    • Carry out Electrical design, and generate all electrical design deliverables including but not limited to:
      • Load schedule.
      • Electro Magnetic Compatibility studies.
      • Electrical Key and Single Line Diagrams.
      • Substation/Switch room Layout Drawings.
      • Power Generation and Distribution Philosophy.
      • Systems Operations Philosophy.
      • MTO
      • Connection Diagrams.
      • Cable Sizing Calculation and Selection Report.
      • Cable Tray and Cable Routing Layout Drawings.
      • Lighting and Small Power Layout Drawings.
      • Earthing Layout Drawings.
      • Electrical Heat Tracing Drawings.
      • Electrical Specifications and Data Sheets.
      • Building Layout Drawings.

    • Perform Power System Studies (Including but not limited to Short circuit/load flow, Fault

    • Carry out appropriate discipline and inter discipline checks and reviews of engineering and

    • Ensure Integration of Electrical Engineering design from all other vendor packages

    • Support the CSU team in the handover of equipment and documentation to the operation team.
    • Carry out verification and follow-up on the update to as-built documents.

    JOB REQUIREMENTS:

    • COREN Registered Professional Engineer.
    • 15 years of experience in design of offshore oil and gas production facilities including 12 years’ experience in engineering design of oil facilities, petrochemical or oil and gas handling projects and training/competence development for junior engineers.
    • Thorough knowledge of oil field engineering construction methods including its practice and procedures.
    • Demonstrated experience working on engineering teams on at least 3 projects of total value US$15 MM each construction contract value.
    • Familiar with codes standards regulations and practices applicable to the design and
    • construction of offshore structures/production facilities, including: IEC, IOGP etc
    • Effective communication within team and with stakeholders
    • Construction experience in Electrical installations for Oil and Gas facilities
    • Knowledge drawings mark-up and As-Built documentation
    • Knowledge drawings mark-up and As-Built documentation
    • Skilled in use of ETAP for Power System Studies (Including but not limited to Short circuit/load flow, Fault level, Motor Starting etc).
    • Knowledge of Bonga FPSO would be an added advantage.
    • Skilled use of drawing tools for Electrical drawings
    • Skilled use of MS Office suite
    • A good understanding of Industry, DEPs and Shell Design Standards.
    • Proven ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team as well and to work independently with minimum supervision.
    • Must have knowledge/skill level in HSSE and applications within the Oil and gas Industry.
