    Job Summary:

    Job Description:

    • Install and maintain plumbing systems and components in accordance with building codes and regulations.
    • Collaborate with construction and engineering teams to plan plumbing installations and ensure proper execution.
    • Interpret blueprints and technical drawings to identify plumbing requirements.
    • Inspect plumbing systems, identify issues, and perform necessary repairs or replacements.

    Requirements

    Education and Work Experience

    • SSCE, Trade Test Certificate and completed apprenticeship.
    • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a plumber.

    • Strong critical thinking and troubleshooting skills.
    • Extensive knowledge of plumbing systems and components.

    Accounts Officer

    Job Summary

    Okpella Cement Limited is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Accounts Officer to join our Finance team. In this role, you will be responsible for administering accounting operations to meet legal requirements. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance and accounting, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

    Key Duties and Responsibilities

    • Review CAPEX purchase requisitions and ensure accurate upload of all fixed assets in the fixed asset register.
    • Calculate and record depreciation for all fixed assets in accordance with IFRS and DCP’s depreciation policies.
    • Review, interpret and apply fixed assets policies to fixed asset transactions at the plant including purchase, valuation, revaluation, accruals and disposal.
    • Reconcile the fixed asset sub-ledger to the general ledger on a periodic basis.
    • Review supplier invoices and supporting documents against invoice processing checklist in order to establish completeness and validity of details.
    • Generate variance analysis of planned vs. actual activity rates and standard prices on a monthly basis and investigate variances.
    • Match supplier invoices to purchase orders prior to processing to ensure consistency and identify errors/discrepancies/irregularities
    • Allocate costs for central or joint expenditure to relevant cost centers in line with DCP’s cost allocation policies
    • Ensure timely submission, accuracy and validity of inventory, gross margin schedules to the Team Lead, Management Accounting.
    • Ensure all new assets are properly labelled and set up in the fixed asset register and individual asset account.
    • Participate in month-end financial closing procedures
    • Prepare the year-end fixed asset/depreciation schedules for annual audit/review.
    • Perform any other duties as may be assigned by Plant Financial Controller.

    Requirements

    Educational and Work Experience

    • B.Sc. or HND in Finance/ Accounting
    • Professional certification in Accounting (ACA, ACCA) is an added advantage
    • 3 - 9 years relevant work experience in Accounting or Finance function.

    Skills and Competencies

    • Good knowledge and understanding of finance best practices, IFRS and other applicable accounting standards.
    • Basic knowledge of accounting packages and systems, preferably SAP.
    • Good organisational skills.
    • Good data gathering, analysis and problem solving skills
    • High ethical standards and integrity.
    • Proficiency in the use of MS Office tools.
    • Good communication and interpersonal skills.

    The CNG Station Assistant plays a critical role in ensuring the accurate, safe, and efficient refueling of Dantrans company trucks at third-party CNG (Compressed Natural Gas) stations. This position involves actively monitoring the fuel dispensing process, maintaining accurate records, and assisting drivers during refueling operations.

    Job Description

    • Ensure timely, accurate CNG fueling of all company trucks (Dantrans), preventing overfilling, underfilling, and fuel waste.
    • Manage truck movement and queuing to minimize wait times, reduce downtime, and support operational efficiency.
    • Supervise and verify the CNG filling process, cross-check meter readings, and ensure correct gas quantities are dispensed.
    • Maintain detailed and accurate records of fuel dispensed, meter readings, and collect supporting documentation.
    • Address fueling-related issues promptly, assist drivers during refueling, and report any anomalies discrepancies.
    • Enforce safety protocols during the fueling process, report hazards/incidents, and ensure compliance with environmental and regulatory standards.
    • Monitor fuel usage for discrepancies or inefficiencies and help detect potential fraud that may impact operational costs.
    • Liaise with CNG station staff and coordinate with the operations team for scheduling and smooth fueling operations.
    • Provide real-time data for operational analysis and support informed decision-making through accurate reporting.

    Requirements

    Education and Work Experience

    • Ordinary National Diploma (OND) or equivalent.
    • Minimum 2 years work experience.
    • Basic understanding of CNG systems and safety protocols.
    • Prior experience in a logistics or fueling environment is an advantage.
