    Planning Engineer: Non-Routine Maintenance

    Job Description

    • This is a contract, on-site role for a Planning Engineer based in Bonny. The Planning Engineer will be responsible for developing and maintaining project schedules, overseeing production planning processes, monitoring timelines, and ensuring seamless coordination. The role involves analyzing project data, preparing detailed progress reports, and implementing project control measures to ensure successful project delivery within set parameters. Collaboration and communication with various teams will be key to the position.

    Main Responsibilities:

    • Ensure that HSE considerations are included in all work plans for non-routine maintenance campaigns and projects
    • Detailed planning and scheduling of non-routine maintenance projects and campaigns
    • Monitoring and tracking project progress
    • Develop and publish periodic project status report
    • Assist the project Engineer in coordination of project field activities
    • Monitor maintenance backlog for non-routine maintenance function and ensure backlog is always within acceptable limits
    • Update the integrated activity planning and scheduling (IAPS) plans for the various planning horizons within the non-routine maintenance function
    • Prepare and issue weekly integrated schedule (IS) KPI reports
    • Prepare and issue monthly IAPS short term (ST) KPI reports
    • Support the project Engineer in front end material, resources, and cost planning
    • Ensure adequate stakeholder engagement during front end project planning phase
    • Turnaround planning and scheduling of non-routine maintenance scope items
    • Ability to interface with other units (Asset) to ensure PMN plans are aligned to business planning.

    Basic Requirements

    • BEng. /HND in Engineering plus a minimum of 7 years' experience in oil and gas installations
    • Able to use key planning tools like Primavera and ERP systems.
    • Experience in development and production of work scope and cost estimating.
    • Extensive working knowledge of all relevant engineering standards and codes of practice relevant to work with company.

    Qualifications

    • Strong expertise in Planning and Production Planning
    • Advanced Analytical Skills and Project Control expertise
    • Excellent Communication skills for effective team collaboration and reporting
    • Proficiency in project management tools or scheduling software
    • Bachelor's degree in engineering, Project Management, or a related field
    • Relevant industry experience, especially in Oil, Gas, or Renewable Energy sectors, is an advantage
    • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

    Lifting & Rigging Work Planner

    Job Purpose / Objective

    • To improve work force productivity and work quality by anticipating and eliminating potential delays through  planning and coordination of labor, parts and material, and equipment access.

    Basic functions & Principal Responsibilities: 

    • Perform Long-range planning: regular analysis of backlog relative to available resources. 
    • Perform Short-range planning: Screen all work orders except emergency notifications, in assigned  area of responsibility to see that the work order accurately defines the scope of work, meets the 
    • criteria for the assigned priority, and is a valid request for work to be performed by maintenance  personnel and financed by the applicable expense budget.
    • Plan work initiated through various stakeholders, ensuring that the required resources are available  and work is carried out in line with Asset Maintenance Plans, asset criticalities and Service Level 
    • Agreements (where applicable).
    • Review and Schedule all PM (Preventive Maintenance) activities.
    • Prepare work packages for every planned maintenance activity while considering HSSE, cost and  time.
    • Maintain a library of norms for all work packages used during work execution.
    • Record critical information from feedback form for the future following execution of the work, 
    • reference including correction of any parts related data, identification of the failure code for the work  involved, update any reusable job plans as needed, capture of any data specific to the job and  included in the PACER record.
    • Support the IAPS focal person to develops functional Integrated Activity Plan/Schedule (IAPS) under  AMS.
    • Review the shutdown approved Scope list from NLNG Turnaround that may impact resource  allocation for routine maintenance work orders in PMS. 
    • Perform field visits to verify work is executed as planned

    Job requirements

    Education:

    • A HND National Diploma/ bachelor’s degree in mechanical or civil engineering Discipline plus 
    • Computer Literacy.

    Experience:

    • A minimum of 3 years working experience as a Planner with an Engineering, Maintenance or Project management team in the Oil & Gas industry.
    • Must be CISRS certified

    Lifting & Rigging Engineer

    Basic Responsibility 

    • Demonstrate a high level of safety awareness to ensure all subcontractors are aware of lifting standards; to proactively support the contractor whoever needs to improve and maintain HSE performance.
    • As required by the business, MUST have the competency to generate lifting plans that has comprehensive engineering analysis, design consideration and requisite loading and crane schematics in line with best practice.
    • Carry out review of all Simple, Complicated, Critical, Tandem and Complex lifting plan prior to submittal to Client Technical Authority (TA) for approval as per the company policies and procedures.
    • Support delivering in-house training when the need arises. This may take the form of formal or informal courses delivered by HR
    • Facilitate the review and assess competency of the lifting and rigging teams involved in the shutdown activities to ensure availability, adequacy, and validity of the required level of expertise to perform the assigned tasks including training and qualifications
    • Coordinate and manage in accordance with assigned Roles and Responsibilities as per Company policies and procedures
    • Ascertains that equipment is operable and performed according to standard safety norms and to resolve any unexpected technical difficulties /challenges & other problems that may arise during execution time.
    • Support field personnel (supervisors, riggers) in the analysis and assessment of risk related activities and provide required technical expertise as and when necessary.
    • Support and Monitor (as required), in bridging the competence gaps of Contractor parties involved in the rigging & lifting process.
    • Carry out oversight function of the rigging and lifting Loft. including facilitation of inspection and certification rigging & lifting gears and compliance with statutory regulations.

    JOB REQUIREMENT:

    Education

    • BSc/BE/B.Tech. / HND in Mechanical or Civil Engineering with extensive rigging, loading and structural analysis experience.
    • Professional Qualification: IADC / LOLER/ OPITO/ LEEA (Appointed Person for lifting Operations); AutoCad proficiency (Mandatory)

    Experience

    • Minimum of 5-10years' work experience as Heavy Lifting Engineer, 7 years minimum within the Oil and Gas industry for maintenance and/or construction operation. He or she must have good interpersonal skills, be self-sufficient and adaptable, confident in site work situations and can work under pressure

    Mechanical Craftsman

     JOB OBJECTIVE 

    • To provide efficient and effective Technical Mechanical Maintenance Support Services for the company's Utilities / facilities at the HO in Port Harcourt 
    • To execute daily Mechanical preventative maintenance work routines (PMR’s) and corrective maintenance work on a priority basis to the facilities as directed by Supervision, to meet work programs, safety requirements and quality standards. 
    • To carryout Pre-Mob of Vehicle prior to accessing the company facilities

     BASIC FUNCTIONS & PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:  

    • Strictly adheres to the Permit to Work system and carries out work fully complying with safety precautions and requirements as detailed and directed.  
    • Executes routine and preventive maintenance activities on Power Generators and other associated mechanical engines / equipment at the HO.  
    • Uses technical expertise and proven competence to effectively achieve work plan objectives especially in Vehicle Pre-Mob.  
    • Removes and installs plant equipment, operates machine tools and other equipment as required by the repair process, such as, generators, lifting pumps, fan motors, etc.  
    • Completes his work in accordance with Engineering Quality system requirements, by following procedures and work instructions in the discharge and dispensing of hydrocarbons at the Base 
    • Assists in ensuring proper and timely implementation of simple changes on Mechanical equipment as may be applicable. 
    • Assists in ensuring the availability of spare parts for Mechanical systems. 
    • Execute minor mechanical repair works not covered by any contract at the HO. 

    JOB REQUIREMENTS Education 

    • City & Guild's level 3 / Trade Tests / OND Mechanical 

     Experience 

    • 5 years working experience with 3years experience in building and facilities maintenance preferably in Oil & Gas

    Carpenter Craftsman

    JOB OBJECTIVE 

    • To provide efficient and effective Carpentry maintenance services of NLNG buildings and facilities at the HO and GTS 

    BASIC FUNCTIONS & PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:  

    • Ensure the maintenance of furniture, other wooden and roofing materials in buildings and facilities in all the locations to ensure the facilities are always in a prime condition. 
    • Ensure compliance with company HSE policies and regulations. 
    • Assist in assessing the competence of contractor personnel to ensure their suitability for carpentry related jobs. 
    • Initiate procurement of tools, equipment, and materials for the execution of maintenance works. 
    • Execute minor projects at the HO and GTS to improve the infrastructure and enhance aesthetics. 

     KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATOR 

    • Maintenance of furniture, other wooden and roofing to company standards. 
    • 95% response to all maintenance calls within 24hrs. 
    • 75% completion of maintenance requests and minor repairs in all locations within an agreed timeframe. 
    • Maintain zero fatality/LTI. 

     JOB REQUIREMENTS

     Education 

    • CITY & GUIDS Level 3 / Trade Tests/ OND in the relevant Civil Technology 

     Experience 

    • 5 years working experience with 3years experience in building and facilities maintenance preferably in Oil & Gas
