    Pharmacy Storekeeper

    Responsibilities

    • Supervising material orders and dispatching to ensure rational use.
    • Receiving orders and deliveries, identifying potential disparities against cargo manifest or others and reporting them, and stores materials in accordance with the system in force, to ensure continuous availability. It includes:
    • Ensuring good storage conditions of all medical items in the pharmacy in accordance with pharmaceutical standards to ensure continuous availability.
    • Ensuring correct fill in entries on the stock cards and software.
    • Carrying out or participating in regular inventories including EPREP stock.
    • Following up stock levels with regards to alarms thresholds, stock out, expiry dates and drugs to expire in the following 6 months.
    • Preparing orders of the different consumption units (departments, wards, others), ensuring proper packaging and dispatching and reporting any anomalies or changes in consumption patterns to the Pharmacy Supervisor. Informing the Pharmacy Supervisor as soon as stock reaches the alert limit.
    • Controlling warehouse facilities to ensure materials are kept in good keeping conditions, it includes e.g. Monitoring temperature in the warehouse and ensuring that products requiring cold chain are suitably stored and transports received, stored, and prepared and transported appropriately according to MSF Supply and Cold Chain protocols.
    • Ensuring cleanliness of premises (stock pharmacy) and in close collaboration with the logistics department, maintain refrigerating equipment.
    • Controlling warehouse limits access to authorized personnel and ensuring doors and other exits are secured. Immediately informing the line manager of any problems arising in the course of work, particularly with regards to damage, loss, attempted break-ins or theft in the warehouse.
    • Ensuring that items to be quarantined (on-going quality alerts) or to be placed in quarantine zone (batch recalls, expired or damaged items) are removed from the stock and safely locked.
    • Following up stock levels with regards to alarms thresholds, stock out, expiry dates and drugs to expire in the following 6 months. Preparing reports and passing it to the supervisor
    • Support pharmacy supervisor in the management and supervision of daily workers
    • Monitor temperature and ensure suitable storage of all pharmaceutical items, including cold chain management, according to MSF protocols and specifications all along the distribution chain: reception, organization, delivery & (or) donations.
    • Under the supervision of the Pharmacy supervisor, handle controlled & expired drugs. Escalate immediately in case of any cold chain rupture during the distribution chain. Participating in physical inventories
    • Provide information on all stock movements for the week for entry into Isystock
    • Follow and ensure schedules for inventory & replacement of expat house medicine cupboard, first aid kits & Emergency box(es). Ensure proper identification and arrangement of the stocks according to projects
    • Ensure proper separation and identification of the special stocks (quarantined items, expired items, and on hold items)
    • Ensure and participate in stock and premises cleanliness o Prepare for / participate in each cargo reception, order packaging, relevant documentation. Ensure FEFO for all pharmaceutical items. Complete stock cards of all in / out movements. Ensure Pharmacy access is only for authorized personnel. Report any disappearances or other security incidents
    • Performing any other task, specific to his/her area of specialty, as defined in his/her job description and according to the line manager.

    Transport and Customs Supervisor

    Accountabiltiies / Responsibilties (non-exhaustive list)

    • Organize and follow up all customs clearance processes for air, sea, and road shipments
    • Act as focal point with clearing and forwarding agents to ensure timely release of goods
    • Liaise with Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Health, and other relevant authorities for duty exemptions and import licenses.
    • Ensure registration and submission on the Single Window Trade Portal.
    • Prepare and follow up Import Duty Exemption Certificates (IDEC), SONCAP, and End User Certificates (EUC).
    • Ensure compliance with Nigerian customs regulations and MSF procedures.
    • Plan and coordinate international and local transport according to cargo priority and operational needs.
    • Receive international cargo and organize local shipments in collaboration with logistics and medical teams.
    • Monitor and track shipments and resolve clearance or transport issues.
    • Conduct transport market assessments and support tendering and contracting processes
    • Prepare transport contracts and manage cargo bookings, including MSF flights.
    • Maintain effective working relationships with customs authorities, government counterparts, transporters, and suppliers.
    • Identify and maintain backup clearing and transport companies
    • Provide accurate customs and transport data for monthly reporting
    • Contribute to cost analysis and budget follow‑up (ARO, freight and customs costs)
    • Identify legal opportunities for efficiency and cost savings
    • Supervise staff and daily workers under responsibility
    • Organize work schedules and ensure quality of work,

    Required Skills and Competencies

    • Education: Essential Technical Diploma, in Supply Chain or Transport.
    • Experience: At least 2 to 3 years in Supply department and experience in the importation process of Nigeria is essential.
    • Language: English
    • Computer Literacy: Computer proficiency (Word, Excel, Internet, etc)
    • Competencies: Result Orientation, Stress Management, Behavioral Flexibility and commitment to MSF Principles, Teamwork, and Cooperation
