Purpose / Role
Responsible to the Rigging Superintendent for the leadership and organization of the rigging and moving loads function on the site/installation to fully execute the requirements of the rigging and moving loads support service safely and effectively Key aims and objectives.
Prime Responsibilities and duties
- Accountable for promoting Safety.
- Plan & control work activities ensuring that a safe system of work is in place and followed during all lifting operations
- Implement all applicable company / project policies, working practices and procedures, ensuring at all times that the rigging work scope is completed efficiently, in compliance with LOLER and to a high standard of safety.
- Review and approve all lift plans developed by the site/installation rigging and moving loads function .
- Complete all work scopes in accordance with applicable workpack / jobcard instructions, associated procedures and drawings / sketches.
- Ensure job cards are completed and accurate progress reported
- Ensure time writing for the rigging and moving loads function is accurate and completed on time.
The Person
- 5-8 years’ experience in rigging in Oil & Gas / Fabrication environment.
- Previous Offshore Rigger experience is essential
- Level 3 Rigging Assessment or equivalent certification is preferred.
- Good level of verbal and written communication in English.

Purpose
- The scaffolding foreman is a working foreman
- Make sure the JSA,S and toolbox talks have been done correctly and are in place
- Make sure the scaffolders are working safely and to the right standards and procedures

- Lead scaffold team to erect dismantle modify all types of scaffolding

- Make sure the work face is kept clean and tidy
- Look with supervisor where scaffold needs erecting decide what materials will be needed arrange for forklift to bring materials from scaffold yard

- Make sure all his team are wearing the correct ppe

Prime Responsibilities and Duties
· Knowledge of trade terminology (i.e. lifting equipment, lifting accessories, slings, shackles, wires, ropes, chains, cables, nets etc.).
· The incumbent will make sure that gears for a lifting is conveyed to work site; and reporting of any defective rigging gear to Supervisor.
· Knowledge of types and layout of drawings such as structural, layout, plant, equipment detail drawings etc.
· Knowledge of abbreviations and drafting symbols such as lines, piping and fitting symbols, and control symbols commonly used.
· Have the ability to recognize types of lifting equipment (i.e. wire rope hoists, beam clamps, beam trolleys, plate clamps, sheave blocks, winches etc.).
· Have the ability to recognize types of lifting accessories (i.e. slings, shackles, wires, ropes, chains, cables, nets etc.).
· Have knowledge and ability to determine if lifting equipment and lifting accessories are safe to use.
· Have the ability to read and interpret, prepare and sign safety documents (i.e. PTW, Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment (HIRA), Lifting Risk Assessment (TRA) etc.).
· Have the ability to store and assemble lifting equipment and lifting accessories in a safe location
· Ability to report effectively to his superior/higher authority of any case of defective gears.

The Person
· Relevant trade test(s) and SSCE. Higher qualifications are added advantages.
· Must possess a Rigging Certificate from a certified professional body.
· Working experience on an EPC project will be an additional advantage
· 7 years’ experience in major Oil & Gas EPC projects must possess vast Knowledge in the fabrication industry.
· Safety certificate (general) and other safety certification will be an added advantage.
· Responsible for the execution and application of the HSE procedures within his work area.
· Should have good communication skills and report writing abilities.
· Should have vase experience in fitting with good supervisory qualities

Purpose
To be a team player in the corrosion protection treatment process of Fabricated Structural Steel Structures and Associated items.

- To apply your work skills in a manner which enables the Coating Department to deliver defect free product, which conforms to customer supplied specifications and Project working procedures.
- To assist the department in achieving this objective at the first attempt, within the time allowed and at each subsequent attempt.

- The following will be expected of you while you are in the employ of Nigerdock PLC FZE
- To take responsibility for the satisfactory execution of all work instructions issued to the workers in your team.
- To issue these instructions clearly and to ensure they are well understood.
- To ensure all work is executed according to the requirements of project and/or Nigerdock supplied working instructions.
- To ensure that you have read and fully understand the contents of the relevant working procedures, enabling you to ensure the desired level of quality is attained .
- To ensure that you and the workers under you wear the correct level of PPE and that they work in a safe environment, utilizing correctly maintained equipment and tools.
- To pre- plan your teams work and assist the individuals in planning the execution of their instructed tasks.
- To ensure that your workers carry out tasks in an efficient manner, with all necessary consumables on hand.
- To work with your team and to be able to delegate tasks with authority and in a clear manner.
- To report all faulty equipment and take the necessary action in either fixing it or making sure that the item gets replaced if it is not repairable.
- To follow up on the progress and completion of tasks delegated to members of your team.
- You will always assume full responsibility for all work under your control.
- To ensure and if necessary teach your team to work as a competent unit, always taking into account the safety of others working adjacent to your work area.
- To ensure that each individual executes work tasks in accordance with the requirements of the stipulated working procedure.
- To always ensure a JSA has been conducted for the proposed work and that all actions stated ate obeyed.
- To always conduct a job specific toolbox talk with your team, identifying the work hazards prior to entering the work area.
- To set an example to those working below you.
Other Duties
When not performing your primary function as a Foreman, you are expected to take part in any other activities associated with the functioning of the department.
