    Oncology Consultant

    The position

    • We are seeking a Passionate and highly experienced Oncology Consultant to support a digital health initiative leveraging AI focused on improving health literacy, self-efficacy, treatment adherence, and referral efficiency for those individuals at greatest risk of or living with cancer, particularly focusing on a cohort of women.
    • This project leverages digital platforms, including a virtual health chatbot, to deliver personalized health education, support lifestyle modifications such as nutrition, fitness, and emotional wellness and motivate the member to attain a level of both confidence, healthier outlook on life and engage in healthier and preventative habits.
    • The Oncology Consultant will play a key role in shaping the educational and behavioral motivational components of the project. They will (working with the mDoc Clinical/Coaching Team), lead the development of evidence-based content, design quality assessment tools, and support the integration of AI-enabled and digital health solutions to enhance patient engagement and outcomes.
    • While this is project-based, the consultant should have a whole-centred product and business lens, recognizing this work should drive the success of the entire clinical and coaching AI-enabled approach.
    • The consultant will collaborate closely in a cross-functional manner with multidisciplinary teams, that includes technology/digital health experts, product managers, machine learning engineers, content creators, communications experts, and healthcare professionals, to ensure high end-to-end quality and impactful interventions.

    Key Responsibilities

    Health Literacy & Content Development:

    • Develop a new oncology clinical and coaching educational curriculum with training and strategy sessions centred on mDoc’s core values and guiding principles.
    • This should be macro and micro based on agreed upon oncology therapeutic areas e.g. breast vs cervical vs colon vs prostate and functionalities e.g. Screening ->prevention-> treatment-> rehabilitation/palliation
    • Develop and review curriculum/modules for educational training and refresher purposes, ensuring content is evidence-based, patient-centered, and accessible on several platforms.
    • Provide expert guidance on the creation of infographics, chatbot scripts and Public Service
    • Announcements to enhance cancer awareness and self-efficacy.
    • Ensure that all educational materials align with best practices in current standards for oncology care and patient engagement.
    • Conduct training sessions of human coaches to solidify medical foundation/knowledgebase and enhance seamless coaching in collaboration with mDoc’s
    • chatbot - Kem.

    Product Development:

    • Work closely with the product manager and broader ML teams to refine the oncology
    • program and testing features with user-centred design principles.
    • Harness the “MLnicial” methodology to drive strategic refinements and improvements to our approach.
    • Provide input on geocoding for NaviHealth.ai™ to augment referrals for screening, treatment etc.

    Assessment & Evaluation:

    • Design pre- and post-surveys of members to assess confidence levels in educational and
    • preventative care objectives, determine self-efficacy, and track behavioral changes in participants.
    • Support data interpretation, validation and provide insights to refine program interventions.

    Lifestyle & Behavioral Interventions:

    • Lead the team to develop comprehensive health content, personalized recommendations on nutrition, fitness, and emotional wellness tailored to individuals at risk of or living with cancer.
    • Ensure that lifestyle modification strategies are culturally relevant, evidence - based, and actionable for diverse populations.
    • Digital Health & Referral Support:
    • Provide guidance on optimizing work streams of digital platforms (e.g., chatbots) to facilitate risk assessment, symptom tracking, and treatment adherence.
    • Support the development of an efficient referral system, ensuring seamless connections tooncology specialists and in network healthcare providers.

     Project Support & Collaboration:

    • Engage in multi-level collaborative efforts with internal and external stakeholders, including healthcare providers, patient advocacy groups, digital health teams and mDoc’s scientific advisory committee.
    • Offer strategic insights to promote the project’s scalability and impact.

    Qualifications & Experience

    • MD or MBBS with specialization in Medical Oncology, Hematology-Oncology, or Radiation Oncology.
    • Certification: Board certification in Oncology or equivalent accreditation.
    • Advanced degree ( MPH, or equivalent) in Public Health, Digital Health, or a related field.
    • Minimum 7-10 years of experience in oncology with strength in patient education, population health and or digital health projects.
    • Track record of publications of high-quality research articles in peer-reviewed medical and oncology journals.
    • Expertise in cancer prevention, treatment adherence, and patient self-efficacy strategies.
    • Proven experience developing health education materials and teaching junior trainees.
    • Strong understanding of behavioral change models and lifestyle modification strategies (nutrition, physical activity, emotional well-being).
    • Experience with AI or digital health tools is a plus.
    • Strong analytical skills, with experience designing pre- and post-intervention assessments.

    Project Manager (Health Tech)

    The position:

    • In this position, you will be a part of the team cohort providing direct (virtual and in-person) self-management support services to different cohorts of members. Along with the mDoc leadership team, you will cultivate an environment reflecting the values of mDoc Healthcare, including respect for our members and team members. Providing optimal member-centred care and experience is of critical importance to mDoc so we are looking for people who embody this in mind and action. You must be data-driven or willing to be data-driven.
    • Given we are a technology firm; you will use digital tools to work plan, manage projects track, predict our success as well as manage our members and customers. Also, given mDoc is a startup, there will likely be some fluidity to responsibilities.

    The Project Manager will:

    • Assist in implementation of project activities in accordance with the work plan and work with external and internal stakeholders to ensure successful achievement of the KPIs.
    • Use Jira and other technology tools to proactively manage the team’s complex plans
    • Lead the daily huddles with the clinical and management team
    • Prepare administrative documents, collect and compile inputs to documents
    • Collect, compile, and organise background materials, documents and other materials for meetings
    • Performs reporting as needed; compiles data, and generates reports and decks as needed
    • Create monthly plans for virtual training needs and plan for resource
    • Initiates meetings with stakeholders and team, prepares communication to summarize discussions and action items in meetings - internal and client meetings.
    • Manage logistics with external partners and stakeholders for tele-education programs and other efforts.
    • Document meeting discussions and decisions into meeting minutes and follow up on post-meeting action items as designated during project meetings.
    • Conduct reviews of projects for action items and recommend solutions.
    • Provide general assistance to the program and project team(s) as needed.
    • Distribute communications related to program and project plan activities.
    • Schedule meetings for program and project plan activities.
    • Compile and publish weekly project status reports for leadership and project sponsors, project teams and other key project stakeholders. Travels as needed to oversee the project and meet with external and internal stakeholders.
    • Collaborate and problem solve cross-functionally.

    Requirements

    • MBA or MPH with 5-10 years experience.
    • Interest or experience in health preferred.
    • Excellent problem solving, communication and "person-centered" skills
    • High level of organizational management capability and prioritization as well as the ability to break the ‘big picture’ into step wise different pieces.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
    • Ability to establish and maintain effective and healthy working relationships with co-workers, managers and clients
    • Ability to perform several tasks simultaneously to meet deadlines is necessary
    • Demonstrates ability to work with confidential and sensitive data.

    Marketing Specialist

    The position:

    • Creating editorial and content creation calendars for various media platforms and outlets
    • Assisting with the design, negotiation and placement of billboards, traditional media ads on TV and radio, social media ads and email blasts
    • Producing a brand style guide that best captures our voice and mission
    • Helping team leads set, allocate and monitor the budget of each marketing and comms project
    • Meeting with team leads to discuss brand guidelines, goals, budget and timelines
    • Conducting market research to determine our target audience’s needs, wants, habits, interests and other relevant factors used in creating targeted marketing campaigns

    Clinical Hub Ambassador - Registered Nurse or CHEW

    The position:

    • In this position, you will be a part of the team cohort providing direct (virtual and in person) self-management support services to members via our innovative self-management model.
    • You will be expected to follow evidence-based guidelines for care while contextualizing to the needs of the members.
    • The Hub Ambassador will work in person 6 days a week including Saturdays (half day) and will be responsible for members/ individuals and will work in collaboration with other members of a virtual team to help them meet their wellness and health needs. The hub ambassadors work with individuals and navigate them through their care journey at our NudgeHubs while encouraging them to take a lead role in their wellness by providing them with tools and support to make the right kinds of lifestyle modifications.
    • Along with the mDoc leadership team, you will cultivate an environment reflecting the values of mDoc Healthcare, including respect for our members and team members.
    • Providing optimal member-centered care and experience is of critical importance to mDoc so we arelooking for people who embody this in mind and action.

    Key Responsibilities

    Hub Management:

    • Oversee daily operations of the health hub, ensuring a welcoming and efficient environment. Drive subscription uptake by members.
    • Coordinate health education sessions, screenings, and other health-related activities.
    • Ensure the hub is stocked with necessary supplies and educational materials.

    Community Engagement:

    • Build and maintain strong relationships with community members, local leaders, and other stakeholders.
    • Conduct outreach activities to promote hub services and health education programs.
    • Collect and address feedback from community members to improve service delivery.

    Healthcare Delivery:

    • Provide primary healthcare services, including health assessments, basic treatments, and referrals.
    • Educate community members on self-care practices, disease prevention, and healthy lifestyles.
    • Assist in the implementation of telehealth services and digital health tools.

    Requirements:

    • Registered Nurse or Community Health Extension Workers (CHEW) required
    • Nursing/midwifery, psychology, counseling, health education, exercise science, nutrition and dietetics, etc. preferred but not required
    • Minimum 3 years of experience working as a registered nurse or CHEW in health promotion, chronic illness management preferred.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Ability to actively support, communicate, and teach the unique culture and values of mDoc
    • Technology savvy and enthusiastic adopter of work and personal tools. Must be comfortable with
    • assisting others in using technology
    • Passion for improving health care experience, outcomes and costs
    • Interest in reviewing and responding to patient and population health data
    • Fluency in English required.
