    • This job contributes to FrieslandCampina’s success by ensuring the high level of competence within the Customer Supply Chain Organisations.. The warehouse within FrieslandCampina oversees all the movements of raw materials and finished goods from the moment these goods enter the warehouses of the company up until the moment they are shipped away to the customer or have safely arrived at a customer storage facility.

    Description

    • Define and execute the warehousing strategy for OPCO Nigeria.
    • Lead the warehouse strategic plans and provide input to the Customer SC Strategy for OPCO Nigeria.
    • Draw up warehousing including Logistic Service Provider (LSP) strategy for the OPCO, including budgets in line with the strategy of the
    • Oversees proper functioning of warehousing operations, in line with the OPCO’s strategy and year plans, in order to ensure timely delivery of products to customers.
    • Responsible for the performance (quality, safety, finance, etc.) of both owned warehouses and the third-party logistics providers, as well as for issues related to food safety, to ensure quality and cost-efficient warehousing and transport of the agreed products and the timely delivery of the products.
    • Implement Life-Saving Rules, define warehousing safety policy standards (with respect to global standards), implement and maintain warehousing safety policy standards. Provide effective two-way communication and ensure the location is compliant with safety legislation and regulations.
    • Minimize waste, and make efficient use of materials, maintenance, transport, and labor. Provide accountability for waste management and internal transportation. Maximize the net storage capacity of available storage locations.
    • Implement adequate process control. Organize processes via e.g. 5S, visual management, etc. Align processes with rules & regulations. Organize appropriate administration of processes and supply required information for management reporting.
    • Ensure warehousing location is compliant with quality and food safety legislation and regulation, standard operating procedures are in place, and reporting staff is provided with adequate hygiene knowledge and awareness.
    • Provide accountability for on-time full delivery to customers.
    • Set up an effective organizational structure. Ensure all employees within the organization are trained and progress is correctly administered.
    • Set up a yearly budget for warehousing location, control budget, and take corrective and preventive actions on the budget if required
    • Provide accountability for storage, status management, picking, value-added services, monitoring of transport, and incident management for finished goods (for finished goods to move within own Fighting Unit, to other Fighting Units, or to other Business Groups)
    • Provide accountability for the creation of transport planning and the corresponding determination of time slots
    • Provide consultation to the Procurement department and Customer SC lead in tender evaluation and contracting tender.
    • Provide data for corresponding Key Performance Indicator dashboards, together with relevant insights and decision documents at the request or own initiative regarding quantitative and qualitative developments by means of periodical (S&OP, budget, RF, and LRP) and ad hoc reports and/or analyses, based on reporting guidelines.
    • Provide accountability for local reporting of defined warehousing key performance indicators to BG /corporate, also reporting into community of practice.
    • Provide operational support to warehousing logistics service providers: Support in defining required technical way of working logistic service providers and training of employees required to implement defined way of working.
    • Be the owner of KPI dashboards, insights, and decision documents regarding quantitative and qualitative developments by means of periodical (e.g. S&OP, budget, RF, and LRP) and ad hoc reports and/or analyses, based on reporting guidelines to drive PDCA cycle in your area of expertise

    Supply Planning lead

    • Responsible for the optimal supply network plan for the assigned part of the FrieslandCampina & third party supply network (operational and tactical horizon) based on the consolidated OpCo demand plans, taking into consideration predefined service level agreements, planning parameters, inventory levels, strategic importance, revenues, margins and costs in order to realize the requested performance at the lowest possible cost.

    What We Ask

    • Master degree, preferably in Supply Chain Management
    • APICS (or equivalent) certification in case Master degree is not in Supply Chain Management
    • S&OP experience, preferably of Gartner maturity level 3 or 4
    • Demand and Supply planning experience
    • Experience in working in multi-functional groups and matrix organization
    • Project management experience, also in industrial setting
    • Program and project management (in cross-organizational context)
    • Basic knowledge of Financial Management
    • Fluently in English, written and spoken
    • Knowledge of Supply Chain within the FMCG

    Description

    • Contribute pro-actively to the CSC strategic planning process/ provide input to the OpCO Customer SC strategy
    • Develop and ensure execution of the year plan, and S&OP in line with the OpCO/Business Group and Corporate Plan strategy
    • Aligned with other Customer SCs, BG, Enterprise S&OP, and third-party suppliers, d rive the execution of the S&OP process (operational and tactical horizon), organize/input into all meetings according to the FrieslandCampina standards, support and facilitate the financial forecasting process.
    • Participate, prepare, facilitate and lead assigned S&OP meetings according to S&OP standards (e.g. supply review meeting, Demand Supply balancing meeting).
    • Balance demand and supply in the most optimal way in terms of volume, revenues, costs and margin and develop scenarios for decision making.
    • Provide procurement, supply points and deliver functions with production plans in line with service levels, inventory, production and MVA parameters, targets and guidelines.
    • Develop the strategy for the assigned planning department and contribute to the development of the strategy on one level higher
    • Manage service on time in full for the Nigeria market
    • Manage waste performance for the Nigeria market
    • Manage team responsible for preparing and optimizing the operational and tactical planning for the global supply network (internal and external capacity); by balancing demand, inventory, production, and packaging capacity, identifying constraints, risks, and opportunities as input for S&OP and acquire agreement with the assigned supply points on the supply plan (tactical, operational as well as day to day (local execution)
    • Responsible for production planning, (raw) materials planning, intra-supply planning, and support FG planning
    • Manage the team that is responsible for the inventory processes and ensure that inventory covers the projected demand (correct DIO for RM, PM, WIP, FG)
    • Drive Periodic Stock modeling to ensure the inventory base is strong and not prone to shocks
    • Manage and optimize working capital in line with the agreed targets according to the inventory management guidelines, replenish relevant warehouses (in line with targets), follow up on aging stock, and obsoletes and acquire agreement with demand, source, and deliver (day-to-day contact and fixed meeting structure)
    • Be the owner of KPI dashboards, insights, and decision documents regarding quantitative and qualitative developments by means of periodical (e.g. S&OP, budget, Outlook, and LRP) and ad hoc reports and/or analyses, based on reporting guidelines to drive PDCA cycle in your area of expertise
