    Database Administrator

    Job Objective

    • To manage the Bank’s database to ensure optimal uptime and system integrity which delivers support to the business strategy of the Bank that is achieved through Information Technology.
    • The Job Profile indicates that the job holder should be capable of collecting information and imparting it to others. The job occupant whilst being adaptable by nature will need to ensure strict conformity with rules, systems and protocol. The area of work is likely to have some administrative, specialist or technical aspects and the person fulfilling the role should have the persistence to see a job through to conclusion.
    • The incumbent should be dependable, loyal, a good listener and enjoy working in a logical and systematic manner. Standard operating procedures are important aspects of this role and as such, it will require an individual who is organized, structured, self-controlled and capable of communicating facts within the required area of knowledge and expertise.
    • The person fulfilling this role should be consistent in approach, analytical, sensitive, precise and compliant. The environment wherever possible should be free of confrontation and the person occupying the role should be non-aggressive by nature.

    Job Function

    • Ensure 100% availability and effective usability of the database by end users concurrently.
    • Responsible for non-corruption, performance, integrity and the security of the database.
    • Ensure strict compliance to Back-up and recovery procedure to ensure data is available at all times.
    • Deliver adequate support to application development teams on server/storage requirements.
    • Make recommendations and carry out necessary tests when there is need to commission/ install new applications as well as customizing/tuning existing applications in order to make them fit for purpose.

    Educational Qualifications

    • First Degree in Numerate / Physical Science or Engineering.

    Experience:

    • 5+ years cognate experience.
    • Good working knowledge of Windows, Unix and Linux operating systems. Knowledge of Oracle and MS SQL database administration.
    • IBM/AIX Websphere administration.
    • Storage infrastructure administration.

    IT Project Manager

    Job Description
    An exciting opportunity exists for a dynamic and talented IT Project Manager to join a dynamic project team. The resource shall be responsible for:

    • Overseeing and managing the Project Based Services engagements.

    Qualifications

    Network Engineer

    Job Description

    • To coordinate the deployment of network solutions (core network and branches) design and implement industry standard network architecture for the client

    Functions and Responsibilities

    • Provide an appropriate design for the client’s Communication and Networking infrastructure to enable optimal use of the IT Network /Security infrastructure and applications within agreed service standards
    • Support introduction of new applications, including a smooth transition when systems change or are upgraded

    Enterprise / Solution Architect

    Job Description

    • Our client requires the service a highly skilled enterprise architect/solution architect with Fin-Tech experience. The successful candidate will be expected to catalogue, develop, coordinate, communicate, maintain and enforce the overall enterprise architectural models to adequately perform the organizations business.

    Responsibilities

    • Assess overall alignment between business and technology roadmaps.
    • Evaluate solutions alignment with the end user experience.

    Job Summary

    • Our client requires the service of a highly skilled Business Analyst to join a dynamic team. The successful candidate will conduct business analysis for new product releases and new projects. This individual will be involved in requirement analysis, documentation, scope validation, coordination and assessment of requests from stakeholders.

    Job Description
    The business analyst is expected to perform the following tasks:

    • Evaluate business requirements and serve as internal consultant to the business during product and project initiation requiring new or modified applications.
    • Identify and/or audit product proposals, business requirements, existing policies and technologies
    • Articulate various aspects of CLIENT’s business and business drivers to other divisions
    • Monitor business process improvement initiatives especially with regards to product development and continually find ways to streamline PPP’s and align them to international best practice.
    • Elicit requirements using interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, surveys, site visits, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, business analysis, and task and workflow analysis.
    • Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding, and distinguish user requests from the underlying true needs.
    • Proactively communicate and collaborate with external and internal customers to analyse information needs and functional requirements and deliver functional requirements and business requirements documentation.
    • Develop requirements specifications according to standard templates, using natural language.
    • Collaborate with developers and subject matter experts to establish the technical vision and analyse tradeoffs between usability and performance needs.
    • Be the liaison between the business units, technology teams and support teams.

    Requirements
    The Business Analyst is expected to have the following educational qualification and experience:

    • First Degree in Computer Science or related with at least 3 - 5 years work experience
    • Proven experience in solution delivery within a complex environment.
    • Extensive experience in gathering and documenting systems and products requirements for information technology environments.
    • Ability to thoroughly think out and evaluate alternatives, innovative problem resolution, pro-active approach and initiative to resolve problems.
    • Ability to work with little direction and supervision, timely completion of projects, makes time for unplanned assignments, adapts to changing priorities.
    • Strong communication skills with the ability to relate to diverse groups of internal and external clients to include vendors, consultants, designers and developers.
    • Certifications include : ITIL, PMP, PRINCE 2, Professional Scrum Product Owner, Professional Scrum Master, ISO 21500.
