Responsibilities

• Plants, transplants, fertilizes, applies chemicals, waters, prunes and weeds flower beds and plant areas
• Maintain flowers, bushes, trees and shrubs.
• Implements detailed landscape plans.
• Plants and propagates bedding plants.
• Assists in the work direction and on-the-job training of other personnel.
• Keep gardens and green spaces clear of debris and litter.
• Assist in in various maintenance activities as required.
• May operate a motor vehicle to transport materials and equipment as appropriate to the position.
• Ensure proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies.
• Promote continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practise.

Qualification

• O levels or WAEC result.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Gardener.
• Familiarity with landscaping design.
• Extensive knowledge of regional plant life.
• Knowledge of local pests and how to eliminate them.
• Knowledge of synthetic and natural fertilizers.
• Knowledge of state health and safety regulations for landscaping.

Responsibilities 

• Sweep, mop, vacuum and polish floors.
• Dust and clean furniture, fixtures, windows, doors, and other surfaces
• Empty trash bins and dispose of segregated recyclables and hazardous waste properly.
• Clean and sanitize restrooms.
• Refill toiletries such as tissue paper, soap and hand sanitizers.
•  Ensure cleaning tools and equipment are in good working condition and report any damaged/ malfunctioning equipment to supervisor.
• Clean hard-to-reach areas like vents and under furniture.
• Use cleaning chemicals safely and according to instructions.
• Adhere to health & safety guidelines, including proper use of PPE.

Requirements

• A minimum of SSCE qualification.
• Minimum of 2 years working experience as a cleaner.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Presentable appearance and friendly demeanor
• Ability to follow instructions
• Reliability.
• Experience using cleaning products and machinery
