    Project Administrator

    Job Description

    We are looking to employ a smart, vibrant and intuitive candidate to take up an interesting role on our team as a Project Administrator on a contract basis.

    Our choice candidate will be responsible for the following;

    • You will carry out administrative activities for the Project Team, including program schedules, vendor management, time and resource management, and allocation and daily ad-hoc responsibilities.
    • Carry out administrative activities for the assigned VP Project i.e follow up on schedules, vendor management, time and resource management; allocation and daily ad-hoc responsibilities of the project
    • Maintain a standard operating procedure document and data bank for collecting and collating different kinds of data that could improve program planning and overall project
    • Schedule and organize complex meetings and travel arrangements.
    • Handle the requisition and retirement of all project expenses.
    • Provide administrative support for the Project Coordinator, Programs Director, and the Team, (which may include matters of strict confidentiality).
    • Provide administrative and logistics support for program activities such as events and training.
    • Maintaining a tracking system for major scheduled events and activities.
    • Support the Program Manager to manage the program calendar.
    • Provide cover and support for other members of the VPF team where necessary.
    • Communicate persuasively and tactfully with the VPF team and the community, to ensure cooperation and compliance with milestones on the project.

    Skills & Requirements

    Who You are;

    • Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills, with the ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment.
    • Capacity to manage and prioritize a high workload, working to tight deadlines.
    • Proven time management and organizational skills, delivering work with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail with minimal supervision.
    • Demonstrated ability to provide advice and interpretation of policy and procedures associated with program management
    • Intermediate skills in the use of MSWord, Excel and Powerpoint to prepare, proof and edit a range of written material including correspondence and reports.
    • Familiar with Google suite and the Trello software.

    QUALIFICATION

    • At least 1-2yrs administrative experience

    • A bachelor's degree from a recognized university

    Project Coordinator

    Volunteer

    We are launching an exciting program in Maiduguri, Borno and would be needing the help of volunteers to take on sundry roles on the team. Our choice candidates will be charged with supporting the Project Coordinator and team members in Borno by roving across locations of practice, organizing Programs, meetings and engaging with stakeholders at the community and state level.

    They will also support program planning, report, and documentation from field visits, Support program delivery, evaluation and documentation of learning

    Key Responsibilities

    • Provide support in the gathering of information, analysis, and dissemination from primary actors in rural and urban areas on project implementation.
    • Provide support in collecting and reviewing secondary information on projects successes, lessons, and other relevant reports
    • Prepare progress reports on-field activities and update Project Coordinator.
    • Support to facilitate program design, planning, and implementation
    • Support to organize meetings and workshops for the program team
    • Support in note-taking and report writing.
    • Support technical input in proposal development and stakeholders engagement
    • Support to facilitate the dissemination of key successes for program visibility

     Skills & Requirements
    Skills and Knowledge

    Successful candidates must reside in Borno, within the practice area and would have the following skills, knowledge, and experience:

    Essential:

    • A Bachelor's Degree or its equivalent
    • Good level of spoken and written English
    • Ability to communicate in the Native Language spoken in Borno

    Desirable:

    • Experience in project management
    • Previous or current involvement in volunteering work in the community
    • Experience in facilitating meetings and group discussions.
