    MRP Lead and Local Materials Planner

    JOB PURPOSE

    • The MRP lead and local material planner is critical to the delivery of supply chain business commitments which means consistency with service across all Brands down to SKU level.
    • The Material Planner manages Raw and/or Packaging material call-offs to ensure adequate cover for the production plan and manages stocks within working capital targets. Also needs to ensure that both Suppliers and Supplier Management understand material requirements while coordinating and planning the delivery of materials to ensure uninterrupted production and timely delivery of stock.

    WHAT WILL YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES BE

    • Analyze inventory levels and forecast demand to determine material requirements for all production facilities.
    • Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure reliable and timely delivery of materials.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production and procurement, to prioritize material orders based on production schedules and demand forecasts.
    • Monitor inventory levels and implement strategies to minimize stockouts and excess inventory, aligning with Unilever's sustainability goals.
    • Identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements within the supply chain while adhering to Unilever's ethical sourcing guidelines.
    • Generate reports and provide analysis to support decision-making processes and continuous improvement initiatives.
    • Stay updated on industry trends and market conditions to anticipate potential material shortages or price fluctuations.
    • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, Unilever’s policies, and quality standards.

    WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED

    Experiences & Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
    • 2 years of experience in material planning, procurement, or supply chain roles, preferably in a manufacturing or production related environment.
    • Proficiency in inventory management and business-related applications including ERP systems
    • Knowledge of industry best practices, regulatory requirements, and emerging trends in supply chain management.

    CMI Lead, BWPC Africa

    JOB PURPOSE

    WHAT WILL YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES BE

    • Contribute to delivering our mission as the lead business partner to a cross-functional team, reshaping the future of Beauty & Personal Care. This will require you to distil, ideate and provoke highly senior business partners – be that in Marketing, Customer, Strategy, and CD.
    • Support on Category deep dives of opportunity and performance, Market & category development, 6P analysis support and diagnostic deep dives, and setting plus delivering research plans for innovations, will be under your remit.
    • While most of your work will be on division specific projects, you will work with other CMI managers and the Africa CMI Head, to flow to value on key projects as well as support where needed any pan-BG deliverables.
    • You are a BUSINESS leader, and not just a CMI leader. Your responsibility is to the entire B&W and PC business, both informing and deciding actions to drive top and bottom-line growth for the category.

    WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO SUCCEED

    Experiences & Qualifications

    • 5-7+ year CMI experience
    • Experience in CD, marketing and/or finance would be a plus
    • Strong communication and presenting skills
    • Good understanding of retail & channel landscape in the division and in Africa
    • Demonstrable track record of outstanding partnership with business partners and stakeholders, communication, OTIF delivery, strong point of view, identification of growth opportunities
    • BPC category experience, as well as Africa cluster experience, is advantageous but not mandatory

    Skills

    • Think strategically – ability to design, develop and land research with impact
    • Fully operational or leading edge on marketing & research fundamentals (e.g. 6Ps; project management through the funnel; testing guidelines; new methods; deployment tracking).
    • Opportunity spotting skills, with data deep diving abilities
