    Nurse / Midwife

    The Role

    • Reporting to the hospital’s matron in the day-to-day management of patients.
    • The Nurse/Midwife will also take an active role in overseeing and assisting patients in sustaining and maintaining their health and wellbeing. They may participate directly in care when services are initially implemented.

    Responsibilities

    • Implementing nursing care plan for patients at designated work station
    • Assist medical team in patients' diagnosis and treatment
    • Performing procedures such as admission & discharge, taking histories, monitoring vital signs with necessary follow-up, wound dressings, administering medication, IV placement, insertions and providing other assistance as needed
    • Prompt incidence reporting and management of patients' grievances
    • Admission and discharge of patients
    • Maintain complete and accurate documentation of patients' encounters.
    • Maintaining a clean and safe environment always
    • Comply with the use of Standard Operating Procedures and policies

    Qualifications & Requirements

    • Double qualification: RN, RM, or any other specialty with a valid nursing practicing license.

    • Ability to handle stress and crisis situations.

    Medical Records Officer

    Job Summary

    • We are currently seeking to employ a suitably qualified Records Officer, responsible for accurately collecting new patients’ information and uploading on the EMR as well as properly filing hard copy of the information.
    • Maintaining quality and accurate records by following hospital procedures.

    Responsibilities

    • The Records officer is responsible for gathering patient demographic and personal information and imputing same on the EMR.
    • Reviews patients' records for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with regulations.
    • Posting of patients’ file/folder to the appropriate department of care assessment
    • Manages the generation, preservation, and retrieval of medical records whenever they are needed
    • Ensures elaborate and accurate medical records are available at all times.
    • Compiles monthly medical statistical reports for statutory and reporting purposes.
    • Ensuring that all medical records are protected and kept confidential
    • He/she must ensure that every patient that sees the doctor or receives any other treatments is billed appropriately and that the payment is made to the cashier.
    • Ensures that bills sent out are correct and corresponds with the treatment given and received by the patient.
    • Ensures that every HMO patient whose platform is not covered for the required treatment is treated as either a private patient and/or get adequate code from the company before commencement of treatment.
    • Any other duty as may be officially assigned.

    Qualifications

    • Candidate must possess an HND / B.Sc qualification in Medical Records from a recognized institution.
    • HMO Experience is required.
    • Valid practicing license from the relevant body is mandatory.

    Competency and Technical Skill Requirements:

    • Proficiency in MS Office, with exceptional knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint
    • Working knowledge of Google Docs, Excellent customer relationship skills, Computer proficiency
    • Organizational skills

    Dialysis Technician

    Job Summary

    • You will be responsible for all the technical aspects of daily operations at the centre including maintenance and repair of dialysis and related equipment, water treatments systems, mechanical and electrical installations as well as inventory control.

    Responsibilities
    The duties of the Dialysis Technician will include:

    • Assembling the dialysis machine and ensuring its proper performance.
    • Monitoring patients undergoing dialysis treatment.
    • Ensuring the usage of the dialysis machine is safe and secure
    • Talking patients through the dialysis process.
    • Monitoring and adjusting patient fluid removal rates as required.
    • working in tandem with nurses and doctors.
    • Ensuring the sterilization of operating equipment before use.
    • Responding to emergency scenarios.
    • Attending to patient needs.
    • Educating patients on health maintenance and care.
    • Following care protocols as prescribed by the Consultant Family Physician and Consultant Nephrologist

    Requirements

    • Selected individuals should have an OND/HND in a technical field and appropriate biomedical work experience and will demonstrate the ability to engage in continuing education and meticulous documentation of daily performance of machines.
    • Basic computer competency will be required as well as the ability to use electronic technical maintenance and repair manuals and adhere to strict policies and care protocols.
    • Candidate should possess 2 - 5 years' experience working in the same role.
