    Lead Subsea Controls Engineer M/F

    Job description

    • SPIE Services Nigeria Limited is looking for profiles to fill the position of Lead Subsea Controls Engineer

    Service purpose:

    • To assure a fit-for-purpose Subsea Control System; and to ensure that the Control System Deliverables are in AFD Status before the end of the FEED

    Scope includes subsea and topside controls equipment

    • Organize regular meetings with Subsea Control Engineers to ensure FEED engineering progress and close out with the contractor Alliance.
    • Ensure Subsea Controls Engineers have knowledge and familiarity with Egina Subsea Controls Systems.
    • Ensure FEED engineering carried out with full integration and compatibility with existing Egina Subsea Control System.
    • Manage and participate in the review of FEED engineering documentation for the relevant scope of work.
    • Liaise with COMPANY specialists within technical departments to ensure conformance proposed designs with, or for approval to derogate from, COMPANY specifications.
    • Participate in relevant technical workshops, resolution of interface design issues with packages and existing systems on Egina and related qualification activities.
    • Identify and manage risk associated with FEED engineering activities.
    • Participate in relevant technical workshops and in resolution of interface design issues between Preowei subsea technical teams, project packages and Egina field operations.
    • Work closely with other COMPANY team members and contractor Alliance counterparts to ensure correct information is transmitted and fully aligned.
    • Report to SPS Lead on any issue.
    • Report progress of control system engineering activities to SPS Lead.
    • Liaise with the Subsea Controls engineers in the Alliance to ensure that the Preowei Subsea Controls System is fit for purpose, and in line with the Project requirements.

    Profile

    • Education:  Minimum Engineering Bachelor or Equivalent; Post-Graduate Degree an advantage
    • Expertise:  Subsea Controls, FEED Experience, Detailed Engineering, and Offshore Operations experience
    • Technical Experience:  Minimum 10 Years Subsea Control System Experience

    Methods Planning & Assurance Engineer M/F

    Job description

    • SPIE Services Nigeria Limited is looking for profiles to fill the position of Methods Planning & Assurance Engineer. Suitable candidate is expected to conduct the following activities: 

    Assist in core Technical Logistics Operations activities through the following:

    • Coordinate Technical Logistics planning activities in Primavera for: Integrated Operations Planning, 4MLA, 24MLA, Long-Term Plan, etc.
    • Ensures the strategic planning of the department are represented in the planning tools
    • He/She is the compliance officer for Techlog
    • Performs applicable audits on internally and with contractors
    • Share best practices within the Affiliate operations
    • Ensure adequate level of HSE awareness in his/her duties.

    Conduct Planning activities through the following:

    • Provide adequate planning support to the Methods Manager for all Technical Logistics operations
    • Simulate different scenarios with the available fleet to optimize resource provisions for planned activities
    • Acts as Entity Planner and interface with other entity planners (Field Operations, ECP, IOP, Drilling & Completion and Projects entities) to ensure all logistics resources are captured as required
    • Co-ordinate with all other TechLog Entities (Marine, Operations, Logistic Bases, etc.) to prepare & consolidate the logistic strategic planning with strict quality assurance on the plan before releasing it to TechLog management for review
    • Interface with the Planning team of Technical Services Division to ensure inputs from TechLog Planning are provided timely
    • Provide Techlog inputs to IOP team in the preparation of the medium plan (4-months Look Ahead planning) and participate in the monthly-based meetings
    • Provide Techlog inputs to each Asset Planning team (JV & DW) in the preparation of the 24-Months Look Ahead planning and participate in the meetings on a bi-monthly basis
    • Participate in Techlog data preparation for the annual Long-Term Plan to be submitted to Development Planning
    • Implement on the planning tool the decisions taken in the long-term plan on Techlog supports to operations
    • Monitor TechLog planning execution and analyze in detail to identify in advance conflicts, delays, etc. for reporting to management with the objective to fully optimize resources (vessels, synergy of operations, etc.)
      Provide inputs for review and approval of annual work program and associated costs
    • Develop and contribute to improvement of the General Technical Logistics Planning KPIs

    Conduct Compliance function on all Techlog contractors by:

    • Performing due diligence, red flags, mitigation measures activities on all Techlog contractors
    • Interface with the compliance team as the compliance officer for Techlog

    Perform audit exercises:

    • Perform Internal, Contractors & Partners’ audits (Annual Partners Audit, Vessel Logs submission, IR Responses, Fuel/Environment, MAESTRO, Conduct other Audits as applicable)

    Profile

    • BSC, BEng. or equivalent
    • 5 years’ experience in Oil & Gas Industry Operations and a suitable knowledge in Logistics Operations
    • Fluency in English
    • Ability to adapt, analyze problems, communicate with different entities and be flexible

    Subsea Structures & Hardware Lead Engineer M/F

    Job description

    SPIE Services Nigeria Limited is looking for profiles to fill the position of Subsea Structures & Hardware Lead Engineer

    • To oversee all engineering aspects of all Subsea Structures (including Structures for Subsea Control Systems), Jumpers, and Connection Systems; with support from the Jumpers and Connection Systems engineer
    • Manage the Company Project team dedicated to the Subsea Structures & Tie-in Systems element of the Project to ensure the technical, budget and schedule objectives are met and that the responsibilities of the job description are discharged.
    • Review and ratify the Design Proposals from the Alliance (Design proposals include Basis of Design, Flow Diagrams, Specifications, Procedures, Calculation Notes, & MTOs).
    • Ensure that Design proposals from the Alliance meet the requirements and expectations of the various Exhibits in the FEED Contract.
    • Ensure implementation in his/her own discipline of all HSE and QC requirements and report to SPS Lead on any deviation.
    • Facilitate approval for Subsea Structures & Tie-in Systems related documentation, consolidating comments from within SPS Team and form other Company Packages leading up to their final approval.
    • Participate in the engineering review of other packages design documents which have an interface to the Subsea Structures & Tie-in Systems equipment
    • Evaluate the workload of Subsea Structures & Tie-in Systems Package and identify, as necessary, additional resources or the means required to meet Contract objectives to the SPS Lead.
    • Liaise with Company Specialists within the various Technical departments in HQ to ensure Design proposals from the Alliance meet the requirements of the Company specifications.
    • Actively follow-up the Alliance actual progress against all planned engineering activities required for completion of the Subsea Structures & Tie-in Systems equipment. Ensure that the Alliance are focused on meeting their commitments.
    • Initiate and manage weekly progress meetings with the Alliance and provide weekly and monthly reports to SPS Lead.
    • Review and manage the resources and organization of the Alliance, identifying that they are adequate (and competent) for achieving the discipline works
    • Manage the interface with other disciplines in the Project to ensure cross-package and inter-contract compliance. Ensure that any cost and / or schedule changes to agreed designs emanating from or impacting the Subsea Structures & Tie-in Systems equipment are identified. Highlight such changes, providing assistance to quantify the cost and schedule impact to the SPS Lead.
    • Expedite the timely disposition of Deviations/ Derogation requests as they effect the Subsea Structures & Tie-in Systems.
    • Participate in/organize any technical or co-ordination meeting necessary to fulfil the job responsibilities.
    • Coordinate the Lessons Learned to be developed for the Subsea Structures & Tie-in Systems.
    • Coordinate the preparation of the Close-out Report for the Subsea Structures & Tie-in-sys.

    Profile

    • Education: Professional engineer
    • Qualification: 10+ years' experience in the Engineering of Subsea Manifolds, FLETs, ILTs, Subsea Jumpers and Connection Systems, and SUTs.
    • To have experience in the application of industry standards and codes related to subsea hardware and systems such as API 6A & 17D, ASME B31.3, ASME B31.8, API RP-17P, API RP-17R, API RP-2A, as well as ISO, DNV and NORSOK equivalent standards.
    • To have knowledge of the main Subsea hardware suppliers' engineering and manufacturing processes.
    • Previous experience of Company / Operator Representation during similar type project execution is a distinct advantage
    • Mobility: placement is primarily in Lagos, Nigeria with the potential for international trips. Presence will be required at Manifold fabrication site during construction phase.

    • Assist to manage matters on SOR changes, technical queries and derogations to General Specifications, related to Umbilicals and flexible systems, associated ancillaries all associated interfaces (including Other UFR systems, existing Egina facilities, flow assurance, etc).
    • Assist in managing all Umbilicals and flexible systems, associated ancillaries’ interfaces with all other concerned FEED packages (Topsides, SPS, Other UFR systems, Flow Assurance, Safety and Field Operations etc.)

    Pipeline Engineer M/F

    Job description

     

    SPIE Services Nigeria Limited is looking for profiles to fill the position of Pipeline Engineer. His/her main objective will be:

    • Responsible for all activities related to Pipeline systems, associated structures (FLETs, ILTs, ancillaries), rigid spools and all associated interfaces (includingother Preowei systems, existing Egina facilities, Flow Assurance, etc.) for the PREOWEI FEED, CFT, EPSCC preparations up to FID.
    • Ensure the Pipeline systems, associated structures (FLETs, ILTs, ancillaries.), rigid spools and all associated interfaces (other Preowei systems, existing Egina facilities etc.) FEED activities are performed in accordance with Industry Best Practices, Company Rules, OneTech Directives and relevant COMPANY processes.
    • Focal point for PREOWEI Pipeline activities liaising directly with counterparts on Contractor side and with relevant support entities in OneTech Technical Lines Specialists/engineers.
    • Laise daily with counterpart on Contractor side to monitor the progress of FEED deliverables, anticipate / highlight delays and propose corrective actions when needed.
    • Assist to manage matters on SOR changes, technical queries and derogations to General Specifications, related to Pipeline systems, associated structures 
    • Assist in managing all Pipeline interfaces with all other concerned FEED packages (Topsides, SPS, Other UFR systems, Flow Assurance, Safety and Field Operations etc.)
    • Provide technical support as necessary to the SURF team on all matters relating to Pipeline systems, associated structures (FLETs, ILTs, ancillaries.), rigid spools and all associated interfaces (including Topsides, SPS, Other UFR systems, existing Egina facilities, flow assurance, etc.).

    FEED

    • Reviewing and approving FEED documents concerning Pipeline systems, associated structures (FLETs, ILTs, ancillaries...), rigid spools and all associated interfaces (including Topsides, SPS, Other UFR systems, existing Egina facilities, flow assurance, etc.). – typically including but not limited to Flowlines and rigid spools Mechanical design, Flowline expansion analysis, route optimization and field layout, on-bottom Stability Analysis, ECA, Lateral Buckling/Pipe-Walking Analysis, Free Span Analysis, Cathodic Protection design, Installation, Construction, Pre-commissioning and Commissioning Feasibility/Analyses etc.
    • Assisting, in Qualification activities as may be required pertaining to the relevant components of the flowline system including associated interfaces.
    • Assisting in resolution of interface issues as necessary, involving SPS, Topsides, Other UFR systems, installation, hook-up, pre-commissioning, commissioning etc., including the existing EGINA facilities.
    • Assisting in analysis of Contractor technical queries and deviation requests and preparation of comments and proposed answers to these queries.
    • Ensuring that Pipeline Engineering activities are performed in line with Contract requirements, Project Specifications.

    • 5-7 years’ experience in pipeline engineering for major EPSCC Deepwater projects. Relevant experience will include performance and/or validation of design specifications, performance and / or validation of detail design calculations for Pipelines, ECA and rigid spools etc.
    • Good knowledge of international design codes / standards and COMPANY

    General Specifications

    • Some knowledge in structural, hydrodynamics and flow-assurance will be also valuable
    • Some knowledge in materials, welding, NDT, ECA, corrosion, coatings will be also valuable
