    Depot Sales Officer

    The Depot Sales Officer is responsible for coordinating and executing all product sales and customer service activities at the depot. The role ensures accurate documentation, customer satisfaction, and achievement of sales targets in line with company goals. The position supports the Terminal Manager in implementing daily sales operations, monitoring market trends, and ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures.

    RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

    • Execute daily sales operations and ensure all transactions are accurately documented and authorized in line with company procedures.
    • Liaise with customers, marketers, and bulk buyers to facilitate timely product loading and delivery.
    • Monitor product availability at the depot and promptly communicate any shortages or supply issues to the Terminal Manager.
    • Conduct daily market price checks and provide up-to-date intelligence reports on competitors’ pricing and market trends.
    • Maintain and manage customer relationships to ensure satisfaction, retention, and repeat business.
    • Track and reconcile customer payments and outstanding balances in line with company credit control policies.
    • Prepare and submit accurate daily, weekly, and monthly sales performance reports to the Terminal Manager.
    • Assist in reactivating dormant customers and identifying new business opportunities within assigned areas.
    • Ensure full compliance with company's KYC and documentation requirements for all customers.
    • Address customer complaints promptly and escalate unresolved issues for timely management intervention.
    • Coordinate with depot operations and accounts teams to ensure smooth product loading, invoicing, and reconciliation.
    • Support the Terminal Manager in achieving monthly and quarterly sales targets.
    • Perform any other duties as may be assigned by Management

    Qualifications and Experience:

    • OND or HND in Marketing, Business Administration, Economics, or a related discipline.
    • Minimum of 3 years’ relevant experience in sales or marketing, preferably within the oil and gas downstream sector or depot operations.
    • Experience with depot sales documentation, customer service, and product movement tracking will be an added advantage.

    Skills and Competencies

    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Understands the market dynamics and has good customer relationship management abilities.
    • Strong numerical and analytical skills for reconciling sales and payment records.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
    • Basic understanding of depot operations and logistics coordination.
    • High level of integrity, accuracy, and attention to detail.
    • Strong team player with a proactive attitude.

    QHSE Field Officers

    The QHSE Field Officer is responsible for ensuring safety and procedural compliance within the gantry, truck assessment areas and tank farms. They continuously monitor operational activities and drive to ensure no incident occurs.

    RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

    • Support the QHSE team with planning, coordinating, and implementing of guidelines, and procedures to ensure that the Matrix Group's overall objectives are met.
    • Support compliance with Matrix Energy Policies, standards, and procedures, local and International HSE regulations, in Matrix Terminals.
    • Carry out specific HSE-MS implementation tasks.
    • Support Matrix Terminal. Operations & Maintenance Managers on HSE issues, especially resulting from activities on site.
    • Support in HSE training and orientation to all new employees.
    • Ensure all worksites are HSE compliant with Company policies and safety standards.
    • Seek to continuously improve HSE risk identification, assessment, and reduction in Matrix Terminals.
    • Support Investigations and complete the process for the close-out of all Accident Investigation Reports
    • Support HSE Performance Measurement from the QHSE team to ensure accuracy in data reporting and interpretation.
    • Support the HSE assurance process.
    • Support the build-up and delivery of HSE plans towards the realization of continuous improvement of HSE performance in Matrix Terminals.
    • Ensure toolbox meetings are conducted for all PTW and routine jobs.
    • Support the testing and maintenance of Matrix Terminal Emergency response procedures and plans.
    • Support in delivering HSE training for Matrix Terminal staff and contractors to ensure practices are in full compliance with the safe systems of work at the site. These trainings include Site HSE Induction, PTW, Life Saving Rules, ISO 14001 Awareness, Confined Space, Unsafe Acts Auditing, Fire Fighting, Use of PPE, Waste Management & Safe Handling of Chemicals.
    • Assist in ad-hoc HSE tasks/projects as required.

    JOB REQUIREMENTS

    • Minimum of 1- 2 years of experience.
    • OND Science/Engineering
    • HSE 1-3 certification
    • Professional qualification certification will be an added advantage.
    • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel.
