    Research Support Officer - Research Administration

    Duties
    Research Support:

    • Assist in literature reviews, data collection and preliminary analysis.
    • Support preparation of technical reports, presentations, and publications.
    • Maintain research databases and documentation.

    Project Coordination:

    • Track project timelines, deliverables, and milestones.
    • Coordinate meetings, workshops, and field visits.
    • Liaise with project partners and stakeholders.

    Administrative Support:

    • Manage correspondence, scheduling and travel logistics.
    • Assist in procurement and financial documentation.
    • Maintain filing systems and records.

    Communication & Reporting:

    • Draft internal and external communications.
    • Support donor reporting and documentation.
    • Maintain project visibility through newsletters or updates.
    • Perform any other duty as may be assigned by the Supervisor.

    Qualifications

    • HND / Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture, Development Studies, Business Administration or related field with a minimum of three (3) years’ experience performing a similar role in a well-structured environment.

    Competencies
    The ideal candidate must:

    • Have strong organizational and communication skills.
    • Be experienced in research or project administration.
    • Be proficient in Microsoft Office and data management tools.

    Research Assistant - Farm Operations

    Duties
    Farm Operations Support:

    • Assist in daily farm activities including feeding, cleaning, and animal handling.
    • Support crop and forage production activities including planting, harvesting, and maintenance.
    • Assist in implementing experimental protocols under supervision.
    • Oversees ILRI’s collaborator’s fieldwork for research and development.
    • Provide technical supports to out-station operations.

    Data Management Responsibilities:

    • Collect and record field and farm data using standardized tools and templates.
    • Ensure accuracy and completeness of data through regular validation and cleaning.
    • Enter data into ILRI-approved databases and spreadsheets.
    • Support data analysis and visualization for internal reports and presentations.
    • Maintain confidentiality and data security in line with ILRI policies.
    • Collaborate with research and IT teams to improve data collection workflows.
    • Contribute to MEL (Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning) activities by providing timely and quality data.
    • Perform any other duty as may be assigned by the Supervisor.

    Qualifications

    • HND / Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture, Animal Science or related field with a minimum of three (3) years’ experience performing similar role in a well-structured environment.

    Competencies
    The ideal candidate must:

    • Have strong organizational, communication and teamwork skills.
    • Be experienced in farm operations and basic data handling.
    • Be proficient in Microsoft Office and data management tools.
    • Be familiar with digital data collection tools (e.g., Excel, Kobo Toolbox).

    Research Assistant - Facility Maintenance

    Duties

    • Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of research infrastructure, including animal housing, water systems, and equipment.
    • Assist in repairs and upkeep of farm and laboratory facilities.
    • Ensure safety standards are maintained across all operational areas.
    • Support logistics for field and lab activities, including equipment setup and transport.
    • Maintain inventory of tools, spare parts, and maintenance supplies.

    Qualifications

    • Be experienced in facility maintenance and basic data handling.
    • Be familiar with digital tools for data entry and reporting (e.g., Excel, Google Forms).
    • Have the ability to work independently and in a team setting.

    Farm Worker

    Duties
    Farm Operations Support:

    • Support crop and forage production activities, including planting, weeding, and harvesting.
    • Maintain the cleanliness and orderliness of farm facilities.
    • Assist in routine checks and report any issues with animals or equipment.

    • O’level Certificate with a minimum of five (5) years’ experience performing a similar role in a well-structured environment.

    • Have experience in farm work, especially livestock and crop handling.
    • Have basic literacy and the ability to record information accurately.
    • Be willing to work in a production environment and perform physical tasks.
    • Ability to follow instructions and work in a team.

    HQCP Factory Farm Worker

    Duties
    Factory Operations Support:

    • Assist in processing and packaging of HQCP products.
    • Operate and clean factory equipment under supervision.
    • Ensure hygiene and safety standards are maintained in the factory.
