    Head, Agric Insurance

    Key Responsibilities

    • Develop and implement strategies for the growth and profitability of the Agric Insurance unit.
    • Identify and analyze market trends to develop innovative insurance products for the agricultural sector.
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including farmers, cooperatives, agribusinesses, and regulatory bodies.
    • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements related to agricultural insurance.
    • Lead a team to achieve sales targets and deliver exceptional customer service.
    • Conduct risk assessments specific to the agricultural sector and develop appropriate coverage solutions.
    • Collaborate with underwriting and claims teams to ensure smooth operations and prompt service delivery.
    • Provide regular reports and insights to senior management on the performance of the Agric Insurance unit.

    Qualifications and Experience

    • Bachelor's Degree in Agriculture, Insurance, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master’s degree is an added advantage.
    • Professional certification in insurance (e.g., CIIN, ACII) is highly desirable.
    • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in the insurance sector, with a strong focus on agricultural insurance.
    • Proven track record of developing and managing successful insurance products.
    • Strong understanding of the agricultural value chain and its associated risks.
    • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

    • Proven track record of driving organizational growth and transformation.
    • Deep understanding of the insurance market, including regulatory frameworks and emerging trends.
    • Strong financial acumen and experience in managing large-scale budgets.
