    Data Scientist

    Overview

    • As a Data Scientist at Busha, you will be at the core of our strategic initiatives. You will tackle complex business problems by applying advanced analytical techniques, designing machine learning models, and translating raw data into actionable insights that will shape product development, operational efficiency, and customer experience.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Problem Formulation: Collaborate with product, engineering, and marketing teams to identify business challenges and translate them into well-defined data science projects.
    • Data Exploration & Preparation: Extract, clean, and preprocess large, complex datasets from various sources (e.g., SQL/NoSQL databases, APIs, logs). Perform rigorous exploratory data analysis (EDA) to uncover trends and patterns.
    • Modeling & Validation:
    • Develop, train, and validate predictive models using machine learning algorithms (e.g., regression, classification, clustering, time series forecasting).
    • Apply appropriate statistical methods for inference and hypothesis testing (e.g., t-tests, ANOVA, chi-squared (χ2) tests).
    • Implementation & Deployment: Work with Data and software Engineers to deploy models into production environments. Monitor model performance and conduct iterative improvements.
    • Experimentation: Design, execute, and analyze A/B tests to measure the impact of new features, algorithms, and business strategies.
    • Communication: Visualize and communicate complex findings, model results, and strategic recommendations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders in a clear and compelling manner.

    The ideal employee must have:

    • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a quantitative field like Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, or a related discipline.
    • Experience: 3+ years of hands-on experience in a data science, machine learning, or quantitative analysis role.
    • Technical Skills:
    • High proficiency in Python and core data science libraries (Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn, Matplotlib, Seaborn).
    • Strong command of SQL for complex data querying and manipulation.
    • Solid theoretical and practical understanding of machine learning concepts and statistical modeling.
    • Hands-on experience with data warehousing solutions.
    • Soft Skills: Proven problem-solving ability, business acumen, and strong communication skills.

    Nice to Have:

    • Experience with cloud platforms (GCP, AWS, or Azure) and their associated ML services.
    • Familiarity with big data technologies (e.g., Spark, Dask).
    • Experience with deep learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch).
    • Knowledge of MLOps principles and tools (e.g., MLflow, Kubeflow, Docker).
    • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Metabase, Apache Superset, Tableau, Power BI, Looker).

    Business Development Manager

    Overview:

    • We are looking for a highly motivated individual with a strong background in fintech, cryptocurrency, and cross-border payments. The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying growth opportunities, forging strategic partnerships, and driving revenue expansion in both local and international markets. You will work with stakeholders to implement financial strategies aligned with business objectives.

    Responsibilities:

    • Develop and execute business development strategies to drive user acquisition, transaction volume, and revenue growth.
    • Identify new market opportunities and develop entry strategies for crypto, FX, and cross-border payments.
    • Analyze market trends, customer behavior, and competitor activities to inform strategy.
    • Manage and proactively drive pipeline of leads and business development opportunities.
    • Expand Busha’s footprint by developing business cases for new markets and product lines.
    • Build and manage relationships with financial institutions, payment service providers, and key fintech/crypto stakeholders.
    • Establish strategic alliances with government agencies and regulatory bodies to support market expansion.
    • Negotiate and onboard large volume traders and enterprise partners.
    • Identify and secure partnerships with banks, remittance providers, and FX liquidity partners to enhance Busha’s service offerings.
    • Support the development of the go to market strategy, including a list of prioritized client and solution opportunity, a detailed view of the revenue opportunity, and a market engagement plan.
    • Lead initiatives to drive revenue growth through high value B2B Partnerships and institutional onboarding.
    • Optimize cross boarder payment solutions to attract business and high net-worth individuals.
    • Use data-driven insights to measure and refine business development efforts.
    • Work closely with the legal and compliance team to ensure all business development initiatives align with regulatory requirements.
    • Develop solid projects pipeline, drive conversions over time, and secure revenue growth over time.
    • Identify and attend appropriate industry events and speaking engagements.
    • Stay ahead of industry trends, regulatory changes, and competitor strategies to keep busha competitive.

    The ideal employee must have

    • 5+ years of business development experience in fintech, crypto, FX, or cross-border payments.
    • Strong understanding of cryptocurrency exchanges, blockchain technology, remittances, and financial Services.
    • Established connections with banks, PSPs, FX liquidity providers, and government regulators.
    • Ability to identify opportunities, execute go-to-market strategies, and drive revenue growth.
    • Familiarity with compliance, AML policies, and global crypto/FX regulations.
    • Proven track record of closing high value partnerships and driving B2B sales.
    • Ability to analyze market trends, business performance, and competitive landscapes.
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills for pitching, negotiating and stakeholder management.
