    Co-Pilot (AW 189)

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

    • Must hold a valid Commercial Pilot License (CPL).
    • Must have good a Knowledge of the Nigerian Civil Aviation Regulations (NCARs).
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
    • A current ICAO / NCAA license.
    • Total time – 1100 hours minimum.
    • Total PIC – 500 hours minimum.
    • Total Multi PIC – 500 hours minimum.
    • Total Offshore – 100 hours minimum.
    • At least one-year offshore experience.
    • Class 1 medical.

    Responsibilities

    • Directly responsible for all operations pertaining to the safe efficient conduct of the flight from initial dispatch until termination of the flight. 
    • Participate in Safety Management System (SMS) activities to include supporting and promoting the safety culture, reporting all aviation safety-related issues, and adhering to the processes related to accomplishing SMS goals.

    Non-Essential Functions

    • Ensure cleanliness of company equipment such as aircraft, vehicles, offices, and living quarters.  Submit accurate and complete expense reports.
    • Maintain a professional, helpful, and congenial customer relation.

    AW189 Captain

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

    • All pilots shall possess an Airline Transport Pilot certificate;
    • Type rating – essential;
    • Similar category/complexity type rating – desirable;
    • 1,000 hours command in Type/similar complexity – desirable;
    • 3,000 hours total time in a helicopter;
    • 1,500 hours command in a helicopter;
    • 1,200 hours PIC on multi engine helicopters ;
    • Not less than 1 year and 500 hours Offshore Experience;
    • Accident & Violation Record: 2 Years Accident Free for Human Error Causes & Violation Free
    • Must have ICAO Class 1 Medical Certificate and be able to attain NCAA Class 1 Medical Certificate.

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Operates their assigned aircraft in a safe and efficient manner, in strict compliance with Bristow operational standards and all applicable regulations;
    • Ensure all licenses, ratings, medical certificates, and proficiency requirements are current before undertaking any Air Transport flight activity.
    • Places safety and customer service at the forefront in everything they do, both inside and outside the aircraft; Maintains situational awareness throughout the entire operational region with respect to weather conditions, NOTAMs, sea state and customer offshore facility status;
    • Manages passenger movements, aircraft movements, briefings and baggage loading to ensure safety and compliance;
    • Completes necessary flight planning paperwork, preflight, fueling and oversight of manifesting to ensure compliance;
    • Maintains with accuracy both electronic and paper records to include journey logs, personal flight and duty sheets, and aircraft technical logbook times;
    • Reports all aircraft mechanical irregularities by entering them in the aircraft paper and electronic technical log and ensures aircraft is airworthy before, during and after all flights;
    • Facilitates communications with the customer and ensures Bristow is represented in a professional manner – in demeanour and appearance;
    • Stays up to date on all Bristow operational and safety procedures;
    • Complies with other duties and assignments as determined by the Lead Pilot / Head of Flight Operations.
