    Communication Manager - Wellington College International Lagos

    Description

    ROLE OBJECTIVES 

    • The Communications Manager leads all external and internal communications during the pre‑opening phase. This includes content strategy, media management, PR, storytelling, and safeguarding the school’s reputation. The role ensures consistent, polished, parent‑focused messaging across all channels. 

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 

    Strategic Communications & Content 

    • Guarantee consistency in messaging and branding throughout all communication materials. 
    • Develop and own the pre‑opening communications strategy and editorial calendar. 
    • Generate and curate high‑quality written content for diverse internal communication channels, including social media, academic booklets, newsletters, emails, announcements, and presentations. 
    • Craft storytelling that strengthens WCIL’s positioning and supports admissions goals. 
    • Be able to turn around impactful content in short period of time. 
    • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key internal stakeholders, including department heads, faculty, and parent-teacher associations, to ensure alignment and collaboration in communication efforts.  

    Media & PR Management 

    • Manage relationships with journalists, media outlets, and community partners. 
    • Write and distribute press releases and media statements. 
    • Prepare leadership for media engagements; provide messaging guidance. 
    • Support crisis or sensitive communications with appropriate judgement. 

    Social Media Management 

    • Lead social media content planning, posting, monitoring, and tone of voice. 
    • Manage community engagement and escalation issues. 

    Collaboration & Brand Governance 

    • Work closely with the Graphic Designer to ensure visual and editorial consistency. 
    • Ensure all communications align with WCIL brand values and messaging standards. 

    Metrics and Analytics: 

    • Evaluate the effectiveness of communication efforts through data-driven reporting and analysis and then apply data-driven adjustments to communications strategies as necessary. 
    • Deliver regular reports on key communication metrics to line manager.

    Requirements

    EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS 

    • 5–7+ years in communications, PR, media relations, or a similar role in house or from within Agency 
    • Experience managing multiple native and international social media channels. 
    • Experience developing content from concept to storyboard through to release. 
    • Experience managing press, crisis comms, or sensitive public messaging.  
    • Strong writing, editing and narrative building skills. 
    • Strong ability to self-manage multiple information streams and multiple tasks. 
    • Strong interpersonal skills 
    • Ability to work at a fast pace to deliver outcomes. 
    • Proactive, confident communicator with mature judgement and discretion. 
    • Familiarity with education industry

    Graphic Designer - Wellington College International Lagos

    ROLE OBJECTIVES 

    • The Graphic Designer (Multimedia Designer) is responsible for producing highquality visual assets that support Wellington College International Lagos’ brand, marketing campaigns, admissions activities, and community storytelling. This role ensures visual consistency across all touchpoints and contributes to the school’s strong, premium brand identity. The Designer works closely with the Communications and Performance Marketing Managers to support digital, print, social, and eventrelated creative needs. 

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 

    Brand Design & Visual Identity 

    • Produce highquality visual assets aligned with the brand identity and tone. 
    • Maintain brand consistency across campaigns, admissions materials, web assets, and social media. 
    • Develop and update templates for presentations, posters, signage, newsletters, and internal communications. 

    Digital Creative Production 

    • Design graphics for social media, paid advertising, website banners, and email campaigns. 
    • Create engaging layouts for storytelling content in collaboration with the Communication and Performance Marketing Manager 
    • Prepare optimised digital assets for use across Meta, Google, and other platforms. 

    Print & Collateral Design 

    • Design admissions brochures, flyers, programme guides, event collateral, and environmental signage. 
    • Prepare printready files and manage revisions as needed. 
    • Liaise with printers and vendors to ensure quality production and timely delivery. 

    Event & Campaign Support 

    • Produce creative assets for Open Days, school tours, workshops, and community events. 
    • Support the Communications team with onsite materials, branded visuals, and signage. 
    • Collaborate with the Marketing & Admissions Assistant on event logistics related to design deliverables. 

    Multimedia & Light Video Editing 

    • Capture simple photos or short clips when needed to support content creation. 
    • Perform basic video editing for social media, highlight reels, or short storytelling content. 
    • Support freelancers and external agencies for larger video projects. 

    Asset Management & Workflow Support 

    • Maintain the digital asset library, ensuring assets are organised, tagged, and easy to access. 
    • Manage version control and ensure design files are properly archived. 
    • Support efficient production workflows, meeting deadlines across multiple projects.

    Requirements

    EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS 

    • Ability to translate conceptual briefs into highquality visual outcomes. 
    • Skilled in preparing assets for both print and digital use. 
    • Strong portfolio demonstrating both print and digital design capabilities.  
    • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign; Premiere/After Effects a plus).  
    • Experience designing for campaigns, social media, and branded collateral.  
    • Experience in an education, agency, or brandfocused environment preferred. 
    • Basic photography or video editing skills beneficial.

    Perfomance Marketing Manager - Wellington College International Lagos

    Description

    ROLE OBJECTIVES 

    • The Performance Marketing Manager owns all digital acquisition and conversion channels, including the pre‑opening website, SEO/SEM, paid campaigns, tracking, analytics, CRM setup, and lead nurturing. This role is central to building and managing the admissions pipeline. 

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    Website & SEO Management 

    • Own the school website (structure, updates, UX hygiene, and content improvements). 
    • Build highconverting landing pages for campaigns and open days and optimise for conversions. 
    • Maintain SEO best practice, including metadata, technical checks, load speed, and indexing.  
    • Partner with Communications for visuals and messaging alignment. 

    CRM Ownership & Automation Journeys 

    • Implement and maintain the CRM system including form setup, automated workflows, and tagging. 
    • Develop nurturing journeys across the parent funnel: inquiry → open day → application. 
    • Maintain data quality, reporting dashboards, and pipeline visibility dashboards.  
    • Ensure data integrity, compliance, and seamless lead routing to the Admissions team. 

    Paid Media Strategy & Analytics 

    • Plan, execute, and optimise paid media campaign across Meta/Google, YouTube, WhatsApp, TikTok 
    • Manage campaign budgets, pacing, and performance metrics (CPL, MQL rate, ROAS). 
    • Monitor campaign performance daily and implement strategic adjustments. 
    • Analyse funnel performance and recommend optimisation actions. 
    • Collaborate with Designer for creative assets and with Communications for messaging. 

    Data, Tracking & Analytics 

    • Lead all digital tracking (UTMs, Google Tag Manager, pixels, custom events). 
    • Build realtime dashboards for leadership and Admissions. 
    • Analyse fullfunnel performance and recommend data-driven improvements. 
    • Produce weekly insights reports and termly strategic analysis. 

    Innovation & Digital Advancement 

    • Evaluate and pilot emerging tools (e.g., AI/automation, new ad formats, personalisation) that improve performance or efficiency.  
    • Introduce and scale proven innovations across CRM, website, and journeys to enhance the parent experience.  
    • Benchmark and recommend bestinclass practices from leading schools/brands to drive continuous improvement. 
    • The successful candidate will also have to pass our safeguarding standards. 

    Requirements

    EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS 

    • 5–7+ years in digital marketing, paid media, growth marketing, or CRM management. 
    • Hands-on analytics experience (dashboards, attribution, and performance optimisation. 
    • Experience with marketing automation and CMS/CRM systems. 
    • Demonstrate ability to test and adopt practical innovations within budget. 
    • Highly analytical, detail‑oriented, and solutions‑driven. 
    • Clear communicator; collaborative and proactive. 
    • Able to manage multiple priorities in a fastpaced school environment.
