    Senior Technical Procurement Officer

    ROLE DESCRIPTION

    The purpose of this job description is to define the strategic and operational requirements for a Senior Technical Procurement Officer. This role is responsible for leading the end-to-end strategic sourcing and acquisition of aircraft components, ground support equipment, and specialized technical services. This role ensures the seamless availability of critical assets while maintaining strict compliance with global aviation safety standards (FAA/EASA) and optimizing supply chain costs to support operational readiness and fleet reliability.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Reviews present policies and procedures regarding purchasing and develops a system and technique of economical purchasing, and discusses with the supervisor.
    • Ensures that purchase orders are placed per existing company policy and procedures.
    • Designs and administers saving programs and procedures in coordination with the concerned sections.
    • Maintains updated price catalogues under his/her responsibility. Assures five Rights prior to issuance of purchase orders.
    • Keeps records of vendors' performance & provides reports when required. Prepares and reviews the monthly activities and submits to his immediate supervisor. Co-ordinates with finance and ensures that payments are affected in time.
    • Ensures that rejected materials are returned to vendor for credit or replacement. Periodically reviews open POS to ensure timely receipt and closure of the orders.
    • Evaluates vendors' Invoices & processes Change Notices for every repair order (R/O). Establish future requirements based on the historical compiled data.
    • Pursues warranty claims for materials that fail to provide service at the initial acquisition. Reviews and negotiates on
    • purchase/repair cost estimates before getting approval.
    • Expedites orders in coordination with vendors, logistics, freight forwarders and clearing agents. Co-ordinates with Stores, Logistics and maintenance planning regarding parts requirements and ensures availability of required parts for all aircraft undergoing major maintenance.
    • Administers warranty service agreements and ensures APL gets the maximum out of it. Keeps records of vendors' performance & provides reports when required.
    • Prepares and reviews the monthly activities and submits to his immediate supervisor upon request

    Embrear E2 Aircraft Engineer

    ROLE DESCRIPTION

    To carry out assigned repair and replacement tasks on aircraft and aircraft systems in accordance with regulatory and company procedures to uphold high safety standards and schedule integrity.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Assign and carry out inspections, repair, replacement and modification tasks on aircraft, aircraft components and aircraft systems.
    • Daily planning of own tasks, allocate tasks to the team of Technicians.
    •  Assess defects on aircraft, rectify and Certify within the limitation of company approval in accordance with standard operating procedures.
    •  Perform certification of tasks accomplished by the team of technicians.
    •  Communicate with internal/external customers to give and receive information on assigned duties, progress status.
    •  Make decision on resources allocation and team tasks in line with standard operating procedures.
    • Ensure tasks are performed to meet company standards and targets.
    •  Review work procedures and standards and propose improvements to procedures to ensure effectiveness.
    • Identify and requisition of the required aircraft parts.
    • Report incidents / accident occurrences as per company procedures
    • Ensure that maintenance tasks are recorded accurately & signed for to maintain correct & up to date aircraft history /data.
    • Adhere to the company safety, health, and environmental policy.
    • Supervise and Develop technicians for improved competency/ efficiency.

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, EXPERIENCE

    • Diploma in the relevant engineering discipline (Mechanical/Electrical/Aeronautical/Instrumentation)
    • At least 6 years aircraft maintenance certifying experience. Type-rated on Embraer 195 E2 or Embraer 170/190 E1 series;holding both ratings will be an added advantage.
    • Additional aircraft approvals (e.g., borescope inspection, engine run) will be an advantage. Good knowledge of aircraft systems
    • Good Knowledge of Aviation Legislation/Regulations
    • Proficiency in computer applications and MRO systems
    • Ability to interpret technical data.
    • Good inspection and troubleshooting technique.

    Line Maintenance Production Control Engineer

    Reports to: Line Maintenance Production Control Supervisor

    ROLE DESCRIPTION

    To Coordinate scheduled line maintenance activities on APL Fleet ensuring that all required resources are available for the on-time execution of planned tasks with minimum down time and maximizing the aircraft availability to meet the operational plans of the organization. Ensure optimal utilization of manpower, materials and facilities to achieve safe, compliant and on-time aircraft dispatch in accordance with NCAA regulations and applicable international aviation standards.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Review Monthly and weekly Maintenance Forecast to coordinate with different APL departments and external maintenance providers all necessary resources for on time execution of planned maintenance tasks in accordance with the time limitations specified by Planning department on the monthly forecast
    • Evaluate and plan with Fleet Managers the Manpower requirements for the accomplishment of maintenance tasks and checks in accordance with maintenance forecast.
    • Coordinate with Operations department (OCC) the aircraft ground time requirements for the execution of scheduled maintenance activities, considering the less impact on the aircraft availability to perform the flight itinerary.
    • Follow up with APL Stores and Procurement departments on the parts and tools availability to perform the planned maintenance tasks.
    •  Perform other tasks that may be reasonably assigned by her/his manager

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Bachelor's degree in engineering or aviation related field.
    • Minimum of 7 years' experience in the aircraft maintenance industry including 3 years in Production Planning or MCC Department.
    • Two years' experience as Production Control team leader (For Supervisor position only).
    • Desirable to hold a basic Aircraft Technical License (B1/B2).
    • Strong communications and project management skills.
    • Computer Literacy and Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications specially MS Excel and MS Project.
