    Social Media Intern

    Department: Commercial
    Job Type: Contract

    Responsibilities

    Social/Online Media Community Management:

    • Assist with streamlining company social media accounts (e.g. Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube, and other social media platforms), ensuring uniform content and tone of voice for landing pages, graphics, and other elements within the communities.
    • Increase the number of followers online by 1000 across platforms before middle of 2018
    • Grow LinkedIn Community groups e.g Nerds Unite to 2000 members by end of 2018
    • Monitoring and replying to online requests from candidates and clients (initially under supervision MarComms Manager) Ideation and generation of content for online communications for MainOne/MDXI across social platforms and posting on a daily basis, using tools like TweetDeck
    • Provide support to the PR and Digital Communications Team in terms of ideation and generation of content for online communications for MainOne/MDXI on Twitter, Facebook, Youtube and LinkedIn
    • Use monthly LinkedIn polls, contests and surveys to build our social media footprint
    • Ensure all staff and customers are added to MainOne community online.
    • Work with MarComms Manager and IT on updating MainOne/MDXI websites

    Content Generation and Distribution:

    • Schedule and coordinate a monthly brainstorming meeting with PR and Communications team on monthly social media and blogging calendar
    • Liaise with internal thought leaders to push out blog posts via owned accounts
    • Drive awareness of new blog posts by posting the articles into technology and data center forums and groups
    • Help to create one piece of video content per month and post on YouTube
    • Manage MainOne’s archive of digital images, videos and other content.

    Understanding and monitoring online analytics:

    • Assist with streamlining company social media accounts (e.g. Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube, and other social media platforms), ensuring uniform content and tone of voice for landing pages, graphics, and other elements within the communities. Understanding and monitoring social media analytics
    • Track key social media analytics on a monthly basis, including Google Analytics, Bitly statistics, LinkedIn company stats, etc.
    • Track and report website statistics using Google Analytics, examining how specific content performs and traffic flow on website.
    • Analyse best performing website pages and update other pages to reflect this.
    • Use tools like Klout, Tweriod to measure online influence, and monitor content type that gets increased shares.
    • Perform monthly audits of all online media accounts, benchmarked against competitors and adjust plans to optimize reach.

    Qualifications, Skills & Competencies

    • A Bachelor's degree in any field and Currently on NYSC
    • Years of Experience: 1 year
    • Proven written communication skills, and a passion for writing both short- and long-copy.
    • Experience with Microsoft applications, basic photo editing and video editing software. Experience with PhotoShop and InDesign a plus.
    • Familiarity managing multiple social media accounts and curating content online
    • Time management, skills and ability to work well under pressure
    • Good oral and written communication skills

    Managed Service Engineer

    Responsibilities

    • The Managed Service Engineer will be responsible for end to end communication monitoring and fault management of all circuits of Managed Services origin in MainOne using various TX, IP and trouble ticketing systems to support the delivery of his job functions.

    Specifically, the Managed Services Engineer responsibility includes:

    • Monitor all MainOne Managed Services customer circuits providing specific update, status and performance to customer and MainOne internal stakeholders etc.
    • Identify faults or performance issues within the customer network from MainOne’s monitoring tools in accordance with the Company’s standard operating procedure for fault escalation and management.
    • Work with service desk team to ensure trouble tickets (TT) are opened and updated for every network event within the customer’s managed services network and ensure they are tracked with customer, MainOne internal teams and MainOne partners till they are closed.
    • Ensure proper technical documentation of the customer managed services circuits and network information to aid effective operation of the managed service.
    • Maintain constant communication through phone calls and emails with the customer taking his complaints and ensuring they are resolved to the satisfaction of the customer using Main One’s standard operating procedures.
    • Run daily, weekly and monthly reports on customer’s network performance and share with customer and MainOne internal stakeholders.
    • Ensure all signed Managed Services SLAs with customer are met.
    • You will be required to liaise and interface with other groups/departments internally and other MainOne partners not limited to her vendors and 3rd Party service providers who are involved in the deployment of the "Managed Service" solutions.

    Qualifications, Skills & Competencies
    Qualification & Competencies required:

    • Minimum BSC in Electrical Electronics Engineering or Degree in a related discipline.
    • 5-7 years’ experience
    • Routing Protocol troubleshooting experience (BGP, IS-IS, OSPF, EIGRP)
    • Good knowledge of networking technologies- TCP/IP, BGP, DNS will be an added advantage.
    • Relevant Professional/Technical certifications preferably CCNA & CCNP
    • Good knowledge of Microwave network. Working knowledge of Ubiquiti radios will be an added advantage.
    • Good knowledge of Fibre network and its related carrier technologies e.g. GPON, Media Converter and DWDM.
    • Good communication skills.
    • Good documentation and reporting skills with proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office.
    • Able to use initiative to tackle a broad range of problems, while still following procedures and processes.
    • Strong diagnostic, analysis and problem resolution skills with a flexible approach to problem solving.
    • Able to work well within a busy team and handle a wide range of issues.
    • Capable of multi-tasking, good time management and prioritization of workload.
    • Strong analytical skills and able to collate and interpret data from various sources.
    • Ability to assess and prioritize faults and respond or escalate accordingly.
    • Willing to learn and develop new skills and actively seeks out tasks that help develop skills and knowledge.
    • Actively seeks ways of improving existing systems and processes.
