    Junior Sales Engineer

    Summary

    • The role focuses on driving sales of engineering products and lubricants, developing and managing customer relationships, providing technical support, and implementing sales strategies to achieve revenue and growth targets.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Achieve the agreed sales budget for assigned brands.
    • Develop sales within the assigned geographical territory through direct sales visits and contracted freelancers where applicable.
    • Develop and manage freelancers within the assigned area to increase market reach.
    • Follow and implement approved sales strategies to achieve growth and sales targets.
    • Develop and maintain positive relationships with existing customers through effective account management and attention to customer needs.
    • Assess and define customer applications to ensure the correct products are recommended and applied appropriately.
    • Promote brands using a value-based sales approach.
    • Engage actively with customers and position yourself as a consultant when selling products.
    • Follow up with existing customers with a high degree of commitment and professionalism.
    • Set and maintain a clear and structured sales activity plan.
    • Protect and promote product pricing, positioning, and premium value.
    • Submit daily, weekly, and monthly reports using sales tools and databases, including information gathered from customers, competitors, and market activities.
    • Support sales activities through site surveys and provide technical advice to existing and prospective customers.
    • Continuously improve technical knowledge of product technologies and applications.
    • Support the complete sales process, including prospecting, discussions, demonstrations, exhibitions, reference selling, and negotiations to achieve sales targets.

    Requirements
    Education:

    • BSc or HND in any related field.
    • An added advantage in Electrical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering.

    Experience:

    • 1–2 years of corporate B2B direct selling and sales management/relationship management experience.
    • Experience in a manufacturing or engineering company.
    • Proven record of high-performance sales.
    • Industrial products and engineering solutions.
    • Sales strategy implementation and territory development.
    • Customer relationship management and account management.
    • Technical product applications and solution selling.
    • Sales reporting tools and database management.
    • Market intelligence and competitor analysis.
    • Prospecting, product demonstrations, exhibitions, reference selling, and negotiation techniques.

    Senior Sales Engineer

    Job Summary

    Key Responsibilities
    Sales & Business Development:

    • Drive lubricant sales growth within the Nigerian market.
    • Implement approved sales strategies to achieve business growth objectives.
    • Identify and pursue new business opportunities across target industries.
    • Promote company brands using a value-selling approach.
    • Position the company as a trusted technical consultant to customers.

    Customer Relationship Management:

    • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective customers.
    • Follow up with customers with a high level of professionalism and commitment.
    • Understand customer applications and recommend appropriate technical solutions.
    • Protect and maintain premium product positioning and pricing.

    Technical Support & Product Application:

    • Conduct site surveys and provide technical support to customers.

    • Support product demonstrations, exhibitions, and technical presentations.

    Sales Operations & Reporting:

    • Maintain a clear and organized sales activity plan.
    • Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly sales reports.
    • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, customer feedback, and industry developments.
    • Utilize sales tools and databases effectively for reporting and customer management.
    • Achieve a minimum Gross Contribution margin of 30%.

    End-to-End Sales Management;

    • Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting and lead generation to negotiation and closure.
    • Support discussions, presentations, demonstrations, exhibitions, and negotiations to achieve sales targets.

    Requirements

    • Minimum of 5 years’ corporate B2B direct sales experience.
    • Experience in FMCG, F&B, manufacturing, engineering, construction, cement, or related industries.

    Proven experience selling:

    • Industrial machines
    • Compressors
    • Pumps
    • Valves
    • Conveyors
    • Bearings
    • Belts
    • Industrial lubricants
    • Engineering spare parts
    • Experience working in a manufacturing or engineering company with a track record of strong sales performance.

    Education:

    • B.Sc. or HND in a related discipline.
    • Additional qualification in Electrical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering is an added advantage.

    Product & Industry Knowledge:

    • Engineering products and industrial applications
    • Power transmission products
    • Bearings and conveyor systems
    • Industrial lubrication products
    • Hoses, seals, pumps, valves, and gaskets
    • Electric motors and gear drives
    • Fasteners and welding solutions

    Key Responsibilities

    • Drive safely and punctually to meetings, appointments, and other official duties.
    • Plan and follow the best routes to avoid traffic or delays.
    • Maintain strict confidentiality and exhibit professional behavior.

    Requirements

    • Must live in close proximity to Gbagada, Bariga, Somolu and environs.
    • Minimum of 4 years’ driving experience,
    • Excellent knowledge of Lagos roads and traffic laws.
    • Valid driver’s license.
