About You and the Role

• We’re looking for a seasoned Program Manager to own and lead our portfolio of programmatic work and onboarding of new use cases in Nigeria.
• You’ll be responsible for developing and communicating project plans and timelines, marshaling cross-functional resources to successfully deliver against program goals, setting and tracking progress against weekly KPI targets, coordinating with external partners and stakeholders to enable execution, supporting monitoring and evaluation activities, and integrating partner feedback to improve programmatic design and operational performance.
• The ideal candidate for this role demonstrates advanced operational and project management skills, a knack for communicating with influence across all levels of an organization, a track record of achievement in launching and leading complex projects, and a creative, unrelenting approach to problem-solving.

Responsibilities
What you’ll do:

• Establish and manage a project plan, timeline, and budget, driving accountability and ownership across cross-functional teams, including Customer Success, Operations, Aviation Regulatory, Impact Evaluation, Marketing, Finance, and Software teams
• Develop, communicate, and execute use case implementation and integration plans, from milestone achievements to launch dates
• Collaborate with and coordinate across key external stakeholders, including the funders, local implementers and agencies, governmental and policy bodies, research partners, and local community organizations - to ensure the availability of necessary commodities and successful and timely launches
• Work with external partners to design workflows and plans that solve how a program or use case will integrate into a partner’s existing clinical and operational framework
• Lead cross-functional retrospectives and process improvement efforts, including documenting and tracking risk factors, identifying opportunities, and creating systems and processes that allow for faster and better launches at scale
• Partner on research design and rollout, ensure programmatic KPIs are tracked and reviewed regularly, and compile quarterly stakeholder reports
• Identify potential improvements to the program or use case design, and work with internal and external stakeholders to evaluate and incorporate these changes
• Coach and mentor other program managers across the team

Requirements
What you’ll bring:

• 7+ years of experience leading donor-funded programs, preferably in health
• Proven track record in planning and managing complex programmatic rollouts with international and multi-sector scopes
• Experience executing programs on behalf of or in partnership with governments is a plus
• Advanced project management and operational skills, including demonstrated ability to leverage digital project management and communication tools
• Excellent communication skills, including ability to write professional progress reports
• Collaborative approach that includes working with multiple internal and external stakeholders simultaneously
• Experience stewarding relationships with institutional donor organizations a plus
• Comfort managing ambiguity and experience building processes from the ground up
• Self-starter, highly motivated and solution-oriented
• Commitment and ability to train staff and partners; management experience a plus
• Fluency in English
• Ability to travel: Up to 50%.

Responsibilities
Local Community Engagement around new and existing distribution centers:

• Develop and implement a nest or country-based customer engagement strategy that is aligned with the nest or country’s programs and goals.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with local community stakeholders such as municipal council members and tribal leaders.
• Maintain ongoing relationships with local military and law enforcement to enable ongoing flight operations and nest access.
• Execute and host blood drives to ensure fulfillment of recurring blood demand
• Execution of relevant community-based customer events that positively impact service utilization. 
• Lead the community entry strategy during the launch of new  Distribution Centers

Health Facility Bring-Up:

• Develop and onboard new delivery drop-off locations through consideration of ideal topographical locations and site demographics. This includes the justification for the need for new delivery sites.
• Train, mentor, and generally support health care workers at Zipline delivery sites in the use of Zipline services
• Proactive outreach to health facilities and communities where we operate to grow service utilization. 
• Onboard new health facilities and health facilities workers

Drive Operational Efficiencies that impact our local communities:

• Collate and analyze community and health-based customer insights that feed into operations strategy.

Requirements
What You'll Bring:

• 2 years Plus Work experience within the health sector and stakeholder engagements with a proven track record.
• You have significant prior experience working with hospitals, pharmacies, or medical supply chain - Operations management, with a good understanding of operational KPIs and data management.
• You have significant prior experience in the field, working with local communities to both understand their needs and drive the utilization of new programs 
• You can communicate effectively (verbally and in writing) and are comfortable speaking in front of large groups
• You have experience building strong, high-trust relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders
• You are detail-oriented and have experience organizing successful in-person events for large groups
• You have the grit, resourcefulness, and resilience to thrive in novel, uncertain, and constantly changing business and regulatory environments
• You believe deeply that access matters, and that we can and will provide access to essential medical supplies for every person on the planet 
• You can communicate proficiently in English and a local dialect within Cross River State.
