Using participatory methods that promote accountability and directly engage community members in monitoring changes over time, WfWI will be able to measure changes in social norms, community member attitudes and tolerance of GBV, knowledge and awareness of critical issues, perceptions of changing trends and their effects, observed institutional changes, and concrete commitments and actions taken in support of violence prevention. Specifically:

Goal: Transform the social norms that trigger and drive GBV

    • Outcome: Communities have deepened their understanding of context-specific gender norms and drivers of GBV and participate in change measurement.
    • Outcome: Local stakeholders have improved capacity to respond to community GBV
    • Outcome: National CSO actors strengthen advocacy for GBV prevention.
      • Indicator: Change in CSO capacity to influence national-level advocacy (qualitative).

    Target Project Location

    • Small groups will engage in debates to determine the importance of these changes and identify the most significant ones.
