    Bursar

    The Person

    • Applicants for the post of Bursar must have, in the past, exhibited considerable degree of competence, responsiveness, demonstrable integrity and transparency on matters of Bursary.
    • Applicants must be in good health and be able to endure the rigours of the duties of the office.
    • Also, candidates must possess the following qualities: vision, proven academic distinction, managerial ability, integrity and transparency in private and public life.
    • In addition, candidates should have the ability to develop linkages with the external communities to support the emerging needs of the University, command respect and arouse cooperation and loyalty of staff and students of the University.

    Job Description

    • The Bursar shall be responsible to the Vice Chancellor for the administration of the University's Bursary and coordination of the financial matters in the University.
    • Prospective candidates must show innovative approaches to the running of an ICT-driven Bursary, working at the highest level of efficiency to promote and sustain a vibrant Bursary and eliminate time wasting, bureaucratic bottlenecks and fraud.

    Qualifications

    • Candidates must possess a Bachelor's Degree not below second class lower division in Accounting from a recognised institution, and professionally recognized Accountancy qualifications e.g. ACA, ANAN etc. Possession of higher degree(s) will be an added advantage.
    • Plus: Fifteen (15) years post-qualification experience, at least five (5) of which must have been in the position of Deputy Bursar or in top managerial/financial position in a University setting or similar institutions of higher learning.

    Conditions of Service

    • The successful candidate shall hold office for a single term of five (5) years on such terms and conditions applicable to Federal Universities in Nigeria and as may be determined by appropriate University Laws and the Governing Council.
    • Candidates who do not have the required five (5) years for a full term before retirement need not apply, that is, candidates should not have attained the age of 60 years or above by the date appointment would take effect.

    Salary
    The remuneration and other conditions of service are as applicable to the post of Bursar of all Nigerian Federal Universities; and as may be determined from time-to-time by the Government / Governing Council as appropriate.

    University Librarian

    The Person

    • Prospective candidates must show innovative approaches to the running of an ICT-driven Library, working at the highest level of efficiency to promote and sustain a vibrant Library including e-library of world class standard with up-to- date volumes.

    Qualifications

    • Candidates must possess a Bachelor's Degree not below second class lower division in Library Science and a Ph.D.
    • Must have contributed to knowledge through copious research and publications in reputable journals.
    • Plus: Fifteen (15) years post-qualification experience, at least five (5) of which must have been in the position of Deputy Librarian in a University setting or similar institutions of higher learning.

    • The successful candidate shall hold office for a single term of five (5) years on such terms and conditions applicable to Federal Universities in Nigeria and as may be determined by appropriate University Laws and the Governing Council.

    Chief Security Officer

    The Person

    Job Description

    • The Chief Security Officer shall be responsible to the Vice Chancellor for administering the Security matters of lives and properties of Staff, Students, and other Stakeholders in the University.
    • Prospective candidates must show proven record of considerable ability. competence, industry and integrity needed to ensure a robust and result oriented campus security system at all times.
    • He/she must be capable of planning, organizing and proactive security service.
    • Above all, he/she must possess good human relations and the best attributes of a leader and effective manager.

    Qualifications

    • Candidates must possess a Bachelor's Degree not below second class lower division from a recognized University coupled with a Certificate in Security Training.
    • Plus: At least fifteen (15) years cognate experience in Security Services.
    • Candidate must have attained the rank of not less than Superintendent of Police or its equivalent in any of the Armed Forces.
    • Experience in a comparable institution will be an advantage.

    Conditions of Service

    • The successful candidate shall hold office for a single term of five (5) years on such terms and conditions applicable to Federal Universities in Nigeria and as may be determined by appropriate University Laws and the Governing Council.
