    UAV / Aircraft Design Engineer

    Core Purpose:

    • To conceptualize, design, analyze, and validate fixed-wing, rotary-wing, or hybrid unmanned aircraft systems. This role bridges the gap between initial mission requirements and the physical aircraft, ensuring optimized aerodynamics, performance, structural integrity, and overall flight safety.
    • Lifecycle Position: Involved across the entire product development cycle—from translating high-level mission needs into trade studies, down to supporting prototype fabrication and real-world flight testing.

    Key Responsibilities & Deliverables

    • Configuration & Sizing: Developing early aircraft layouts (wings, fuselage, control surfaces, payload integration) and executing sizing, mass properties estimation, and center-of-gravity (CG) tracking.
    • Engineering Analysis: Predicting critical performance metrics (takeoff, cruise, endurance, service ceiling, stall speeds) and conducting aerodynamic and structural evaluation via CFD and FEA methods.
    • Materials & CAD Modeling: Selecting optimized airfoils and structural materials while maintaining master 3D CAD models, engineering drawings, and technical data.
    • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Interfacing daily with propulsion, avionics, embedded systems, and manufacturing teams to optimize Design for Manufacturing and Assembly (DFM/DFA).
    • Core Deliverables: Aircraft conceptual design definitions, master CAD models/production drawings, aerodynamic/structural analysis sheets, weight/balance reports, and engineering change documentation.

    Candidate Requirements

    • Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace or Aeronautical Engineering with at least 3 years of relevant hands-on aircraft or UAV design experience.
    • Technical Software Suite: Proficiency in standard CAD suites (e.g., SolidWorks, CATIA, Siemens NX) and engineering analysis platforms (e.g., ANSYS, Abaqus, OpenFOAM, XFLR5, MATLAB/Simulink).
    • Domain Competencies: Deep understanding of fluid/flight mechanics, aircraft structural layouts, and load paths. Preferred familiarity with composite design, electric/hybrid propulsion configurations, and aviation standards.
    • Mindset & Soft Skills: Systems-level thinker with excellent documentation habits, high attention to detail, and a willingness to get hands-on during prototype assembly and field-range flight testing.

    PCB and Embedded System Engineer

    Core Purpose:

    • To handle end-to-end electronic design, going from circuit schematic capture and PCB layout to firmware programming, manual prototype soldering, and hardware debugging.

    Key Responsibilities & Technical Expectations

    • PCB Design & Manufacturing: Create single-, double-, and multi-layer layouts using KiCad, Altium Designer, or EasyEDA. Select components, generate manufacturing packages (Gerber, BOM, pick-and-place files), and liaise with PCB fabrication suppliers.
    • Assembly & Hardware Debugging: Perform manual soldering (including SMD components), test power rails, route signal paths, and troubleshoot hardware using tools like oscilloscopes, multimeters, and logic analyzers.
    • Firmware Development: Develop and edit embedded C/C++ firmware to interface microcontrollers with sensors, actuators, wireless modules, and displays over communication protocols (UART, I²C, SPI, LoRa, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi).
    • Documentation & DFM: Apply basic Design for Manufacturing (DFM) principles and track design revisions, test logs, and schematic updates.

    Candidate Requirements

    • Education: Minimum ND/HND (or equivalent practical experience) in Electrical, Electronic, Computer, or Mechatronics Engineering.
    • Technical Tools: Familiarity with EDA suites (KiCad, Altium Designer, EasyEDA, or Eagle) and diagnostic lab software/hardware.

    Core Competencies:

    • Practical understanding of analog/digital electronics, ability to read component datasheets and schematics, strong soldering proficiency, and clear technical documentation habits.

UAV Composite Manufacturing Technician (Composite Technician)

    Core Purpose:

    • To physically fabricate, cure, assemble, and repair lightweight composite airframe structures, turning technical engineering designs into flight-ready UAV components.

    Key Responsibilities & Deliverables

    • Composite Fabrication: Prepare molds (release agents, surface prep), execute wet or prepreg carbon fiber and fiberglass layups, integrate core materials (foam, honeycomb), handle resins, manage vacuum bagging, oversee curing (oven/autoclave), demold, trim, and perform basic non-destructive testing (tap tests).
    • Airframe Assembly: Bond structural parts, assemble major airframe sections (fuselage halves, wings, tails), install hardpoints/fittings, perform jig-based alignments, execute structural repairs, and support prototype modifications.
    • Tooling & Fixtures: Construct, modify, and maintain basic workshop molds, jigs, and fixtures to streamline assembly and improve production efficiency.

    Candidate Requirements

    • Technical Skills: Hands-on experience with carbon fiber, fiberglass, resins, vacuum bagging systems, and precision mold preparation.
    • Manufacturing Literacy: Ability to work with jig-based alignment setups, structural bonding adhesives, and basic shop tools for trimming and finishing.
    • Competencies & Mindset: High craftsmanship, attention to structural detail, manual dexterity, and practical problem-solving for prototype rework and fabrication.
