The Retail Expansion Officer will play a critical role in identifying, assessing, and supporting the acquisition of new retail outlets across strategic locations to drive the growth and presence of the Company. You will conduct feasibility studies, manage pre-site evaluation processes and support regulatory approvals in line with the company’s growth targets. This role requires strong market knowledge, analytical ability, stakeholder engagement skills, and a passion for execution.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct site inspections, market research, and feasibility studies for potential retail station locations.
• Support in identifying viable properties or lease partnerships for retail outlet development.
• Liaise with landlords, property agents, and government agencies to facilitate negotiations, inspections, and documentation.
• Prepare detailed site evaluation reports and business case proposals for each identified location.
• Work with legal, engineering, and project teams to ensure proper handover and commencement of site development.
• Track and report on the pipeline of new retail sites and expansion progress.
• Facilitate and support regulatory approval processes, documentation, and license applications.
• Monitor the competitive landscape in assigned regions to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
• Participate in expansion strategy reviews and planning sessions with the Retail Business Division.
• Support post-launch performance tracking of newly onboarded stations to evaluate success vs projections.

Requirements:

• Minimum of a first degree in Engineering, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration or any related discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar/related role.
• Strong project management experience
• Good understanding of the downstream oil and gas sector.
• Familiarity with land acquisition processes, permits, and regulatory frameworks
• Basic financial acumen to support site viability assessments
• Expert knowledge and use of Microsoft Office Suite (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
• Excellent Report Writing Skills.
• Driven, independent, strategic thinker and leader who can juggle multiple projects simultaneously with fast-changing priorities.
• Excellent negotiation skills.

Job Summary

The Technical Assistant (TA) to the Managing Director (MD) will serve as a key strategic and operational support to the MD of Sunbeth Energies Limited. This role requires a highly analytical, organized, and discreet professional who will provide executive support, conduct in-depth research and analysis, manage high-priority initiatives, and coordinate cross-functional efforts across the company. The TA will act as an extension of the MD’s office, ensuring timely execution of critical projects, and offering insight-driven recommendations on business matters.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Strategic and Technical Support

• Assist the MD in developing and executing business strategies aligned with corporate goals.
• Conduct industry research, market analysis, and competitor benchmarking to support decision-making.
• Provide technical insights and recommendations on oil and gas operations, regulatory requirements, and project feasibility.
• Support business expansion initiatives, partnerships, and investment opportunities by preparing feasibility reports and presentations.

Project Coordination and Execution

• Oversee and track the progress of key projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
• Liaise with internal teams and external stakeholders to facilitate smooth project execution.
• Identify potential risks in operations and recommend mitigation strategies.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and best practices.

Operations and Performance Monitoring

• Monitor and analyze operational performance metrics, identifying areas for efficiency improvement.
• Prepare reports, dashboards, and presentations for the MD’s review.
• Work closely with department heads to implement process improvements and optimize productivity.

Executive Support and Communication.

• Act as a liaison between the MD and key internal and external stakeholders.
• Prepare technical reports, policy documents, and board-level presentations (where necessary).
• Attend meetings with or on behalf of the MD, documenting key discussions and action points.
• Facilitate effective communication between the MD and senior leadership teams.

Regulatory and Compliance Oversight

• Stay updated on oil and gas industry regulations, environmental policies, and safety standards.
• Ensure that the company remains compliant with all local and international regulations.
• Support risk assessment initiatives and provide recommendations for mitigating compliance risks.

Required:

• Minimum of a first degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration or any related     discipline.
• 3 – 5 years of previous experience in a similar role.
• Familiarity with the downstream oil & gas sector is an advantage.
• Knowledge of regulatory nuances of the Nigerian Oil and Gas space.
• Financial Modelling experience will be an added advantage
• Good understanding of cost management methods.
• Strong project management experience.
• Understanding of budgeting and budgetary control
• Expert knowledge and use of Microsoft Office Suite (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
