    Procurement Manager (Airsystems Limited)

    Job Description

    • We currently seek to recruit an experienced individual with a history of successful performance to function as Procurement Manager in our plant in Ogun State.

    Key Responsibilities
    Will include, but are not limited to the following:

    • Estimating and establishing cost parameters and budgets for purchases.
    • Maintain accurate records of purchases and pricing.
    • Create and maintain good relationships with vendors/suppliers.
    • Making professional decisions in a fast-paced environment.
    • Maintain records of purchases, pricing, and other important data.
    • Review and analyze all vendors/suppliers, supply, and price options.
    • Develops plans for purchasing equipment, services and supplies.
    • Negotiate the best deal for pricing and supply contracts.
    • Ensure that the products and supplies are high quality.
    • Create and maintain inventory of all incoming and current supplies.
    • Maintain and update list of suppliers and their qualifications, delivery times, and potential future development.

    Qualifications / Experience

    • Minimum of HND in Engineering / Humanities or related field.
    • Minimum of five (5) years working experience as Procurement personnel.
    • Solid knowledge and understanding of procurement processes, policy, and systems.
    • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel).
    • Ability to negotiate, establish, and administer contracts.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently.
    • Accurate and precise attention to detail.
    • Ability to work well with management and staff at all levels.

    Research and Development Manager

    Job Description

    • The Research and Development Manager performs research and development duties for the company.
    • He will oversee research activities; and develop knowledge-based products for the company.
    • They use research theories, principles and models to perform a variety of experiments and activities.
    • He/she will also develop research programs incorporating current developments to improve existing products and study the potential of new products.

    Job Responsibilities

    • Meeting with business management, marketing, and the R&D team to discuss product ideas.
    • Building the project plan (scope, timeline, budget) with the cross-functional team members, getting review + approval from the stakeholders before starting significant investments
    • Monitoring the execution (achievements/investments, actual versus forecast), giving support to the project team, removing impediments, revising the plan based on updated/new inputs and communicating to Stakeholders
    • Conducting market research and evaluating similar products and their functions.
    • Facilitating project team collaboration and communication, within the project and towards external stakeholders
    • Collaborating with the engineering and marketing department on product feasibility.
    • Redesigning existing products to enhance functionality or reduce costs.
    • Creating design projects and specification sheets.
    • Presenting product designs to management and stakeholders.
    • Overseeing the engineering of product prototypes.
    • Testing prototype products for functionality, ease-of-use, and longevity.
    • Resolving product issues.
    • Overseeing the production process.

    Qualifications

    • First Bachelor's Degree / HND in Mechanical / Electrical / Mechatronics Engineering or any relevant field.
    • A Master’s Degree will be an added advantage
    • Certifications with relevant Engineering body is a must
    • Minimum of 8 years postgraduate cognate experience, 4 years out of which must be in a managerial position.
    • Demonstrate technical design skills to create functional and attractive products that are cost-effective and user-friendly.
    • Previous experience in the Automobile, aerospace and other defence sector is desirable.

    Business Development Manager

    Summary of Responsibilities

    • The Business Development Manager builds market position by locating, developing, defining, negotiating, and closing business relationships/deals.
    • He/She identifies sales leads, pitch goods or service to new, existing and potential clients and maintain a good working relationship with all contacts.
    • Communicating new product developments to prospective clients, overseeing the development of marketing literature and reports writing and presentation.

    Specific Duties and Responsibilities

    • Identifies trendsetter ideas by researching industry and related events, publications, and announcements; tracking individual contributors and their accomplishments.
    • Develop a growth strategy focused both on financial gain and customer satisfaction.
    • Locates or proposes potential business deals by contacting potential partners; discovering and exploring opportunities.
    • Screens potential business deals by analysing market strategies, deal requirements, potential and financials; evaluating options, resolving internal priorities and recommending equity investments.
    • Develops negotiating strategies and positions by studying integration of new venture with company strategies and operations, examining risks and potentials, estimating partner’s needs and goals.
    • Closes new business deals by coordinating requirements, developing and negotiating contracts and integrating contract requirements with business operations.
    • Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential.
    • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
    • Enhances organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests, exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
    • Any other function(s) that may be assigned by the GMD.

    Minimum Educational Qualifications and Work Experience

    • First Bachelor’s Degree / HND in Marketing, Business Administration, Accounting, Economics or any Social sciences.
    • A Master’s degree or an MBA will be added advantage
    • Minimum of 5 years post graduate cognate experience, 2 years out of which must be in a managerial position.
    • Demonstrate understanding and application of complex sales techniques and track record creating, negotiating and closing multi-million large scale deals.

    Minimum Competency and Skills Requirements

    • Proven working experience as a business development manager, sales executive or a relevant role
    • Ability to build rapport
