Job Duties / Responsibilities / Accountabilities

• Assists with day-to-day running of the finance department.
• Preparation of Inter-company schedules for monthly & annual reporting.
• Preparation of customer invoices - TMSA, APL and reconciliation of its related ledgers.
• Preparation of Inter-company & OPC invoices and reconciliation of its related ledgers.
• Ensure filing of statutory returns e.g VAT, WHT, CIT are accurate and submitted on time.
• Preparation of schedules for PAL & SYNERPET management reports – Bank reconciliations, Fixed Assets Schedules, Accruals, Prepayments etc.
• Maintenance of GL accounts on Navision, monthly reconciliation of all balance sheet GL accounts.
• Ensure company assets are accurately accounted for and well monitored.
• Ensure tax compliance in transactions processing on daily transactions.
• Follow established policies and procedures to make judgements/ decisions.
• Act as back up to Accounts payable officer when absent or unavailable.
• Any other duty as requested by management.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Accounting or Finance or related field from an accredited university.
• Experience: 3-5 years relevant experience in similar role
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft office suite
• Use of financial and accounting software applications
• Proficiency of Corporate Accounting Practice / Standard Auditing Practices along with the expertise in budget analysis and identification of variance
• Knowledge of cost accounting, management and accounting standards
• Knowledge of statutory provision with respect to the tax management & planning
• Conversant with federal and state financial regulation, applicable laws, codes and regulations.
• Good understanding of oil and gas industry.

Main Responsibilities

• To cultivate and maintain strong customer relationships.
• Assist the leadership team to develop, manage and monitor the QHSSE performance of the company.
• Monitor and advise on all QHSSE matters, issues and concerns to ensure Company compliance with statutory requirements, Company and contractual requirements and good industry practice.
• Liaise with Customers and Supply Chain, regarding QHSSE matters, ensuring their expectations are met.
• Responsible for Company’s QHSSE processes and procedures to ensure the Company maintains
  its accreditations (ISO9001-2015, ISO14001-2015, OHAS18001-2007, Achilles FPAL Verified,
  Achilles UVDB B2 Verified etc.
• Responsible for management of and liaison with QHSE auditors to acquire/maintain Company’s accreditations
• Conduct audits to evaluate the effectiveness of systems and procedures, identifying and
  assisting implementing improvements
• Manage and monitor emergency procedures, signage, PPE, COSHH control etc.
• Report on Company’s QHSE performance to the leadership team and statutory authorities
  as/when required.
• Create and execute project work plans and revise as appropriate to meet changing needs and
  requirements.
• Conduct QHSE training courses using internal and external resources when required.

Qualifications / Experience

• Experienced in managing and implementing Quality Management Systems Essential
• Quality Assurance qualification from an accredited body or through experience Essential
• NEBOSH or similar qualification
• Essential Knowledge of the power, gas and offshore industry Desirable.
