General Qualifications

• B.Sc / HND in Quantity Surveying.
• Professional qualification will be an added advantage
• Minimum of 5 years post NYSC qualification experience
• Candidates must have worked as QS for a construction company.
• Must understand how to prepare material and labor schedule.
• Must be able to prepare BOQ with rates take off with project drawings.
• Must have excellent understanding of grades of concrete with their mix ratios.
• Must have excellent understanding of how to prepare valuations an variations claims
• Must understand how to price project preliminaries in relation to extension of time
• Must understand the various methods of valuing preliminary for an ongoing project
• Must understand the preambles and conditions of contract - FIDIC, SMM and JCT.
• Must understand the various types of contracts - Fixed, Fluctuating, All-inclusive, etc.
• Must understand site materials inventory management and control.
• Must have good understanding of how to perform cost control analysis, and draw up reports on changes to work and contractor's claims.

• Degree in Civil Engineering; Master's Degree is a plus.
• B.Eng Civil Engineering Professional Certification: COREN (Registered member)
• Minimum of 4 years work experience in a similar position
• Experience in road construction would be an added advantage.
• Design consultation & Development Construction Administration & Inspection Project management.
• Quality take-offs analysis.
• International & National codes standards research and application.
• Knowledgeable in structural modeling (IT Tools).
• Highly proficient in the use of the following: Microsoft Office (MS Word, Excel, MS Project & Outlook) AutoCad, AutoCad MEP, PDMS Design Software (Primavera Project Planner).
• Good command of Language. English Language (Oral & Written).
