    Clerk of Works

    ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Assists the Project Manager in executing and completing the project;
    • Oversees the quality of work and safety of construction;
    •  Ensures conformity of construction to approved designs and specifications;
    •   Liaises with vendors to confirm payment of materials, verifies the quality of materials on and off site as well as monitors the installation of materials and equipment on site;
    •  Carries out quality checks on building and construction materials to ensure compliance with project standards;
    •  Identifies defects, suggest remediation and escalate when in doubt;
    • Interfaces with various stakeholders during the project including artisans and site engineers to ensure compliance with project standards and specifications;
    •   Sends daily updates from the site, using company's report template.
    •  Attends and/or organizes regular site meetings with all vendors and publishes minutes of such meeting;
    •  Any other task/duty that may be assigned

    KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS:

    • Knowledge of the Construction Industry
    • Knowledge of building materials and procurement.

    Site Supervisor

    ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Ensure that civil works are safely executed to the required project drawings and specifications.
    • Ensure project QA / QC (quality assurance and quality control) measures are met.
    • Ensure that materials for construction are of the required quality.
    • Keeping track of materials and ordering more when required.
    • Review and inspect concrete mix designs for concrete trial mixes.
    • Assist in developing checklist for site works and laboratory testing activities.
    • Review of contractor's project deliverables e.g. ITP, Work Method Statement, QA / QC Plan, etc.
    • Perform site and laboratory inspection / supervision for concrete cube preparation and workability test.
    • Perform site and laboratory inspection / supervision for classification and strength test for road subgrade, sub-base and base material.
    • Verify calibration status of third-party laboratory testing devices and equipment.
    • Assist in developing concrete track register for all concrete compressive strength tests results.
    • Report Non-conformances (NCR) to job standard and specifications and ensure any observed NCR reports are promptly closed out.
    • Compile punch list items and ensure prompt close out before final hand over of facility to asset owner.
    • Verify that necessary documentation are completed before site mobilization.
    • Ensure that valid PTW is available and validated for the job daily.
    • Verify contractor's equipment mobilized to site are those pre-mobbed before use on site
    • Prepare daily report of the project status with details of personnel, material and equipment on site.
    • Review / updating of WBS in line with work progress.
    • Analyze data / information generated on completed projects as a basis for improvement on future jobs                                                                                                                                         

       JOB REQUIREMENTS

    • Bachelor’s degree in civil or structural engineering, construction, building, or related field
    • State-issued certification or engineering license
    • Considerable experience in a similar position
    • In-depth knowledge of engineering, technology, building, construction, and design
    • Proficient in the use of computer-aided design (CAD) software
    • Familiar with scientific analysis software as well as graphics and map creation software
    • Proven track record of managing personnel and material resources
    • Exemplary critical thinking, analytical, and complex problem-solving skills
    • Strong time management and project management skills
    • Active listening and verbal communication skills
    • Ability to use the scientific process to solve problems

    Quantity Supervisor

    ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Preparing Bill of Quantities for each project
    • Preparing reports, analyses, contracts, budgets, risk assessment, and other documents.
    • Reviewing construction plans and preparing quantity requirements.
    • Scrutinizing maintenance and material costs, as well as contracts to ensure the best deals.
    • Liaising with site managers, clients, contractors, and subcontractors.
    • Advising managers and clients on improvements and new strategies.
    • Ensuring that expenses are within outline budget or B.O.Q
    • Documenting any changes in design and updating budgets.
    • Establishing and maintaining professional relationships with external and internal stakeholders.
    • Traveling from the office to various sites as required. 

     JOB REQUIREMENTS

    • Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Engineering, Management, or similar.
    • Construction estimating or finance experienced is advantageous.
    • Should possess 2-5 years’ work experience
    • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
    • Sound knowledge of construction.
    • Ability to organize, plan, and strategize.

    Land Surveyor

    ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Prepare and maintain sketches, maps, reports and legal descriptions of survey in order to describe, certify and assume liability for work  performed
    • Verify the accuracy of survey data including measurements and   calculations conducted at the survey sites
    • Direct or conduct surveys in order to establish legal boundaries for  properties based on legal deeds and titles
    • Record the results of surveys including the shape, contour, location,  elevation and dimensions of land or land features
    • Calculate heights, depths, relative positions, property line and other  characteristics of terrain
    • Prepare or supervise preparation of all data, charts, plots, maps, records and document related survey
    • Write description of property boundary surveys for use in deed, leases  or other legal documents
    • Plan and conduct ground surveys designed to establish baselines, elevations and other geodetics measurements
    • Search legal record, survey record and land titles in other to obtain   information about property boundaries in areas to be surveyed
    • Coordinate findings with the work of engineering and architectural  personnel, clients and others concerned with projects
    • Adjust surveying instruments in other to maintain their accuracy                                                                                                                                                                                         

      JOB REQUIREMENTS

    • Bachelor's Degree in Land Surveying, Surveying and Geo-informatics, Geography, Geo-technology, Planning, Building or related discipline.
    • A minimum of 3-5 years cognate experience in construction.
    • Proficiency in the use of HD laser scanners.
    • Excellent interpersonal skill and team spirit.
    • Excellent presentation and communication skill
    • Ability to complete survey projects in AutoCAD meeting specifications
    • Ability to deliver large scale topographic surveys and measured building surveys.

    Design Architect

    ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    •  Development of design briefs  and
    •  Gathering the necessary measurements, dimensions, and other routine calculations for generating  design layouts
    •  Providing management with suitable design recommendations based on factors such as budget, the building site, and recent trends.
    • Using CAD software and manual drawing techniques to produce architectural plans, working drawings/details for management and client approval.
    •   Preparation of presentation drawings    

    • Reworking and modifying designs based on comments and reviews from management.

    •  Providing management with estimates on cost, time, machinery, construction, and other specifications.

    •  Interacting with other Architects and Designers to exchange ideas and provide support.

    • Ensuring all vital information and documentation is recorded and maintained.

    • Conducting research and attending workshops and conferences to remain up-to-date with the latest design trends.

    •  Ensuring that all layouts and blueprints are compliant with industry codes and legal standards.                                                                                                                                               

    JOB REQUIREMENTS

    • Minimum - Bachelor's Degree in Architecture.
    • Attach portfolio of completed designs.Good mathematics skill.
    • Minimum 3-5 years proven experience
    • Excellent technical skills, particularly with CAD software.
    • Strong creative design and time management skill

    Construction Manager

    ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    ·         Reports to the project manager

    • Planning and coordination of all construction activities on site.
    • Preparation of internal and external reports
    • Detailed project review to ensure compliance with the planned work results / objectives
    • Coordination/liaison and support for international and local staff, as well as sub-contractors
    • Work preparation (personnel, equipment, tools, materials), scheduling and tracking of developments and costs
    • Responsible for the implementation of HSE and QA / QC plans (risk analyses)
    • Handling and mitigation of possible risks, particularly with regard to safety.

    JOB REQUIREMENTS

    Candidate should possess a Bachelor or Master Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or other related discipline.

    Candidate must have proven working experience in the construction industry

    • Proficient in the use of MS Office, MS Project, AutoCAD, Civil3D and other common software in infrastructural design
    • Demonstrates excellent professional interpersonal and communication skills
