    Business Development Officer

    Job Description

    • The Business Development Officer at Mitera Health HMO will be instrumental in driving growth by identifying new market opportunities, building strategic partnerships, and expanding our member base.
    • This role involves developing and executing strategies to introduce Mitera Health's innovative health-tech-insurance solutions to new corporate clients, individual members, and healthcare providers, fostering sustainable business expansion.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Identify, research, and evaluate new business opportunities and target markets for Mitera Health HMO's services and products.
    • Develop and implement strategic business development plans to achieve growth targets and expand market share.
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with potential clients (e.g., corporations, SMEs), brokers, and healthcare providers.
    • Conduct presentations and demonstrations of Mitera Health's Mapp mobile application and health plans to prospective clients.
    • Negotiate and close new business deals, ensuring favorable terms and alignment with company objectives.
    • Collaborate closely with the Marketing, Underwriting, and Operations teams to develop tailored solutions and ensure smooth onboarding of new clients and members.
    • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes to identify challenges and opportunities. • Prepare detailed proposals, reports, and sales forecasts for management.
    • Represent Mitera Health HMO at industry events, conferences, and networking functions.
    • Contribute to the continuous improvement of sales processes and customer acquisition strategies.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Economics, or a related f ield. An MBA is a plus.
    • Proven experience (3-5 years) in business development, sales, or account management, with a strong track record of achieving targets. Experience in the healthcare, insurance, or health-tech sectors is highly desirable.
    • Excellent understanding of sales principles, negotiation tactics, and customer relationship management.
    • Strong analytical skills to identify market trends and evaluate business opportunities.
    • Exceptional presentation, communication (verbal and written), and interpersonal skills.
    • Self-motivated, results-driven, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
    • Proficiency in CRM software and business intelligence tools.
    • Ability to travel as required for client meetings and industry events.

    Finance Officer

    Job Summary

    • The Finance Officer at Mitera Health HMO will be responsible for managing the organization's financial operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency.
    • This role involves maintaining financial records, preparing reports, assisting with budgeting, and ensuring the smooth flow of funds within the HMO, particularly related to premium collection, claims payments, and provider settlements.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely processing of invoices, premium collections, and reconciliation of statements.
    • Prepare and process payments to healthcare providers, vendors, and other payees in accordance with established agreements and policies.
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, ledgers, and journals.
    • Assist in the preparation of financial statements, budgets, and forecasts.
    • Conduct financial analysis to support decision-making and identify areas for cost optimization.
    • Reconcile bank statements and various financial accounts regularly.
    • Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations, tax laws, and internal policies.
    • Process and verify claims payments, collaborating with the Claims and Underwriting teams to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
    • Prepare financial reports for management, auditors, and regulatory bodies.
    • Assist with internal and external audits by providing necessary financial documentation and explanations.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Professional certification (e.g., ACCA, ACA, CPA) is a strong advantage.
    • Proven experience (3-5 years) in a finance role, with demonstrated experience in accounts payable, receivable, and financial reporting.
    • Experience in the healthcare or insurance sector is highly preferred.
    • Strong understanding of accounting principles (GAAP/IFRS) and financial regulations.
    • Proficiency in accounting software and financial management systems.
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Strong ethical conduct and commitment to financial integrity.
