Duties and Responsibilities

• Ensuring that production processes are in line with company and regulatory requirements
• Accurately completing all necessary documentation for regulatory compliance
• Informing a production team of preferred occupational health and safety practices
• Communicating expectations to production team members and evaluating their performance
• Implementing relevant emergency response procedures during emergency situations
• Regularly checking the machinery and checkpoints to ensure safe and efficient workflow
• Compiling reports about production and providing management with updates
• Managing the repair or replacement of faulty production equipment
• Ensuring all resources and assets are used efficiently and correctly

Requirements

• First degree in chemical engineering or related field at least 5 years working experience (experience in textile industry an added advantage)
• Knowledge of BCF/FDY is a plus
• Basic computer skills
• Attention to detail

Job Description

• Responsible for all maintenance activities of carding machine including but not limited to cleaning, preventative maintenance, corrective maintenance, equipment repairs, and installations to minimize downtime.
• Maintain Carding Machines to minimize production interruptions.
• Assist the shift Supervisor in evaluating the performance of the Carding Machines.
• Coordinate training of employees to ensure quality and production standards are achieved.

Requirements

• 4 years experience as carding mechanic
• Experience in manufacturing company an added advantage.
