    Design, Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning (DMEAL) Specialist

    Job Summary: We're seeking an experienced DMEAL Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in designing, monitoring, evaluating, and learning from development programs. You will be responsible for ensuring the quality and effectiveness of our programs, as well as developing and implementing new systems and processes to support our work.

    Responsibilities:

    • Follow all project’s Log-frame and monitoring and evaluation documentation.
    • Participate in project kick-off, review, and close-out meetings, as well as learning events and workshops in order to highlight cross-project components aimed at replicating good practices and strengthening synergies between projects or programs.
    • Share relevant MEAL findings with project teams in an appropriate format and follow-up their implementation.
    • Ensure the design and management of evaluations, including: the coordination of field-based data collection activities, review of evaluations reports, sharing of evaluation findings and recommendations with intended audiences.
    • Ensure transparent, accurate and timely collection of data by administering surveys, conducting reviews, and employing diverse and participatory data collection activities while working with relevant country representatives to collect such data.
    • Undertake evaluation of programs through field visits, studies and a range of data collection methodologies.
    • Coordinate and carry out data entering and data analysis, for both quantitative and qualitative data collected.
    • Facilitate learning processes to identify gaps and contribute to ongoing improvement of projects, while working closely and communicating results to programme teams and management.
    • Carry out specific background research providing comprehensive and useful information for the design of new programmes.
    • Elaboration of reports, including progress reports and activity reports, for  project donors. 
    • Ensure full compliance to MEAL standards of the projects implemented in the area of responsibility.
    • Act as the focal point for the implementation and monitoring of community feedback mechanisms for projects implemented directly by Free To Be Me and/or by its implementing partners in the area of responsibility.

    Qualifications:

    • Graduate level education in statistics, social sciences/humanities, development, public administration or related relevant disciplines.
    • 3-5 years of demonstrated experiences related to monitoring, evaluation, accountability and/or learning.
    • Minimum of 3 years of relevant working experience on LGBTIQ+ issues, and/or in the humanitarian sector with NGOs.
    • Proficiency in tools, techniques and processes of database creation, data management and administration.
    • Proficiency in data analysis software packages (e.g. SPSS,Nvivo, EPI info, Access, KOBO and others).
    • Progressive and positive view on LGBTIQ+ rights and inclusion, sees inclusion of LGBTIQ+ people from an intersectional perspective and understands how exclusion works for a range of groups marginalized in their country's context
    • Have expertise in and a passion for working on LGBTIQ+ inclusion and rights, for example through advocacy.
    • Ability to organize, identify opportunities and coordinate initiatives.
    • Have a flexible and adaptable approach and be able to respond to changing priorities and in a rapidly evolving environment.
    • Ability to travel within and outside Nigeria
    • Demonstrated experience and knowledge of participatory approaches to research, monitoring, evaluation and learning.

    Benefits:

    Salary Range: 250,000 - 300,000

    Security and Safety Focal Person

    Job Description:

    We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced security and safety focal person to join our team. As a Security and Safety Focal Person, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining the company's security and safety programs to ensure the safety and protection of our employees, assets, and reputation.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Lead risk assessments and maintain the risk register
    • Ensure Road Traffic Safety policy and procedures are properly implemented and adhered to.
    • Support the program team with program design, safety and security budgets, information on access, and safety assessments
    • Provide advice on budgeting for operational safety & security related expenditures.
    • Supervise the procurement of equipment related to safety & security upgrades and training.
    • Perform incident analysis and investigation relative to all incidents with advice and closure to all responsible functional management and supporting security management.
    • Draft, edit and distribute routine security updates.
    • Monthly and quarterly checks and report drafting as outlined.
    • Ensure that safety & security is always an agenda item at staff meetings.
    • Maintain a database on contact details in relation to national country security authorities.
    • Coordinate safety and security among different organizations and groups that participate in the CoAs.Regularly. 

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Political/Social Sciences, International Relations or relevant degree or comparable work experience, and academic level of working and thinking.
    • Ability to teach basic personal safety and security.
    • Minimum of 3 to 5 years of relevant working experience on Safety and Security, and/or in working with young people, and/or in programme design, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation.
    • Training in the fields of management, safety & security, law and enforcement experience will be an added advantage.
    • Experience with or an appetite for working in international teams.
    • Expertise in developing security-related technical tools guidelines and systems, IT security management skills would be considered an asset.

    Community of Action Facilitator

    Job Summary:

    We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Community of Action Facilitator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for working with diverse communities to organize and facilitate collective action around a common cause.

    Responsibilities:

    • Brings together organizations in a Community of Action (CoA). Seeks input, support and active collaboration and participation of consortium members.
    • Creates a safe and inspiring space for organizations to share their plans, ideas, expertise and fears in the CoA.
    • Facilitate CoA-organizations to jointly localize the Free to be Me Theory of Change (ToC).
    • Facilitate and support local organizations in the development of their organizational or joint LGBTIQ+ advocacy and capacity strengthening plans,which contribute to the fulfillment of the ToC.
    • Contribute to the design of the overarching Free to be Me planning and processes, and particularly to the design of innovative elements of the program.
    • Participate in a network with other CoA facilitators for exchange, mutual learning and sharing. 
    • Organize and stimulate CoA-meetings, both ‘closed’ meetings where only organizations financially supported by the program participate, as well as ‘open’ meetings where other organizations (that bring specific expertise, knowledge, innovation, inspiration) are invited.
    • Supports the realization and facilitation of capacity strengthening and linking & learning activities.
    • Ensure a smooth exchange of information as well as collaboration between CoA- members as well as with CoA-members, consortium members and other actors, such as for example the Dutch embassy.
    • Relate progress to the overarching Free to be Me plans.
    • Actively contributes to and supports activities at the national and regional level, such as research, advocacy campaigns, learning events, etc
    • Contribute to reflection and learning on both the national and regional level, as well as on the wider programmatic level.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., community development, social work, public policy) or equivalent experience. 
    • Expertise in and a passion for working on LGBTIQ+ inclusion and rights, for example through advocacy.
    • Progressive and positive view on LGBTIQ+ rights and inclusion, sees inclusion of LGBTIQ+ people from an intersectional perspective and understands how exclusion works for a range of groups marginalized in their country's context.
    • Believes in Free to be Me values and is accountable to them.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 
    • Experience working with diverse communities and marginalized groups. 
    • Minimum of three to five years of relevant working experience on LGBTIQ+ issues, and/or in program design, implementation, monitoring and evaluation.
    • Experience with or an interest in working in international teams.
    • Full professional proficiency in English and language(s) relevant in the respective country context.

    Benefit
