    Specialist, Diesel Operations & Logistics

    Job Purpose

    Assist the Manager, Diesel Operations & Logistics in ensuring effective and efficient diesel refueling and generating timely diesel supply reports. 

    Key Roles & Responsibilities

    • Coordinate daily and ongoing logistics related to diesel loading per assigned region(s). 
    • Maintain contact with haulage vendors and/ or Site-Build Contractors (SBCs) to ensure diesel delivery is carried out and achieved on time as per allocation file. 
    • Send list of trucks scheduled for loading to depots on time. 
    • Accurately analyze and monitor monthly SBC allocation, ensuring loading is in accordance with the latest review/ file. 
    • Build and update the tracker for analyzing, monitoring and maintaining daily stock. 
    • Deliver monthly stock costing and management reports as required. 
    • Send Requests for Quotation (RFQs) to vendors for end-to-end/ non-truckable diesel supplies. 
    • Batch waybills to purchase orders (POs) for accurate invoicing. 
    • Ensure zero stock loss. 
    • Ensure zero outstanding invoices within 24 hours of receipt. 
    • Achieve 100% data integrity for all reports. 
    • Collate and report daily depot prices across regions. 
    • Track, rate and report diesel haulage vendors’ performance for the attention of the Manager, Diesel Operations & Logistics. 
    • Collate and report major field incidences per supply cycle. 
    • Ensure all stand-by truck requests from assigned regions are actioned and made available within stipulated Service Level Agreements (SLAs). 
    • Perform other tasks and duties as assigned by the Manager, Diesel Operations & Logistics.

    Senior Manager, Field Control & Network Services

    Job Purpose

    Ensure technical audits are executed across all operational sites to identify, report, and resolve active and passive faults. 

    Key Responsibilities

    • Develop and guide implementation of the work unit’s strategies, providing leadership and direction in setting routine and non-routine schedules for team-members and ensuring ongoing evaluation of reports, policies, processes, and work procedures. 
    • Provide inputs for the function’s budgeting and control activities. 
    • Collaborate with Operations, key customers, and customers’ active infrastructure vendors on initiatives to drive improvements in network performance. 
    • Trigger reviews of diesel allocation schedules across affected sites to eliminate waste. 
    • Lead continuous search for improved alternatives to boost service delivery and efficiency to customers, including proper load dimensioning and authentication per customer. 
    • Develop operational roadmap and long-term plan for the team, covering site audits, territorial uplifts, and network performance. 
    • Review and approve reports on all audited/ retrofitted sites within the company’s tower portfolio. 
    • Lead execution of special projects assigned to the team in relation to performance improvement initiatives. 
    • Ensure continuous improvement of processes and procedures to foster efficiency and optimal service delivery to customers. 
    • Develop and sustain a knowledge transfer program within the team. 
    • Oversee effective management of all second-level site performance issues. 
    • Work with leaders of other accountable teams across the business to effectively manage and address issues which may interfere with completion of projects and tasks assigned to the team, including but not limited to communal unrest, security and movement restrictions, crime (vandalism, theft), regulatory concerns, strike actions, fraud, etc. 
    • Promote communication among colleagues to drive information flow and curb problems that may arise. 
    • Prepare and submit reports to the Director, Business Decision Support. 
    • Manage relationships with partners and vendors.

    • Minimum of +14 years’ experience in the telecoms industry with demonstrable network operations, quality assurance, technical audit, and vendor management experience.

    Support the Director, Technical Quality Management & Organizational Performance and Chief Technical Officer (CTO) in governance and performance monitoring, coordinating the development of functional strategic plans and overseeing the drive towards process excellence across the technical function.

    Team Leader, Renewal Process & Documentation

    Job Description

    • Manage the site lease database, ensuring quality data inputs to the Lease Database Management System (LDMS).
    • Ensure timely renewal of all leases to mitigate risk exposures of the business that may result from expired leases.
    • Ensure negotiators make lease payments to landlords and that documentation for such leases is complete and repatriated to the appropriate site file(s) on time.
    • Identify, escalate and resolve potential bottlenecks in the renewal process to reduce turnaround time (TAT) in renewal process.
    • Serve as point of contact with Real Estate consultants, providing support to queries, direction within limit, and guidance on use of the LDMS.
    • Perform integrity checks on the LDMS to ensure data accuracy and quality of information.
    • Generate monthly performance measurement dashboard for consultants based on set Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
    • Prepare timely ad hoc reports on site lease information as may be required.
    • Attend to internal escalations and provide updates on access issues that may result from lease renewals.
    • Collaborate with key internal stakeholders such as Treasury (Finance) to ensure payment of consultants and lessors within projected timelines.
    • Process consultants’ invoices on time for internal approval
    • Perform other tasks and duties as assigned by the Senior Manager, Land Lease.
