    Area Sales Lead

    Role Summary

    Husk is seeking an Area Sales Lead to join the growing team in Nigeria. The ideal candidate will play an integral role in driving power sales and ensuring optimum revenue generation across our various mini-grid sites. We are looking for someone who has experience within the Nigerian context and understands the sales dynamics in rural environments.

    The individual should also be passionate about contributing to solving one of Nigeria’s most critical challenges – the energy access deficit. 

    Key responsibilities:

    General

    • Manage site sales agents and other field representatives to coordinate and drive field sales activities.
    • Present, promote and sell products/services using solid arguments to existing and prospective customers.
    • Achieve agreed upon sales targets and outcomes within schedule.
    • Coordinate sales effort with team members and other relevant business units.
    • Keep abreast of best practices and sales trends
    • Other duties as assigned

    Sales Management

    • Drive sales activities across all mini-grid locations, in line with sales targets and overall business strategy
    • Expedite the resolution of customer issues and complaints to ensure customer satisfaction.
    • Leverage sales data to understand customer behaviour, trends, and patterns for driving sales.

    Sales Reporting and Data Management

    • Ensure prompt and accurate reporting of activities from all site sales agents.
    • Ensure a clear understanding of the sales potential of locations under management, track sales, and provide status reports on a timely basis.

    Stakeholder Engagement

    • Maintain regular communication, and develop positive and productive relationships with various stakeholders, community leaders, customer/client groups, etc.

    Required Skills and Competencies

    • Graduate from a leading institution with a related degree in science, engineering, or social sciences. Graduate degree or relevant training or certifications in sales; a plus.
    •  3-5 years of experience in a similar role within the power or telecommunications sectors, delivering on sales targets and revenue growth.
    • Ability to drive sales and ensure closure for optimal service delivery.
    • Excellent skills with MS Office.
    • Superb interpersonal skills, including the ability to quickly build rapport with customers, site sales agents, and representatives.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-diverse environment coordinating with multiple stakeholders.
    • Responsive with great time management and organizational skills

    Service Engineer

    Role Summary

    Husk is seeking a Service Engineer who will be responsible for all plant Operations and Maintenance for these plants and report to the Operations and Maintenance Manager. The individual must have a measure of technical competency with an understanding of electrical engineering, ensuring safety and environmental inspections and preventive maintenance within Husk Power Plants.

    This position provides the opportunity to join a growing team that is changing the face of rural electrification in Nigeria and India.

    Key responsibilities:

    General

    • Daily Monitoring of HMGs at Meters and System Portal.
    • Ensure smooth operation of plants and meters.
    • Initiate tickets to OEMs and follow up for early rectification.
    • Maintain event log at HMG plants.
    • Health Check-up and Maintenance of Plants.
    • Train site electricians on the operation and maintenance of the system.
    • Resolve Customer issues as per SOP.
    • Ensure New Customer Connections on time as per SOP.
    • Monitor and control the Diesel consumption of Generators.
    • Spares planning & avoid shortage of spares & consumables.
    • Diesel Engine Overhauling, maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting of Mechanical & and electrical problems.

    Plant Operations

    • Play a key role as a member of the Mini-Grids Operations and Maintenance team to plan and monitor the day-to-day running of the plants to ensure smooth progress.
    • Understand and manage sites’ performance to key performance metrics.

    Asset Management

    • Ensures completion of technical documents; grid outages, onsite equipment problems, log entries, site visitation; and safety and environmental inspections.
    • Maintain daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly equipment healthiness checklist; Preventive maintenance planning; Shutdown planning; Daily reading logbook, etc.

    Great Career Progression Opportunity

    • Successful Service Engineers have the potential to progress to an Area Service Manager and a senior management role with greater responsibility and compensation within 36-48 months.

    Required Skills & Attributes

    • You have a technical background with an understanding of electrical engineering (minimum education requirement: Diploma in Engineering)
    • You have 5+ years of experience (Infrastructure and Telecom industries preferred)
    • You have 2+ years of experience managing a team of 5+ people.
    • You have a learning mindset and are keen to deliver hands-on solutions in the field.
    • You are a problem solver and can identify issues and possible solutions swiftly.
    • You can also ideally execute based on direct instruction and under guidance from other members of the team.

    Customer Engagement Associate

    Role Summary

    Husk is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Customer Relationship Officer, to join the growing team in Nigeria. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing all customer complaints and inquiries, providing communication to customers on services, improving customer relationships and retention. This role requires a combination of technical expertise, complaints management, and excellent communication skills to effectively engage with customers, understand their needs, and provide tailored solutions. You need to be a team player and have a problem-solving attitude.

    Key Responsibilities

    General

    • Manage all customer complaints and inquiries.
    • Carry out survey calls on NPS, VOC, and CSAT to aid organizational decision-making.
    • Ability to use CRM tools to track customer journeys.
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and new clients through regular communication.
    • Collaborate with technical and sales teams to address customer inquiries, resolve complaints, and provide value-added support.
    • Stay informed about industry trends, market developments, and competitor activities to identify opportunities for business growth.
    • Prepare and submit accurate reports on surveys and other customer engagement activities.
    • Coordinate with the marketing team to develop promotional materials, campaigns, and initiatives to improve customer retention.
    • Continuously strive to enhance product knowledge, sales techniques, and professional skills through training and self-development activities.

    Salary: 

    Negotiable based on Experience 

    Location and Travel

    • This role is based in Abuja, Nigeria
    • Would be required to work from minigrid locations often; and not May be required to travel often to visit sites.

    Required Skills & Attributes

    • Minimum of a BSC/HND in Arts, Social Sciences, and another related field preferred.
    • Proven track record of success in customer service or contact center operations
    • High proficiency in Hausa and English Language 
    • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
    • Exceptional negotiation, persuasion, and interpersonal skills.
    • Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
    • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines.
      Willingness to travel frequently within the assigned territory.
