Job Summary

• The Logistics Manager is responsible for ensuring the availability of the required materials for the plant, in the right quality and quantity.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Take ownership of shipping & transportation and logistics arrangements for all procurement activities 
• Management of third-party logistics service providers.
• Possess good knowledge of the INCOTERMS and explore the most suitable for every transaction.
• Good understanding of industry limitations and regulations.
• Develop new strategies to streamline processes and reduce costs.
• Execute logistics plan for inbound and outbound spares for delivery to the destination as scheduled.
• Assess and recommend ideal shipping methods, routing or carriers to meet necessary parameters, specifications and costs.
• Perform metrics reporting and data analysis tasks to identify issues and opportunities for process improvements.
• Ensure optimum cost savings on all logistics-related activities by providing and exploring available tax exemption windows.
• Liaise with the relevant authorities for import and other statutory clearances required for procurement and imports.
• Evaluate proposals from various freight forwarders to ascertain the most competitive and reliable means of importations and clearance.
• Develop and maintain good relationships with customs, shipping/logistics agents and port authorities.
• Assist in the automation and integration of the supply chain function.
• Coordination with transporters and freight agents for the timely delivery of goods.
• Prompt processing of permits for clearance of Imported Consignment and payment of duties and taxes. 
• Implement data protection policies and practices of Egbin Power Plc.
• Ensure compliance with the NDPR and other relevant data protection laws and policies.
• Undertake a Data Protection Impact Assessment as applicable to curb the risk during data processing operations.
• Ensure awareness, understanding and application of QHSE policy and application of departmental objectives.
• Ensure awareness of the Integrated Management System (ISO 9001:2015, 14001:2015 &45001:2018) and implications of not conforming with the requirements.
• Understand and identify hazards, risks, environmental aspects and Impact as it is related to their jobs.

Education and Work Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Logistics, Business Administration, Transportation, or Engineering.
• Post-graduate degree in logistics, supply chain or any relevant field will be an added advantage.
• Minimum of seven (7) years of experience working in logistics, warehouse, or transportation operations.

Description

• The Head of Internal Audit will oversee the reports to the Audit Committee and senior management, which address key business risks and control issues within the Company.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Identify and escalate strategic implications to the organization from audit engagement findings.
• Evaluate that significant risk exposures and control issues, including fraud risk and governance issues are covered in the final engagement communication.
• Communicate objectively audit engagement results to senior management and board members.
• Review the quality of business process analysis and process improvement recommendations.
• Evaluate implications of process design improvement recommendations on organisation's strategic objectives
• Assess whether the risk management and internal control systems are operational as intended.
• Review the completeness of management’s risk analysis and actions taken to remedy issues raised by risk management processes and suggest improvements.
• Evaluate risk exposures relating to the organisation’s governance, operations, and information systems.
• Communicate with senior management and Board on risk-related issues that may indicate weakness in risk management practices.
• Facilitate review of strategic and business risk issues and assess risk governance framework.

Education and Work Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or any relevant course.
• Postgraduate qualifications and professional certification are required.
• Relevant professional certification (e.g. CIA, ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CFA) is a must-have.
• Minimum of ten (10) years relevant work experience.

Skills and Competencies:

• Excellent understanding of the standards of the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) and ability to fully comply with IIA standards.
• Ability to manage projects and, when required, supervise auditors to follow sound internal control practices and to manage risks appropriately.
• Strong skills in negotiating, relationship building, problem-solving, and timely problem escalation.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) designation is preferred.

• The Project Engineer is responsible for providing engineering and technical leadership throughout the planning and execution of multidisciplinary projects. The role coordinates project activities, establishes milestones, manages project schedules, and ensures the effective integration of all engineering elements required for successful project delivery.
• The role also oversees stakeholder engagement across all levels and supports effective project governance through budget management, resource and personnel planning, scheduling, progress monitoring, forecasting, reporting, and documentation management.

Job Summary

• The Lead Engineer, Turbine Controls, is responsible for overseeing preventive, corrective, and breakdown maintenance of turbine systems

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Ensure adherence to breakdown/corrective maintenance schedule.
• Must be conversant with Emerson Ovation control and knowledge on Bentley Nevada vibration system.
• Ensure all preventive maintenances are duly carried out and documented accordingly. 
• Develop and improve breakdown/corrective maintenance culture.
• Ensures all breakdown/corrective maintenances are duly carried out and documented.
• Reviews weekly all breakdown/corrective maintenance processes.
• Monitor the timely closure of maintenance tasks (TMs) in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
• Liaise with Lead Engineer Turbine field instrumentation to re – assess breakdowns of equipment for preventive maintenance schedule.
• Addresses issues bordering on human resources and personnel issues and escalates it upward if not addressed for further action where necessary.
• Ensures all monthly reports are duly done.
• Ensures all special reports are duly done and documented. 
• Periodically assess all staff under him for training needs for optimal performance. 
• Ensures availability of material and tools required for the job.
• Supervise control systems with a focus on both efficiency and environmental sustainability.
• Ensures HSE guidelines are adhered to strictly during and on the job.
• Develop plant patrol and monitoring check sheet and to be reviewed periodically as determined. 
• Provide support in spare parts planning, budget planning, purchase, and inspection activities. 
• Execute documentation according to Integrated Management System (IMS) standards.
• Implements strategies that improves performance and reliability.
• Ensures all risk registers for breakdown/corrective maintenances and the section are kept and reviewed periodically.
• Perform covering role in the absence of the Unit Head, Turbine Systems
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Unit Head, Turbine Systems, or Head of Department
• Oversee operation of the Turbine and Boiler, during shift duties
• Coordinate Physical inspection /condition monitoring of equipment in the turbine and boiler sections of the plant
• Oversee minor adjustments/repairs as required
• Plan resource requirements during shift duties –manpower and operations materials
• Unit manpower utilization and allocation during shift duties
• Coordination with other team leads for ensuring efficient plant operations.

Education and Work Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree or its equivalent in Computer /  Electrical / Mechanical / Chemical or Systems Engineering
• Postgraduate /relevant professional qualification 
• 5 -10 years of work experience with at least three (3) years in a supervisory level and direct exposure to I&C systems and power plant maintenance processes.

Skills and Competencies:

• Good Technical knowledge and understanding of operations and history of I&C systems.
• Sound Technical Trouble shooting skills. 
• Good knowledge of computerized Maintenance Management system or equivalent.
• Good Knowledge in technical discipline.
