Job Summary

BioRapid Diagnostics Nigeria Limited is seeking a competent and dedicated Medical Laboratory Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will support laboratory operations by collecting, processing, and analyzing specimens while ensuring adherence to quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Collect, prepare, and process patient specimens for laboratory analysis.
• Perform routine laboratory tests in accordance with established procedures.
• Operate, clean, and maintain laboratory equipment and instruments.
• Prepare reagents and ensure proper storage of laboratory consumables.
• Maintain accurate laboratory records and documentation.
• Observe quality control procedures and laboratory safety guidelines.
• Report equipment malfunctions and assist with troubleshooting.
• Support Medical Laboratory Scientists in delivering accurate and timely diagnostic services.

Requirements

• Diploma or National Diploma (ND) in Medical Laboratory Technician or a related field from a recognized institution.
• Valid practising licence (where applicable).
• Minimum of 1–3 years of relevant experience in a medical laboratory or healthcare facility.
• Good understanding of laboratory procedures, biosafety, and quality assurance practices.
• Ability to operate basic laboratory equipment and instruments.
• Good communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is an added advantage.
• Applicants must reside within Karu, Kurudu, Jikwoyi, Nyanya, Mararaba, Masaka, Orozo, or Karshi axis.

The successful candidate will be responsible for performing laboratory analyses, maintaining quality standards, and supporting the delivery of accurate and timely diagnostic services.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine and specialized laboratory investigations in accordance with established procedures.
• Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory equipment and analyzers.
• Ensure accurate documentation and timely reporting of laboratory results.

• Maintain proper handling, storage, and disposal of laboratory specimens and reagents.
• Ensure compliance with laboratory safety and infection prevention standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor\'s Degree in Medical Laboratory Science (B.MLS).
• Current practicing licence issued by the Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria (MLSCN).
• Minimum of 1–3 years post-qualification experience in a medical laboratory or healthcare facility (experience in diagnostics is an added advantage).
• Sound knowledge of laboratory quality management systems.
• Ability to operate modern laboratory equipment and diagnostic analyzers.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work both independently and within a team.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
