The Communications Senior Specialist – Sub-Saharan Africa Regional Performance supports the execution and delivery of Brand, Marketing & Communications (BMEC) priorities across the Sub-Saharan Africa region. Reporting to the Communications Manager – Middle East & Africa.
The role is responsible for activating integrated marketing and communications plans at market and campaign level, ensuring consistent application of global strategies while enabling effective localization.
The role partners closely with regional commercial teams, segment partners, and BMEC CoE disciplines to deliver high‑impact campaigns, product and technology launches, executive engagements, and employee communications that support regional growth priorities and strengthen brand performance across Sub-Saharan Africa.
As a SSA Communications Senior Specialist you will:
Regional know-how & acumen
- Support the execution of regional marketing and communications plans aligned to Sub-Saharan Africa commercial and growth priorities
- Act as a day‑to‑day communications partner to regional and country stakeholders, supporting alignment and delivery across priority markets
- Coordinate with the regional performance team to support planning, execution, and reporting processes
- Partner with GAPP to align strategic messaging, support policy position and ensure consistent stakeholder focused communications that supports business growth
Strategy activation and localization
- Support the rollout and activation of global and segment campaigns, ensuring relevance, localization, and timely delivery at regional and market level
- Coordinate development and deployment of content across owned, earned, and internal channels in partnership with CoE teams
- Support execution of product and solutions launches in Sub-Saharan Africa, working closely with segment, marketing, and commercial teams
- Ensure launch materials, messaging, and channels are aligned to regional customer needs and brand standards
- Execute employee communications and engagement initiatives across Sub-Saharan Africa in collaboration with internal communications teams
- Support regional change, leadership, and engagement campaigns to strengthen employee understanding and connection
- Lead country crisis communications, especially those focused on geopolitical developments and/or natural disasters, that impact employees and business continuity; and support business crisis communications in collaboration with business segment marcomms strategic partner
Executive Engagements & Events
- Support planning and execution of regional customer events, industry events, and executive engagements in collaboration with the events & experience and brand CoE
- Coordinate communications materials, messaging, and amplification plans to ensure events deliver measurable stakeholder value
Performance, Measurement and continuous improvement
- Track and report campaign and communications performance metrics at regional and market level
- Share insights, best practices, and learnings across Sub-Saharan Africa markets
- Extend support to the wider Middle East & Africa region for tier 1 activities that require additional support

To be successfull in this role, you will have:
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, brand, or business
- ~5 years of experience in B2B marketing and/or communications, preferably in a global or regional role
- Experience in industrial, energy, technology, or complex B2B environments
- English fluency and proficiency is mandatory, French and/or Portuguese are preferred

As the Security Manager- CAF/WAF, you will be responsible for Physical security and Security and Crisis Management (SCM) program for the protection of assets and employees. As a Security Manager- CAF/WAF, you will be responsible for:
- At the regional level, develop security ops plan to support Baker Hughes, manage security shared services process, respond to business-specific requests for support, liaison with regional government, and
conduct reviews as needed to validate security capacity.
- Contributing towards taking important decisions with business relevance or supporting business in making decisions understanding broader cross-functional implications.
- Ability to communicate high-level concepts to senior leadership. Frequent use of coaching and development of subordinates.

- Have 5 additional years of experience in a Regional Security Manager role.
- Experience managing work compliance matters, security issues, conflicts of interest, bribery and corruption allegations, controllership/books and records discrepancies.
- Demonstrate a solid network with national, state and local law enforcement, government regulatory agencies and private industrial security
- Be able to demonstrate relevant experience in Oil and Gas or Energy/Power industry
