    Details

    • Experience in outdoor, verbal marketing

    Van Sales Executive

    Locations: Onitsha, Owerri and Enugu

    Job Objective:

    Execute the sales and marketing plan for the assigned territory and deliver the monthly and annual sales targets.

    Core Deliverables:

    • Deliver the monthly sales targets.
    • Achieve availability of our products in wholesale and retail outlets that is at the same level of our main competitors.
    • Work with our dealers and retailers to activate our products at the point of sale.
    • Identify, create and execute opportunities with dealers/retailers to increase sell-in/sell-out.

    OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS

    • Execute the sales and marketing plan for the territory as agreed with the Area Sales Manager.
    • Develop strong relationships and close collaboration with all dealers.
    • Monitor dealers’ turnover and stocks on a weekly basis and ensure that our SKUs are available and that the dealers reach their monthly targets.
    • Develop and execute action plans in case the dealer falls behind on his/her monthly target.
    • Identify and recruit new customers, both, in wholesale and retail.
    • Remit all cash collected on behalf of the dealer to the dealer without fail.
    • Perform daily reconciliation of dealer stocks sold through redistribution.
    • Monitor and report activities of beverage competitors (trade and consumer pricing, promo schemes, new products, etc.).

    KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES

    • Proficiency in executing “Steps of the Call” and in building strong relationships with customers.
    • Information tracking, analysis and preparing for presentation.

    • HND/B.Sc. degree
    • Minimum 3 Years of Van Sales Experience
    • Good Driving skills with active driving licenses/permit and must have a good knowledge of the Nigeria roads

    Fire Station & Emergency Services Manager

    Ascentech Services Limited – Our client, a leading FMCG conglomerate, is currently looking to hire a proactive Fire Station & Emergency Services Manager to manage its fire station and coordinate its response to fire threats, potential hazards and emergency situations within and around the premises of the organization.   

    Job Description

    We are looking to hire a proactive Fire Station & Emergency Services Manager, who will be responsible for performing thorough fire investigations, determining preliminary causes of fire, securing the incident scenes and preserving evidences, evaluating information, understanding causes of fire and developing policies and procedures to prevent and/or totally eliminate fire incidences and occurrences.

    Duties

    • Have requisite knowledge to perform fire investigation,
    • Determine preliminary cause, securing the incident scene and preserving evidence, evaluate information, understand common causes of fire, fire growth and development, policies and procedures for calling investigators, supervise emergency operations,
    • Develop pre-incident plan, planning policies, procedures and forms, basic building construction, basic fire protection systems and features, basic water supply, fuel loading, write reports, able to verbally communicate,
    • Implement action plan, SOPs, safety of the facility, supervise and account for assigned personnel, conduct post-incident analysis, dispatch response tactics and operations and customer service.
    • Identify safety hazards, conduct job performance analysis of staff etc.

    Education / Experience / General Requirements:

    • B.Sc / HND in an Engineering field.
    • A certificate or qualification in Fire Safety from an accredited institution will be preferred.
    • Minimum 10 years post qualification experience.
    • Should have worked in large Industrial Facilities and have a clear criminal record.
    • Should have knowledge about chemical spills.
    • Prerequisite knowledge of Administrative, Financial, Communication, Political, Legal, Managerial, Analytical and Information Management is necessary.
    • Knowledge of local/State/ Federal regulations
    • Knowledge and command over relevant training resources, community needs, internal & external customers and policies and procedures.

    Skills:

    • Must be proficient in numeracy, have a good working knowledge of MS office.
    • Must maintain excellent relationship-building and interpersonal skills, possess good team-working skills,
    • Must have the ability to negotiate, demonstrate attention to detail and possess a methodical approach to work.
    • Should be guiding force for the zone in implementation of fire safety.

    Knowledge:

    • Be able to provide both summarized and detailed reports, on current activities.
    • IT Literate and able to use Microsoft Office
    • Demonstrable knowledge and experience in mitigation plans development, risk analysis, risk elimination, mitigation means etc.
    • Should have handled chemical spills, road mishaps, oil spills, road rescue, etc.
    • Should have requisite knowledge of disaster management and emergency situation handling.

    Abilities:

    • Must show proactive involvement in procurement, maintaining the assets of the Fire department in good working condition,
    • Regularly conduct fire drills, educate and train the individual safety officers of various entities.
    • Maintain disaster management system.
    • Deployment of Rapid response team, ensure a safe zone etc.
    • Commercially astute, risk averse & able to accurately forecast cost.
    • Multi-tasking, self-motivated, energetic team player with a flexible and adaptable approach to work.

    Plant Supervisor (Paint)

    Product: Paint and Coatings etc.

    Our client, a leading paint and coating manufacturing company, is in need of a Plant Supervisor that will supervise manufacturing staff, coordinate and cooperate with various cross functional team for smooth operations of plant.

    Responsibilities:

    • To set the direction of the plant operation, achieve monthly / weekly / daily production plan, and prepare action plans for self and individual team members.
    • To supervise daily shop floor operations and achieve production targets as specified on daily, weekly or monthly basis.
    • To maintain work flow by monitoring steps of the process; setting processing variables; observing control points and equipment; monitoring personnel and resources;
    • To facilitate corrections to malfunctions within process control points; initiating and fostering a spirit of cooperation within and between departments.
    • To ensure shop floor compliance with hygiene and safety standards.
    • To ensure day to day coordination among various functions for planning, procurement from other plants, production & dispatch planning as per customer requirements.
    • To plan for Manpower as per shop-floor operations and job allocation for the people on less production days.
    • To ensure key projects tracking on a continuous basis and submit periodical update to management.
    • To handle, work priorities and allocating resources to meet the assigned shop floor time lines and goals.
    • To enforce discipline, punctuality and safety as part of conduct among staff.
    • To do periodic audit inspection and ensure housekeeping, safety, personnel hygiene and environmental compliance through implementation of EHS.
    • To follow new projects as and when assigned for improvement and take responsibility for its successful execution after approval from Factory Manager and GM Operations.
    • To manage effective communication by setting individual targets, developing and motivating staff, providing of formal and informal feedback on performance and training needs - in order to maximize subordinate and department performance.
    • To prepare all applicable reports in time for accuracy and in order to ensure that they match the functional requirements, policies and standards.
    • To ensure compliance to all relevant safety, health and environmental procedures across the department in order to promote a healthy and safe work environment.
    • To perform other related duties or assignment as and when assigned.

    Requirements;

    • B.Sc. in Chemistry or any other related field with hands on experience in handling paint / coating shop floor.
    • Minimum of 5 years’ experience work experience in an FMCG company, especially chemicals and paints
    • Must have good knowledge about ISO, HACCP and Other applicable international standards.
    • Team handling experience of minimum 10 - 20 people.
