Responsibilities:

• Process invoices and cash receipts
• Record all transactions in Sage
• Payment upload and preparation of bank instructions for payments
• Record transactions in Cash inflow report
• Prepare daily bank balance report.
• Follow and maintain proper document control procedures
• Ensure weekly and monthly reconciliation of CB module on sage
• Prepare invoices as required by other departments
• Prepare daily cash flow and bank balance report to be circulated to the Management team
• Carry out payment processing within agreed timelines and parameters
• All other duties and responsibilities as assigned

REQUIREMENTS

Hard skills and experience:

• A bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
• A minimum of 4-6 years cognate experience or any similar combination of education and experience
• Experience at a Big Four firm is an added advantage.
• A professional member of an industry-relevant association (ACCA or ICAN)
• Knowledge of accounting software/package.
• Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word. Advance proficiency in Microsoft Excel is mandatory.
• Knowledge of IFRS, local taxes and requirements.
• Experience in liaising with the auditors and managing an audit process from start to finish;
• Ability to create and manage a database

Soft skills:

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Reporting to the Events & Brand Activation Associate, the Brand Champion executes our telesales activities by reaching out to potential and existing customers directly by phone or other channels to encourage them to arrange site visits and talk to the Sales team.
• Uses data provided by the Sales and Marcoms teams to generate promising leads with persuasion and persistence.
• Provides brand recognition by leaving potential customers with an excellent impression of Alaro City and Rendeavour through effective customer relations, empathy, and effective communication skills.
• Plays a key role in our attendance at conferences, industry events, and shopping centre activations by actively and confidently networking with prospective clients and generating new leads.
• Leads and orchestrates early-stage sales conversations. Draws prospects into our sales funnel by persuading them to visit our stand, view demos, visit Alaro City etc.
• Enters data about sales interactions into CRM and manages follow-up of prospects.
• Works with Marcoms Operations & Research Associate to generate new targets and add to the CRM.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Head of Utilities is a strategic position that establishes and executes the business model and directs the strategy for city-scale utilities (water, power, gas, telecom and ICT) at Alaro City. A senior management position in Nigeria that works closely with the Construction & Delivery team, the Head of Utilities coordinates with Rendeavour group management and management of other Rendeavour cities.

The position is responsible for all aspects of utility management:

• Financial and business strategy and oversight
• Budgeting, planning and development
• Policy development and implementation
• Operations and Maintenance
• Personnel management
• Contract preparation and implementation  

Other responsibilities include:

• Lead and coordinate key engineering activities that affect Alaro City utilities.
• Provide leadership and coordination with all other groups to integrate project deliverables and plans to support procurement, construction, and commissioning activities.
• Ensure all regulatory reports and deadlines are adhered to.
• Monitor and oversee internal quality standards that are met for the operational deliverables of maintenance services.
• Prepare high-quality weekly, monthly and other periodic reports on the status of utilities at Alaro City.
• Implement and ensure enforcement of best practices, policies and procedures for the utilities businesses.
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships with other departments, regulatory agencies, consultants and customers.

REQUIREMENTS

Hard skills and experience:

• Undergraduate degree with a minimum of 15 years of hands-on experience in an engineering setup or utility infrastructure, including but not limited to electricity generation and water treatment and distribution.
• Leadership experience in an engineering or construction firm is a major plus.
• Experience in construction, operation and maintenance of utilities infrastructure.
• Effective development/project management skills.
• Excellent business analysis skills.
• Excellent budgeting and reporting skills.
