    Renewable Design Engineer / Estimator

    Job Description

    • We are looking for a well-rounded and driven Renewable Design Engineer / Estimator for conceptual design of solar developments and detailed design of solar projects.
    • The conceptual design will involve collecting preliminary site information, performing site layouts, and iterating different technology cases /scenarios to optimize energy output of the solar PV power plant.
    • Successful Candidate will be responsible for electrical calculations and designs, preparation of bill of materials, Project Cost estimate, detailed construction designs, as-built drawings, RFI, RFQ, and.
    • In this role, you will also work closely with our sales and project execution team.

    Specifically, the position will involve some or all of the following:

    • Design solar solutions for projects – Mini-Grid, Roof Tops, etc.
    • Provide cost estimate for projects based on prepared designs, drawing and BOQs.
    • Preparing SLD, Site Layout
    • Performing electrical calculations (cable sizing, Breakers, Grounding studies)
    • Materials / Equipment selection – Cables, Inverters, charge controllers, ESS, transformers, ATS, etc.
    • liaise with suppliers / vendor / OEM for favorable quote
    • Design of electrical panel – LV/MV Panels – synchronization panel, combiner box
    • Creating electrical single-line diagrams, panel schedules, or connection diagrams for solar electric systems, using computer-aided design (CAD) software
    • Performing PVsyst modeling.
    • Developing flawless designs conduit and wire scheduling, routing and equipment plans.
    • Executing designs that adhere to grid compliance and permitting requirements
    • Compiling detailed bills of materials based on system specifications
    • Coordinating with management team to develop complete proposal packages
    • Working with business development, project and installation teams to meet client’s needs and internal design standards.
    • Travel to project site as required and requested to support assignments on projects and overall office needs;
    • All other duties as assigned.

    Soft Requirements:

    • AutoCAD - expert level - at least 7 years hands-on drafting experience
    • PVsyst at advance level and knowledge of other PV design software preferred (Homer, PVCase, Helioscope, Helios 3D, SunDAT, or PVMega).
    • ETAP
    • Microsoft office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, project)

    Qualifications

    • Degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering / Renewable Energy Engineering. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent written & verbal communication skills. Previous internship and/or related consulting experience (preferred).

    Candidates must have sound experience with the following:

    • 8 - 10 years of professional experience performing solar engineering design (required).
    • Electrical distribution systems at 11kV and 33kV power levels
    • Able to perform Electrical calculations.
    • Knowledge of electrical design theory and concepts.
    • Knowledge of IEC, NEC Code and AC/DC Design Theory.
    • Ability to work collaboratively with others towards resolving design or drawing issues as appropriate and to accomplish objectives.
    • Ability to independently complete required design
    • Ability to independently perform power optimization studies using PVsyst to meet client requirements or propose feasible options for any given site.
    • COREN Certification is an added advantage.

    Revenue Optimization Officer

    Core Responsibility

    • The Function is primarily as a Revenue Optimization Officer for A4&T

    Principal Duties and Responsibilities

    • Daily report of Sites performances
    • Develop and implement comprehensive revenue strategies on all mini grid sites
    • Conduct data analysis to derive actionable insights across subsidiaries
    • Collaborate with product and engineering teams for optimization
    • Identify and target specific customer segments using it to drive revenue.
    • Align sales and marketing efforts with revenue goals.
    • Develop accurate revenue forecasts and budgets across all sites
    • Optimize operational efficiency to reduce costs using data generated
    • Assess and manage risks affecting revenue streams
    • Leverage technology for process improvement
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams
    • SHS recovery across states
    • Establish and monitor key performance indicators

    Qualifications / Education

    • B.Sc / HND in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Marketing, or a related field is often required.
    • Basic Knowledge of Excel, and PowerPoint. Willingness to travel.
    • 1-3 years work experience in an energy company, financial institution, or solar company.

    Skill Set:

    Senior Solar Engineer

    Job Description

    • We are seeking a talented and experienced Solar Engineer to join our team of renewable energy experts. As a Senior Solar Engineer, you will be responsible for the design, installation, and commissioning of solar energy systems for our residential, commercial, and industrial clients.
    • The ideal candidate will have a strong background in solar engineering, with a focus on project management, system design, and commissioning.
    • In this role, you will work closely with our clients to understand their energy needs and develop customized solar solutions that meet their requirements. You will also be responsible for project timelines and ensuring that all projects are completed on time.

    Specifically, the position will involve some or all of the following:

    • Installation of solar systems for projects – Mini-Grid, Roof Tops, etc.
    • Solar system design including array layouts, DC string sizing, equipment layouts, and utility interconnections for rooftop, and ground mount systems
    • Prepare drawing and BOQs.
    • Provide support on technical proposal and costing.
    • Electrical calculations for cable, Breakers, Conduit Schedules
    • Materials / Equipment selection – Batteries, Cables, Inverters, charge controllers, ESS, transformers, ATS, etc.
    • Install, inspect, maintain and repair solar systems
    • Provide technical support during installation, testing and commissioning.

    Qualifications

    • Degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering
    • Must have experience in Mini-grid/C&I Solar project O&M.
    • Minimum of 5 years’ experience on full EPC, Design/Build projects from start to finish
    • Able to perform Electrical calculations.
    • Knowledge of electrical design theory and concepts.
    • Knowledge of IEC and AC/DC Design Theory.
    • Ability to work collaboratively with others towards resolving design, drawing issues.
    • COREN Certification is an added advantage.

    Software Requirements:

    • AutoCAD - at least 4 years’ experience
    • PVsyst or other PV design software (Homer, Helioscope).
    • Microsoft office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, project).
