Job Description

• We are looking for a General Surgeon to join our client’s team and perform a variety of surgical procedures on our patients in our health facilities.
• A General Surgeon is a medical professional who performs surgeries and other procedures for patients who suffer from different medical conditions.
• The General Surgeon’s responsibilities include educating patients on their surgical options, preparing patients for surgery and leading surgeries as needed. Ultimately, you will work with a team of medical professionals overseeing the medical and surgical care of patients.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and advise patients on the risks involved with having surgery
• Perform surgical procedures to prevent or correct injury, disease, deformities and patient function while adhering to regulatory and ethical protocols
• Follow established surgical techniques during surgery
• Prescribe preoperative and postoperative treatment and procedures
• Ensure sterility in the operating room, and all equipment and instruments
• Direct and coordinate activities of hospital staff for proper patient care
• Oversee all treatment prior to and post-surgery, and identify associated risks
• Maintain the highest regard for patient dignity and observe the precepts of the Hospital Association Rights for patients
• Plan and execute disease/illness prevention and health promotion programs

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Medicine Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS)
• Valid MDCN practicing license.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience practicing as a General Surgeon.
• Fantastic manual dexterity, hand-eye coordination and visuospatial awareness
• Superb organizational and time management skills
• Excellent decision-making skills and communication
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Emotionally resilient with the ability to make patients feel at ease
• Great management and leadership skills
• Relevant training and/or certifications as a General Surgeon

Brief Job Profile

• Act as the point of contact between the CFO and internal/external clients.
• Screen and direct phone calls, requests, etc. and distribute correspondence, as appropriate.
• Manage the CFO’s diary and email, highlighting correspondence that requires urgent attention.
• Keep and maintain accurate records and documentation of correspondences (print and electronic) on behalf of the CFO.
• Carry out research, market intelligence and business analysis on behalf of the CFO, as may be necessary.
• Engage with the Senior Management Team and represent the CFO at meetings as may be necessary.
• Prepare relevant reports, write-ups and presentations on behalf of the CFO, etc.

Job Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum 3 years experience as Executive Assistant, Personal Assistant, Technical Assistant etc
• BSc / HND in Financial courses (Accounting, Banking and finance, Economics etc)
• Excellent written communication and verbal presentation skills, with the ability to maintain confidentiality about sensitive information related to the work of the CFO and the overall organization.
• Ability to Multitask, cope with pressure and composure.
• Ability to remain positive with high energy daily.
• Highly resourceful team player, with the ability to be effective independently.
• Excellent organizational & management skills that reflect the ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks seamlessly with excellent attention to detail.
• Comfortable flagging issues and coming up with solutions.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and handling of virtual meetings.
• Very strong interpersonal skills, able to build relationships with key stakeholders.
• Flexibility to provide support during off-hours as needed.
