    Logistics Officer

    Our client, an innovative Agriculture Company in BENIN is looking for a reliable, dependable Logistics Officer who  will be responsible for arranging freight services for our  operations and customer base.

    Responsibilities:

    • Develop reports showing transportation costs on precise projects and moves.
    • Conduct physical cataloguing, storaging, warehousing, inventorying, material  control coordination and data entry assisting different supply activities. 
    • Support with maintenance of logistics policies, procedures, support plans and similar data. 
    • Provide assistance for maintaining logistics planning tasks. 
    • Review and analyze program effectiveness, suggest and execute on time improvements and  corrective actions. 
    • Coordinate accountability of property and issues maintenance. 
    • Investigate inventory divergence, resolve issues and update database to replicate property  movement. 
    • Provide advice and recommend on pertinent accountability procedures and policies,  discrepancies of information and divergence from regulations. 
    • Establish and maintain maximum and minimum consumables inventory levels. 
    • Administer and maintain inventory control program systems and electronic property  management. 
    • Develop pertinent schedules, reports and conduct recurring inventories of supplies of  poultry feeds, and property. 
    • Administer and implement inventory management program. 
    • Establish and update regularly work priorities and stations and fulfill routine tasking by supervisor. 
    • Coordinates with unit managers and co-workers to assure apt automated system(s) are  upgraded and outcomes are accurate and current. 
    • Document shipments to ensure that they are in compliance with customs rules and  regulations. 
    • Track the location of the shipment or goods. Prepare goods for shipment, using the best,  most economical packaging
    • Ensure companies file and maintain accurate records for all exports

    Requirements 

    • Associate Degree or an equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience. 
    • Preferred: Bachelors in business, logistics, or other related field 
    • 1+ years’ previous experience in logistics management or coordination 
    • Working knowledge of PC computer systems and cargo management software preferred 
    • Excellent communication and time management skills 
    • Well-developed motivational and leadership skills

    Harvesting Operations Officer

    Responsibilities: 

    • Develop and maintain a good working relationship with poultry operations manager,  and farm manager. 
    • Keep detailed harvest records and report weekly.
    • Run, supervise, and assign harvest assistants.
    • Maintain efficiency, speed, and quality of harvest work.
    • Responsible for quality control of all produce leaving the production line.
    • Monitor quantity of harvested produce and take it out of the field
    • Compile, print, and distribute harvest list daily
    • Oversee wash station coordinator and wash station

    Disease Prevention and Control Officer

    Our client, an innovative Agriculture Company in BENIN is seeking for a Disease Prevention & Control Officer who can perform investigative and educational work involving disease control and prevention and immunization activities.

    Responsibilities:

    • Establish and/or verify the diagnosis of the disease in question in order to identify the source and  mode of transmission by consulting with health care providers and collecting specimens for 
    • laboratory analysis. 
    • Initiate and complete investigative procedures involving poultry with suspected or confirmed  disease. 
    • Participate in the coordination of activities regarding the analysis of data and development of  intervention strategies to address specific issues related to food/feed safety as they relate to 
    • poultry animals health; and the prevention and integrated control of food-borne pathogens,  residues and contaminants.

    • Write and maintain case reports containing possible disease outbreaks.
    • Inform health care providers about treatment, prevention, and control methods during disease  investigations and outbreaks or by sending blast faxes, conducting workshops, and arranging 
    • personal visits. 
    • Organize and participate in ongoing prevention programs in order to implement measures to  prevent and control disease. 
    • Perform all work duties and activities in accordance with Farmforte policies, procedures, and  safety practices.

    Requirements:

    • A Bachelor degree in science in veterinary medicine and a qualified Veterinary Medical Doctor.
    • 2-4 years experience in large scale poultry operations or public health
    • To have knowledge of causes, modes of transmission, and methods used in disease prevention  and control.

    Poultry Operations Manager

    Our client, an innovative Agriculture Company is looking for a Poultry Operations Manager to collaborate with other farm personnel to develop farm schedules and meet processing goals.

    Responsibilities:

    • Ensures the safety and efficiency of poultry farm operations.
    • In consultation with the Farm Manager, the Poultry Operations Manager prioritizes tasks and decides on the necessary amount of machinery and number of workers.
    • Record data and create reports on worker attendance, budget, supplies and livestock growth.
    • Put in place standard operating procedures intended to run operations effortlessly, protect humans or livestocks especially against diseases or harmful biological agents.
    • Assign duties to poultry farm workers and ensure that they are carried out in an efficient manner; for example, duties might include feeding poultry, shipping eggs or maintaining the production
    • center or the slaughtering and processing facility.
    • Oversee the use of machinery.
    • Training new workers.
    • Provide care to injured or ill livestock.

    • Ensure that good biosecurity, flock health and proper feed management is maintained.
    • Manage logistics and supply inventory of the farm.
    • Ensure that all equipment is maintained and up to standard.

    Requirements:

    • Minimum of Bachelor's degree
    • At least 4 years management experience in large scale poultry operations
    • Excellent interpersonal, organizational and communications skills
    • Adaptable to change and able to work with people on many levels
    • Ability to work under pressure
    • Ability to handle moderate physical activity
