    Service Engineer

    Job Description

    • To provide service and support for Emerson products, including maintenance services, diagnostics, installation and commissioning, start-up and problem resolution.
    • Perform as a focal point for customer technical support including service contracts, projects, and technical solutions.
    • Advise customers on preventative maintenance and configuration adjustments to improve product performance and customer satisfaction.

    Job Responsibilities

    • Perform routine maintenance tasks in accordance with customer requirements
    • Provide recommendations to the customer on product or solution, enhancements and system health checks
    • Take ownership in service project activities coordination
    • Carry out start-up / installation/commissioning, fault analysis and repairs on Emerson Process Management products, including investigation of problems being experienced at customer sites
    • Assist Sales Engineers in the demonstration of Emerson Process Management products to potential customers and to provide guidance in product application and after sales service and proactively promote service
    • Develop and implement product/system configuration changes at site to meet customer requirements
    • Provide on-site on the job customer instruction in the application, maintenance and operation of Emerson Process Management products
    • Be available as required to support the on-call rotation
    • Comply with all Emerson requirements for business processes including timesheets, site visit reports and all other documentation in line with Emerson Process Management internal procedures

    Basic Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s Degree in an Engineering discipline (including control engineering, computer science, or electronics, etc.)
    • Good in English, plus any specific local language requirements

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Associate level certification for all services the individual is performing at site
    • An understanding of Control & Instrumentation theory including control loop configuration
    • Sound knowledge of Emerson Process Management, Process Systems and Solutions products
    • Knowledge and experience of automation and control systems in process industries, typically with 2-4 years’ experience in related areas.
    • Good verbal and written communication skills
    • Driver’s License preferred
    • This role is focused on products and services at industrial process plants. Travel and work in customer sites is required, including international travel as needed.

    Inside Sales Application Engineer PRM NG

    Your role responsibilities will include, but not be limited to, the following: 

    • Review of Project requirements (Data sheets, Specifications, Procedures etc.) to Identify the scope & Emerson Products that can be offered. 
    • Align Customer and Project specifications with Industry standards and product/factory capabilities; prepare exception lists and addendums as necessary.
    • Generate Skid Sizing Calculations, GA drawings, P&ID’s and detailed Technical & Commercial Proposal required to bid.
    • Prepare tender packs for Supply Chain Management to issue to 3rd party suppliers e.g., Filters, Heaters, Meters, Valves...  Technically valuate and help drive compliant offers for consideration in overall skid costing.
    • Generate Skid Fabrication Drawings for 3rd party suppliers to ensure accurate and competitive pricing. 
    • Directly work with PRM and other business units for Emerson product as appropriate e.g. Regulators, PRV, Valves, Flow Computers, Meters, Transmitters 
    • Prepare overall costing sheet to review with PMO team prior to DOA request.
    • Facilitate with PMO for Tier 2 & Tier 3 Project RFQ’s right from quote stage to ensure the project requirements are taken care and LT is offered as per PMO’s confirmation.
    • Size and selects best Emerson solution using proprietary sizing software or as per international standards.
    • Produce formal quotations for customers based on best Emerson solution utilizing price books or quotations from intercompany factories or 3rd party suppliers.
    • Field general questions about PRM products and services.
    • Follow-up with customers to ensure that the quote has been received, answer any technical/commercial clarifications, and identify when an order may be placed.
    • Ensure resultant purchase orders are clean and in line with quotation and agreed terms and conditions.
    • Work in a timely, accurate, and proactive manner with a focus on customer service levels (i.e. meeting bid submission deadlines and turnaround time metrics) 
    • Continue to enhance her/his knowledge of PRM products, applications, and industries.
    • Works collaboratively with the team as necessary and focuses on meeting monthly/yearly budget targets.
    • Supports Price Agreement offer preparation as and when required.
    • Always works within the PRM DOA and follows Emerson procedures (Ethics, ITC etc.)

    What do I need to be considered for this role?

    • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Instrumentation)
    • Must be fluent in English.
    • AutoCAD or CAD works experience.
    • 2-4 years of experience in Piping Design for Oil & Gas systems and selection of Equipment, like Valves, Filters, Meters, Transmitters, Manometers, etc.
    • Master’s degree in engineering (Mechanical, Process, Instrumentation).
    • Familiar with Major End users in MEA region, such as Aramco, ADNOC, QP, QG, Shell, BP, Exxon Mobil, KOC, KNPC, PDO, etc and their Standards & Specifications, will be an added advantage.
    • 5-8 years+ of direct experience with pressure reducing, metering or injection skid design.
    • Working experience with EPC Projects requirements.
    • Speaking French & Arabic will be an added advantage.
